I am having an issue with displaying layer overlay, as I am working on a WIN10, PS CC machine, but I am based in Belgium (and using azerty keyboard) and therefor, I cannot reach the \ shortcut.  For me, that is ALT GR+<, which PS does not recognize.  It is driving me crazy! I have read articles and understand the menu shortcut is hidden (that is why I have just spent the last hour searching for it in vain, before I found this article).

I have also had to change "change brush size" in order to use my wacom intuos pro tablet some years ago (from "[" or "{" and "]" or "}" to "(" and ")". Does someone know how I can display the mask overlay (in ruby red, as Adobe calls it) for my machine?  Reading the above, I don't fancy changing my keyboard just for PS and having to change it afterwards every time, as I often switch between browsing, emails, PS and LR.

My question is thus : Make the backslash key for showing/hiding the mask overlay assignable to another key in Photoshop.

@CShubert Thank you for your answer, I hope Adobe create a fix, it should be something easy, the backslash it's working on Lightroom but not in Photoshop with non US distribution keyboards.

@geoffreyn49540042 I'm using Mac, just request you the access to the drive, I hope your plugin works on mac too.
Thank you so much!!!!

The team has been aware of this issue for 4 freaking years now... this is just truly, truly embarrassing, but oh well.

@geoffreyn49540042I'd love to test your plugin. Thank YOU for doing something to make functions accessible to Adobe customers outside the English market.

Hi, @Rodrigo Folch Photography You should try out the Master keys plugin for Photoshop; it could be the solution you are looking for. There is a beta version out now that you can download and test. Are you using a Windows PC or MAC?

Hi Cory, I'm still having the original issue described in this thread.
Non US keyboards like spanish ones cannot use the "\" shortcut in Photoshop because we need to press "AltGr" + "\".
Is it there any way to fix this in Ps?

@geoffreyn49540042

Hello! This seems to be exactly what I'm looking for. But sadly I cannot download it via your Dropbox link as it says I don't have the rights to do so... is there any alternative?

Greetings from Germany.
