I'd love a better way to organize brushes, shapes, and styles. Perhaps a way to tag them, then search or sort by tag.

I guess, but then you are loading and unloading, replacing, appending all the time. Seems like a long way to go to organize your tools.

You can already do most of that by organizing your brushes into files by type of brush, then loading just the files you need.

Why don't you guys add the ability to organize the gradient, brushes, shapes in photoshop? You end up with a hundred brushes that all look the same - instead they should be grouped: "grunge brushes", "light effects", "textures", etc....wouldn't that be so much easier? The same logic can be applied elsewhere. This just seems like a no-brainer to me and would make so many of the palettes easier to manage and use.

There are multiple requests in there, and some indicate that he may not know about the menus or the preset manager - I just want to make sure he know the functionality that already exists, then hear from him whether that is sufficient or not.

This is not the same. He is asking for a visual ability to sort and organize brushes and/or tools within the panel. The preset manager does not have that functionality and is external. If you are unclear about the concept, ask so we can explain it more, rather than provide an incorrect answer. The Brush or Tool presets panels do not have the ability to create sub-folders or sort brushes/tools. This would be extremely valuable.

You can do that in the preset manager.
You can't do it in the palette because clicking a preset does something, and all the modifier keys are already in use.

It does show up in both, immediately.
Are you confusing the brush TIP SHAPE section with the brush PRESETS section?

Please try to understand that Photoshop serves many professionals in many different areas. Video professionals and 3D professionals also have different needs and requests (including many we have implemented).

I was making brushes today... and I realize by default I tend to put some brush presets on the brushes. I'd like a triangle or a separate tab in order to set the presets as I'm making the brushes. This includes scattering, spacing, etc. What you get in the panel.

Help me not create duplicates for the users I try to cater to.

You can access favorites by loading the preset file via the menus.
You can delete, move, save, etc. multiple selected presets in the preset manager.
