P: Please update Open/Save dialogs in Adobe products to Vista dialogs

Damn I cant believe Adobe haven't fixed this yet....
I thought it was self evident the file dialog was being left in the stone ages. Fact is all my other professional tools have better file dialogs (many of which use the Windows 7 style...the others are mostly QT based custom solutions)
Luckily I do 3D stuff mostly...But still the inconvenience is still high when using Adobe software

add the standard windows functionality into the save/save as dialog, including the favorites, and make photoshop remember the last folder saved to, and last file format saved to.

Why can't Adobe respond to this?

Is this how Adobe wants to be seen to explain things to customers?

Thanks Timothy for posting this "best one we got" solution/workaround. I ́m glad I ́m not alone here. Adobe should really take this serious and do something about it. I bet there are more annoyed windows Vista/7 users right now than there would be XP users if they fixed this. And if they do it right they don ́t have to piss off the XP users either.

Depends on your definition of a solution. It doesn't address the primary problem, but is it a solution for Mårten's proposed problem.

So while it's a workaround for the underlying issue, Mårten just wanted to know if those locations could be changed. Thus I listed a (crummy, but what we're limited to) solution.

The fact still remains, Adobe's developers are being lazy here. You can program an application to display one save screen vs. the other depending on what OS it's installed on.

Adobe knows people will still buy their software in spite of this not being changed, so they are being slackers and doing nothing about this.

While I would understand this mentality if these were free programs (i.e. Facebook, where YOU are the product, you're not paying for it, so they don't need to conform to the requests of users), but since we're paying $400-$2700 for these I would expect more from Adobe.

This topic is starting to fill up. Please ask everyone you know to add their +1 to this topic. Let's let Adobe know we're tired of being ignored.
