P: Support scalable user interface UI for high resolution monitors

I'm using a high resolution monitor(2560x1600). As a result, all the the toolbar fonts and menu fonts are small and hard to see. I do not want to lower the screen resolution as this would defeat the purpose of this monitor.. Will the new CS6 have the ability to increase font sizes to accommidate Hi-Res monitors?

Thanks

Because that still doesn't solve all the OS issues needed for an application like Photoshop. Plus Photoshop is already drawing some of it's own controls in places where the OS still does not scale correctly.

Love it. An endless series of removed comments, with vague, indefensible reasons given for the removal when in reality this thread simply points out how narcissistic Adobe (or at least this division) has become. The fact remains that Adobe is still selling this as current standalone version, yet haughtily tells you that they won't support it, nor do they ever have any intention of doing so. I wonder how long it will take for THIS comment to be removed?

You will note that Adobe is rather quiet on this point.

CS6 is still being sold on the website as a current version, and for the princely sum of a thousand dollars. Perhaps there should be a disclaimer that warns potential buyers that they are buying software that will never be upgraded or supported, judging by what happens here.

So that begs the question, why not simply have PS do the same thing, Chris? If MS is the issue, just bypass it and let the app dictate the UI size (like the OTHER Adobe apps that don't have this failing)?

Because it doesn't work perfectly, and because Illustrator doesn't use the OS controls and avoids some of the OS issues.
AGAIN, we are continuing to work with Microsoft on the issues needed to allow more flexible UI scaling on Windows.

But if OS does not allow, how is it possible that scaling works with Adobe Illustrator CC perfectly? If all Adobe products would work like Illustrator CC concerning scaling, it would be a perfect world, a perfect Adobe world.

I purchased Adobe Photoshop CS6 Windows full edition on 10th Feb 2015 and stumbled into this HiDPI resolution problem. Tech Software, the Adobe distributor refuses to refund my money and Adobe Customer Care does not want to know about the problem and will not support a refund of my money. Very poor form and says something about how they treat their customers. The product is faulty and the manufacturer is liable and the product is not fit for purpose.

Again, we are continuing to work with Microsoft on the issues needed to allow more flexible UI scaling on Windows. Applications can only implement what the OS allows, and when parts of the OS don't work - the application cannot use those parts of the OS.

Just a brief comment on the current discussion related to user interface: This seems to be managed in a rather sloppy way by most players in the sw development companies, and the up-take of high resolution monitors together with the rapid decrease in price seems to have come earlier than expected. Related to Ph, Adobe has done a work around solution that works on Ph and a few more Apps. But many are to be frank close to unusable to this date. I can accept the statement that MS is lagging behind, but still, UI text and graphics should be possible to fix anyhow. And as MS has announced version 10 late this year, it is likely to expect that any solution will arrive at the earliest by win 10, meaning everyone has to upgrade to benefit with something which should have been fixed a few years back, to say the least. In other business sectors, especially safety related areas, people don't get home until a situation is cleared. This is apparently not the case in sw business industry. But years... To be frank, sloppy management. Finally, even if the situation was evident during CS6 period, I can somehow accept the fact that fixes are related to the current CC product line. CS6 is rather dated now and I don't know how or if this still is on sale, but in my organization we still get that (but I bought the CC specifically for me) I think our IT people has a bulk of CS6 and they think that is good enough...
