P: Support scalable user interface UI for high resolution monitors

I'm using a high resolution monitor(2560x1600). As a result, all the the toolbar fonts and menu fonts are small and hard to see. I do not want to lower the screen resolution as this would defeat the purpose of this monitor.. Will the new CS6 have the ability to increase font sizes to accommidate Hi-Res monitors?

Thanks

Thank you, Chris. I guess I would offer that we are not looking to solve ALL the OS issues, just the one that makes the product impossible to use on a HiDPI monitor. So if you've already demonstrated that controls can be independently drawn... well, do I need to spell it out? (Yes, I'm being a PITA...)

I would also so bold as to suggest that Marketing be compelled to include "not for use with HiDPI monitors" on the sales page for CS6, which, as I noted elsewhere, is still being actively sold as the **current** standalone version, and reiterate for the record that this issue has been known since at least CS5, which doesn't exactly look all that great in relation to customer responsiveness.

Chris, I realize that you must have Sales, Marketing and Legal (not to mention MS) breathing down your neck on this, and I will say for the record that I don't envy your position. I assume you are aware of the registry edit hack that fixes it, right? All I can say is that I'm glad that I use a Mac at home and don't have to fight with this issue there as well.

Because that still doesn't solve all the OS issues needed for an application like Photoshop. Plus Photoshop is already drawing some of it's own controls in places where the OS still does not scale correctly.

Love it. An endless series of removed comments, with vague, indefensible reasons given for the removal when in reality this thread simply points out how narcissistic Adobe (or at least this division) has become. The fact remains that Adobe is still selling this as current standalone version, yet haughtily tells you that they won't support it, nor do they ever have any intention of doing so. I wonder how long it will take for THIS comment to be removed?

You will note that Adobe is rather quiet on this point.

CS6 is still being sold on the website as a current version, and for the princely sum of a thousand dollars. Perhaps there should be a disclaimer that warns potential buyers that they are buying software that will never be upgraded or supported, judging by what happens here.

So that begs the question, why not simply have PS do the same thing, Chris? If MS is the issue, just bypass it and let the app dictate the UI size (like the OTHER Adobe apps that don't have this failing)?

Because it doesn't work perfectly, and because Illustrator doesn't use the OS controls and avoids some of the OS issues.
AGAIN, we are continuing to work with Microsoft on the issues needed to allow more flexible UI scaling on Windows.

But if OS does not allow, how is it possible that scaling works with Adobe Illustrator CC perfectly? If all Adobe products would work like Illustrator CC concerning scaling, it would be a perfect world, a perfect Adobe world.

I purchased Adobe Photoshop CS6 Windows full edition on 10th Feb 2015 and stumbled into this HiDPI resolution problem. Tech Software, the Adobe distributor refuses to refund my money and Adobe Customer Care does not want to know about the problem and will not support a refund of my money. Very poor form and says something about how they treat their customers. The product is faulty and the manufacturer is liable and the product is not fit for purpose.

Again, we are continuing to work with Microsoft on the issues needed to allow more flexible UI scaling on Windows. Applications can only implement what the OS allows, and when parts of the OS don't work - the application cannot use those parts of the OS.
