I must say that full screen apps is a wonderful idea. I can start in such a way some of the apple apps (safari, imail, numbers) - I like switching between them. It will be desirable to enable this option for Ligtroom & Photoshop (both CS and Elements) to behave in similar way under new Mission Control stuff...

It looks like Lightroom is using OS X fullscreen and split view in El Capitan, but Photoshop CC still doesn't.....at least 50% is better than nothing right?

Adobe's got their own agenda for implementation, which is perfectly understandable. Disregarding a necessary change for 4 and a half years is frustrating though.

I don't understand why they'd work against the evolution of an operation system however. It just seems so stupid...

I knew this would happen and mentioned it several months ago. Keep quiet, and it'll slip right back into dormant status. It may come off as being pushy, but this feature is already AGES late and constantly pushed back. We need to keep pushing to see some actual changes.

Support for OSX Full screen mode .. Helps a lot with using gestures while switching back and forth between PS and AI , also takes over the entire screen, and also .. when daisy chaining, PS and AI would understand the different sizes of the screen, since every time we unplug the big screen, PS and AI remain in the same dimensions and all the controls are hidden, and it is such a huge waste of time and effort to try to speculate which document is open and if it should be saved before we quit and re-start hopefully PS or AI would not remember it's last position which sometimes does and is not fixed except with a visit back to the big screen.

Have a look at my current open AI documents after unplugging!

I wanted to ask if there are any news on this feature. Last update here was that it was being revisited. What was the result of that meeting? Will we be seeing this in the next update?

Thanks.

Hammy write, "...has it take up the whole screen, and obscures my dock..."

Window > Screen Mode > Full Screen will take up the whole screen, obscuring the dock.

@17439111:

You know, you can Hide the Dock in OS X by choosing Apple Menu > System Preferences > Dock and then checking "Automatically show and hide the Dock". Now your Dock will disappear and reappear when you bring your mouse down to it.

I love how Lightroom works, although it would be cool if it could use the feature in OS X that has it take up the whole screen, and obscures my dock, similar to how Safari can, and also some other third party OS X Apps.

I think it would give me a little bit more real estate for me to have the filmstrip permanently in view on the bottom.

To be real, I just wanted to see if the team speak was actually happening. My concern is that this topic falls far into obscurity again. If the history of this topic was better handled, then I probably wouldn't be as concerned.

But yes, I do appreciate it'll take time. Implementation itself can take as long as the team needs. Just want to know if the team spoke about it and approved/disapproved it yet.
