Does Lightroom Mobile work in landscape mode on an iPhone?

It would be so great if Lightroom brought back being able to edit sideways on Lightroom mobile! I really miss that feature, I feel it really makes it easier to compose my crops and get a better idea of the more intricate edits I'm making.

Does anyone know if it's still possible or have they done away with it completely on mobile?

Hello @pjglad

Apologies for the lag -- I was on PTO last week.

I can't share specific dates for upcoming work (company policy), but will say that the team has heard the feedback here and continues to weigh this against competing priorities.

I wonder if they will remove it for Android too.

Actions speak. Adobe isn't bringing it back.

How long does it take to re-insert a removed function? I can't explain why nobody has used this function. After a concert or theater, I imported the images into Lightroom Classic and synchronized them with the cloud so that I could make selections and light edits on the go the next day. That way I could make good use of my free time to work on photos. Always in landscape mode, otherwise it makes no sense for me with landscape photos.

Honestly, it's incomprehensible why a useful function has been removed just because people were too lazy to get to grips with it and learn how to work with it. On the other hand, it's actually quite simple, you just have to hold the phone horizontally.

Just noting that the pinned statement re tracking metrics was corrected to say that it's being worked on, essentially—the original tracking metrics statement was made in error.  But 4 months is a long time to be "working on it" for an important feature. I think that if they were/are updating the mobile UI, it was a mistake to release changes that disabled the landscape edit ability, but obviously we don't know the full story on roadmaps or whatever. Just that it's not good for us as users to have lost the feature!

They said their tracking metrics said no one used it. It's now been almost 4 months since they said it would be coming back. I've already cancelled my sub.. may come back if edit in landscape returns.
