P: Support scalable user interface UI for high resolution monitors

I'm using a high resolution monitor(2560x1600). As a result, all the the toolbar fonts and menu fonts are small and hard to see. I do not want to lower the screen resolution as this would defeat the purpose of this monitor.. Will the new CS6 have the ability to increase font sizes to accommidate Hi-Res monitors?

Thanks

Below are the steps to set the environment variable.
1. Right click on "my computer" icon
2. Click properties,
3. Select Advanced System Settings or Advanced Tab (Based on your OS)
4. Click on the "Environment Variables..." button.
5. Click New... button on System Variables section, You can also set this in User Variables section, if you would like to keep the change limited to current logged in user.
6. In the "New system variable" dialog, enter UI_SCALE_FACTOR in variable name field
7. Enter 1 in the Variable value field
8. Click OK

Relaunch AI.

Found here: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1500162 Can't take credit, but it works.

Patrik, Thank you for the suggestion on the 200%. I made all the difference in the world. Now Photoshop CC 2014 is usable on my high res screen (3200x1800).

I do really hope that the planned final changes for HDPI menu in Photoshop will also work for Win 7 and not only for dumb (sorry) Win 8!

Thanks. I also found a side by side comparison in this Cnet article, if anyone is interested. I think a fixed 200% is only a temporary solution as monitors get higher and higher res, but it is better than nothing.

Patrik, would you be able to post a screenshot of what the 200% looks like, and also what screen resolution you're using it on? I'm interested in seeing if it's worth updating. Thanks!

I have just updated Photoshop CC 2014. There are some new functions called: Experimental Functions (LOL).
Within these experimental functions there is one for 200% HDPI scaling. I think it ́s a good start into the right direction.
I hope that it is what it says: experimental function and that you guys from Adobe work for a perfect solution in future, maybe even near future.
The con about this funtion is that it only works for 200% and the font size of the menu also gets very big.
But so far so good. Keep on working and some day it will be all fine 🙂
