Lightroom hides JPEGs when there is an accompanying RAW file. The majority of photographers - even amateur - import JPEGs alongside the RAW files. This will need to be supported for a lot of people to consider the switch.
In Lightroom for iPad/iPhone, being able to view full size photos in the import window (from SD or Camera) would be HUGE for photographers like me who need the fastest and most efficient workflow possible. Right now, I have to do a workflow of:Snapbridge(Nikon app) -> select RAWphotos in the app-> download the selected ones to ipad -> import the downloaded RAW files into LR from the camera roll. Why? because snapbridge offers me the opportunity to view the photos from the camera in full size, zoom and select them from the full screen for later download. But this workflow adds extra steps that could be avoided if Lightroom had the chance to do it itself. Being able to see the photos in full size, being able to zoom in (with a medium optimal resolution), going forwards or backwards through the photos, and being able to select them with a checkbox. This is necessary to be able to see which photos you really want to import (focusing, composition, gestures of p
Nice to have an update to the Lightroom cropping tool on Apple iPad to be more 3 deminsional in photo movement while adjusting photo inside the aspect ratio edit boundaries. To be able to zoom in/out while at the same time moving up/down/left/right. The Apple Photo App on iPad has a great cropping tool that does this. It's much more fluid and better at adjusting photos while cropping.
Please consider creating shortcuts for the Geometry -> Auto tool and Geometry -> Level tool as you have done for the Geometry -> Guided Upright tool (Shift G). This feature would save me so much time in editing photos for customers. I appreciate the community support and consideration.
I'm soon getting one of those phones that can do 50MP dng files, it's still a phone so there won't be much detail if viewed 1:1, so I have no trouble using LRs lossy dng compression on this (as this is almost lossless anyway and a very smart algorithm, only reducing if it is possible (high ISO photos don't compress well cause noise is interpreted as detail, which is fine)). But that's something only LR on desktop can do, after the photo went through the cloud, on my limited data plan or my slow upload rate on Wifi. So how about giving us the following options for the mobile app:- give us the options to convert to lossless and lossy compressed dng on the mobile device- option for autoconvert by filetype and folder (always compress dng files found in the camera folder on import) This would save me a lot of manual steps and make the upload much easier. There difference between 100MB and 12MB does matter (especially with not visible loss of detail).
On iphone I can't change the keyboard layout to Hebrew so I can't search based on the album name.
Shared album display options should be expanded to include the display of photo titles and copyright in addition to the options of displaying an album's title and photo caption. You can call up these fields of meta data by tapping the information button; however these expanded display options should be available as defaults as overlays or in a frame.
Is there a way to change the selection color in Lightroom? I have a client who has trouble seeing what photos are selected because the white outline color blends into a lot of their photo archive. It would be great to be able to change it to red, or pink or something starkly different.
There is still no good solution for geotagging available from any vendor of either cameras or photography software. This is quite frustrating in this day and age. The cirteria for something I would consider a "good solution": Not tied to a specific camera brand No additional manual steps when importing photos Does not require a PC/Mac Does not require a smartphone (for getting postion data, because of limited battery life) So how could that work: Many hikers already track thier position using GPS watches like Garmin (or others) and those tracks usually get synced to some cloud service (like Garmin Connect, Komoot, Stava,...) so the idea would be to connect Lightroom, wich is also a cloud service, to those services to automatically add position data to photos based on timestamps. If that is too much to ask, an alternative could be for Lightroom to provide an API to add location data so that external parties can implement such a service.
Lightroom have significant feature differences across the supported platforms, which result in a quite different user experience depending on the platform. My request is to implement the existing feature set in all platforms, especially those features concerning image review and classification. So far, Ihave used LR on Win, android and ipad On windows version I miss the filter by dates, or at least date segmentation as in mobile. On ipad/android. I miss many things: compare 2 images, apply a tag to multiple images, add location info, add gps data, search on tag list, check the albums assigned to an image, see all content contained in an album group... Many of those requests are apparently not so hard to implement, and would contribute to reinforce the multiplatform aproach, that plays a significant role in my subscription decision. Thanks for your great job!
i hope you will add chromatic aberration effect. Because that effect give you amazing vintage style. Lightroom it's the best editing app on ios. I like to see that option in the app. Im forced to pay to other app to get that effect on my photos. Please make that happen. thanks for the amazing work
Hi,It is my first suggestion here. I have searched for a already similar idea posted, but no result. I am quite always annoyed by the import process: I often feel losing my time by comparing Photo N-1, Photo N & Photo N+1 to get the best One (Rafale Mode for example). I would like Lightroom goes further in terms of pre-filtering, pre-sorting photos based on focus & subject.
