Feature Requests

When making social media content, I will usually use the same elements but need the image to be resized for Linkedin, Instagram, Twitter, etc preferred image size. I feel it would add to my workflow if I could save one photoshop document with multiple layer comps for each media platform, and keeping all the files related to a specific post all in one place. It seems currently, Layer Comps should allow me to do this, but the only thing missing is the ability to save canvas size in layer comps.

In CS konnte man per Rechtsklick am Lineal die Einheiten wechseln, das funktioniert auch in CC. Was innerhalb von CC nicht mehr funktioniert, ist die Übernahme der neuen Linealeinheit auf weitere Eingaben z.B. bei einer festen Definition mit dem Auswahlwerkzeug. Man muss daher die Einheiten selbst hinzufügen, was bei stetig wechselnden Einheiten etwas nervig ist und meiner Ansicht nach auch nicht logisch.

would be nice if photoshop has a recorder or a timelapse tool to post on social media or to show the process to a customer because sometimes we just merge the layers and lost a lot of the process to create a gif for example or what else.

Hey there, I would like to suggest a Brush mode where there would be no buildup when putting down some strokes with brushes. The Opacity of all the strokes would be determined by the Pen pressure overall. so if I keep making strokes with a 50% pressure let's say, all strokes that hit that 50% pressure would match in opacity and not buildup unless the pressure is supperior to 50%.What i'm suggesting is similar to the Greater brush blending mode seen in Krita and the Compare density blending mode in Clip Studio Paint.Here it is in action in KritaAnd here is what it does in Clip Studio PaintAs a concept artist, such tool would be amazing to recreate a more traditional feel and even more for digital tools!Thank you for your time!

Feature Enhancement Request: Include an option to Export As with Content Credentials AND all metadata, i.e. EXIF Camera Data, IPTC, GPS, etc.   What: I value the concept of Content Credentials, and the Photoshop beta works as designed for me in release 24 but... its only availble via 'export as' which has an option for no metadata or just copyright metadata but no option to include/retain all original metadata (Camera Data, IPTC, GPS, etc.). Why: If content credentials are going to enhance protection and authenticity then an option to inlcude original EXIF metadata further supports authenticity.   For me Content Crediential are of very limited value if metadata GPS, dates, camera etc. is excluded.  

Not enough warnings before a smart object gets rasterized. This is a huge issue. Adobe should take it back to manually rasterizing the object by the menu option not just a mare wrong click with a brush. 

Would it be possible to add a way to duplicate layer(s) to multiple files at once? I often find myself duplicating the same layers or group of layers to multiple files one by one....right click, duplicate, chose the file, okay, right click, duplicate, chose the next file, okay, etc. It would be great to have an option where I could choose apply to all open files, or be able to select multiple files to duplicate to.  Thank you.

If you drag an image into the canvas and have the option enabled to convert it to a smart object automatically, when you try to edit that smart object you are unable to save it to update it. Instead you get the usual save dialog and if you save in the default folder (temporary items) it doesn't actually update the smart object.

I've been a long-time Photoshop user since PS07. I really wish the pen tool in photoshop behaved much like the pen tool in Illustrator. It is often difficult to create precise curb lines in Photoshop because the handles don't behave anything similar to Illustrator. I can further explain if an Adobe representative responds to this post. Thank you

Hello, why we call this window "Pictogramas" in spanish? When spanish language provides the word Glifos?    

Evry image editor has such an option except  Psh. I wonder why?      Could Psh at least aloow random jitters be  recorded in actions. That way we could  do it manually at least for evry channel.Better be a sort of quick brush stroke  recorder button I hope.

Version updates to Camera Raw reset my preferences to 8 bits.  I always forget this happens and end up having to reprocess hundreds of photos.  This has been a repeated issue, including with my currently installed version 15.0.0.1264.  Why can you not ensure that preferences carry over from previous versions?

It would be great to get the video timeline working on Photoshop M1. I have seen on other forums that it is causing issues for quite a few people. It's an essential bit of kit for many animators. 

The ability to have a folder/group utilize the same clipping mask ability as a single layer.  This feature would allow the contents of a group to be tweaked and organized in a much cleaner fashion than having dozens of layers as clipping masks individually. It would remove the frustration of those clipping masks being broken or undone accidentally. 

If you have ever used Procreate on iPad, everything you do from the moment you open that document is recorded and available to look at in the form of a timelapse of your process. This is really good for presenting work and how it was made or just to look through yourself whenever you feel like it. I do graphic design and it would be such a great feature to be able to download the timelapse and use it as part of my portfolio website. I think is a must-have feature and I feel like a lot of people would enjoy as well as benefit from it.

Not sure if I missed it or not or it's just not mentioned yet, but if it's not already a feature, I know many people would find "blend if" as a very useful blending option.

I think there are two things Clip Studio Paint has over Photoshop that keeps comic artists away, other than the paid plan, it's more advaced brush settings and the 3D model library. Anyone with Blender could easily replicate the 3D models, but it irks me that we don't have the option for a sort of built-in brush ink bleed. I attached an image of what I'm talking about. It's a panel from a Batman comic being inked by Ryan Benjamin, and you can find the full video on YT. You see how at the end of each stroke, there's that blob of ink? That makes it feel so natural.So basically, I want that.But I think there's a more ambitious idea to be had. Photoshop is the sort of all-encompassing program that everyone has. It has a timeline for animation, a video editor, and brushes, but it's not really leaning into it. This works fine when the size is 1px to 10px, but only increases/decreases in increments of 5 pixels instead of 1 pixel after that. Please add the option to customize it throughout the brush size so no matter what size I'm at I can set a fixed increment for the shortcut for precise controls.Thanks.

Hello.In the new version of photoshop. JPEG option is not reflecting when trying to save file . It is defaulting to PSD all the time. In the past version the saving process was very fast.I the past version: a raw files arrived as JPEG on the phososhop window from BRIDGE ( VIA RAW) , then to save the process was simple: Command/shift/s , then we named the file, then Command /Shift/ W and it was DONE.Now, We have to SAVE AS , SCROL down to change FORMAT, close, then NOT SAVE the remaining RAW file, THEN CLOSE THIS ONE.IT makes thing slower but there is the danger to save a PSD file in the group of FInal pictures and send them as PSD to client, which is obviously a problem considerting most clients wouldn't know what to do with this,Thank you fo fixing this!!!Pascal

Currently the "export as" feature will centre the image after adjusting the canvas size. I want the image to remain in the same position in the png. Can you please add this option please?

Photoshop is an incredibly helpful compositing tool, both on its own and in conjunction with After Effects. One of my most commmonly used tools in Photoshop, the Spot Healing Brush, does not work in 32 bit documents. This is really unfortunate, as this means its much harder to retouch EXR plates and other VFX elements that are quite common in ACES and other high end workflows. I'd love to have this tool available in Photoshop for 32 bit documents, and it would be legitimately game changing. The speed with which I can do object removal on other documents using it is exactly what I'm after, and I'm curious as to why its disabled in 32 bit documents. If this is helpful to you to, don't forget to upvote, so Adobe can see how useful this feature is to their community!

before Photoshop 2022 there was a quick share menu in the top right hand corner of Photoshop, allowing me to quickly send a jpg snapshot to Airdrop, or Photos, and it was greatthen you got rid of itPlease bring back a quick share option
