P: Support scalable user interface UI for high resolution monitors

I'm using a high resolution monitor(2560x1600). As a result, all the the toolbar fonts and menu fonts are small and hard to see. I do not want to lower the screen resolution as this would defeat the purpose of this monitor.. Will the new CS6 have the ability to increase font sizes to accommidate Hi-Res monitors?

Thanks

We appreciate the problem "can't be solved instantly" on earth, but certainly not around some black hole where time almost virtually stops.

Rene, you have good point on "disclaimer."

But we know that Adobe already failed to identify the problem right when CS6 was released (note when Adobe released CS6 for Windows, high resolution monitors existed in the market). From a legal perspective, therefore, failure to provide cost-free updates to fix this problem of CS6 on Windows is, at least, a negligence in duty of care, which is a legal liability and makes a good case for tort if only a customer has time and money to follow it up in a law suit.

Luckily for Adobe, we (customers of CS6 for Windows) currently live in a friendly stage of interacting with Adobe in a nice forum because we love its products, but if Adobe continues to neglect our rights and its responsibilities (by repeating irrelevant statements such as "Older versions never get new features" over and over again), then we shall proceed to a legal interacting stage, which will surely not be as friendly. I hope that does not occur.

Bridge does not support HiDPI, yet.

Good point, Rene! The "answering machines" to this question do not have the answer to it, so Adobe representatives can't simply copy/paste the answer again and again, pretty much like a machine, without contemplating the questions.

Enable the 200% UI Scaling option in Photoshop's preferences, then relaunch Photoshop.

Having same issue with PS CC 2014 & Bridge on my brand new dell M3800 laptop with 3840x2160 screen. One PITA workaround is to use the magnifier app shipped with Windows.

CS6 is offered for sale, but it not listed as a current version because it is two full versions behind the current release of Photoshop. Older versions never get new features.

Yes, you are failing to read the answers you have already received.
No, the registry hack does not work correctly.
No, Illustrator still does not work entirely correctly (nor does it have the same requirements as Photoshop).
No, it is nowhere near as simple as you are making it out to be.

AGAIN, we are continuing to work with Microsoft to address the OS issues needed to allow more flexible UI scaling on Windows.

Thank you, Chris. I guess I would offer that we are not looking to solve ALL the OS issues, just the one that makes the product impossible to use on a HiDPI monitor. So if you've already demonstrated that controls can be independently drawn... well, do I need to spell it out? (Yes, I'm being a PITA...)

I would also so bold as to suggest that Marketing be compelled to include "not for use with HiDPI monitors" on the sales page for CS6, which, as I noted elsewhere, is still being actively sold as the **current** standalone version, and reiterate for the record that this issue has been known since at least CS5, which doesn't exactly look all that great in relation to customer responsiveness.

Chris, I realize that you must have Sales, Marketing and Legal (not to mention MS) breathing down your neck on this, and I will say for the record that I don't envy your position. I assume you are aware of the registry edit hack that fixes it, right? All I can say is that I'm glad that I use a Mac at home and don't have to fight with this issue there as well.