New Mac user (M1) chip is amazing! In Lightroom CC where is has connections if it linked to your Google Photos would be amazing..... Any other suggested way to import from Phone be it Android or do I have to surcome and get an iPhone too? but that still doesm't allow me to import, unless I use Lightroom for mobile I guess?
why can't you provide Search in discover of Lightroom mobile iOS app same how it is in Android???
Hello, you know what would be awesome if on the Galaxy Z Fold u give us a setting option that allows the user to have the sliders on the bottom screen and the picture on the top in flex mode. I'm actually shocked no one thought of that while using Lightroom on the Fold4. Thank you very much. I love the app either way, just thought this could take it over the top!
It would be very useful to allow the user to create preset GPS locations that can easily be plugged in to photos, rather than having to go to the Google map, copy the GPS location, and then paste it in. If you could have named presets for your locations in a list that can be maintained, it would be so much more streamlined when you're updating thousands of photos at dozens of locations!
Dear Adobe, it must be an oversight: I have to export all my versions of images SEPERATELY with 3 (!)clicks. (three dots, export, choose folder, export) In lightroom classic I can export all my versions (its called differently there, whatsoever) Please let us export all versions of a image with 1 click. And include them in any export I do. They are just not included. Why?
I have many folders on my hard drive containing well organised images all in appropriately named folders. It would be great if Lightroom (desktop) could use that folder name to create a new Album when I import the contents of a folder, and it would then save me typing in the name - I know it seems a bit lazy, maybe, but when you have several hundred folders for images it does make the process a bit slicker! This could be an option on import (check box?) that you just click and LR would then confirm to you that a new album of that name will be created and used for this import. I guess it should only be an available option when selecting 1 folder - would be too complicated to allow multiple folders imported, or files from separate folders.
As an event photographer where the event participants are often the same, the most frustrating thing I find with Lightroom is that when I share albums using a web public link, the recipients will have to dig through their WhatsApp's to find my link if they ever want to see an album a second time. They only get visibility of one album at a time by following the link. Contrast that to google photos, where you're forced (frictionlessly) to log in, meaning any album you're given a link to automatically gets added to your portfolio of albums, and every time I visit Google Photos I'm bombarded with great old albums that increase my engagement with their platform. Desired user experience - every time I receive a public share Lightroom link, I want the option to add it to my account along with all the others I've been shared into. Specifically I want this feature on behalf of people I'm sharing with. Actual user experience - people look at th
I would like to see the option in Lightroom mobile that allows the image to be cut at the crop. For example, I want to take a 16x9 photo and crop it to 5x4, then re-scale the image to create a white boarder without having to export the crop, then import the image, scale, then export again.
Add support for 2 screen devices as the Surface Duo.
Hi all, Will be really nice and time saver to add "recently edited" file in Lr mobile. In some cases I am exiting the app. And when I go back I would like in one tap to continue my work. Please back me up. Thank you.
I bought a new, fresh M2 SSD on which I wanted to run Lightroom... But jezus Christ, Adobe makes such a mess of all the files and locations, it's terrible. - I cannot chose where to install Creative Cloud, only on C: - Lucky I could in Creative Cloud, where to install apps. I chose my new SSD for Lightroom - Lightroom is installed on new M2 SSD, but data still ends up on C:\Users\Chris\AppData\Local\Adobe\Lightroom CC\Data In settings I could change a lot of folders, but not the main one where it holds the data, see screenshot... - Only for originals, i can decide.... So whatever I try, it still forces me to work with C: I feel like I am working with an App that was built in the 90's. DO BETTER. [Moderator: Moved to the Lightroom eco-system forum]
Hello, I'm very much enjoying this version of LR. It would be great to have a slider in the masking panel using the brush tool to allow opacity changes for the mask. This would allow a blending of existing image and a finer tuning of the changes made. Just a thought and if i have missed something please let me know. Thank you.
I really need at least one level more regarding Presets, so it easier to organize them. I.e My Presets Color ... ... B&W ... ... Your Presets ---- Or even better My Presets Color Landscape ... Portrait ... B&W Landscape --- Portrait ... Your Presets ...
