P: Support scalable user interface UI for high resolution monitors

I'm using a high resolution monitor(2560x1600). As a result, all the the toolbar fonts and menu fonts are small and hard to see. I do not want to lower the screen resolution as this would defeat the purpose of this monitor.. Will the new CS6 have the ability to increase font sizes to accommidate Hi-Res monitors?

Thanks

I have been using Photoshop since 1988 and on top of all the other versions I also own the full Master Suite of CS6 that costs $2500, twice the price of a laptop. Also my laptop is brand new and is returnable while photoshop only has a 30 day or 30 foot policy. My desktop has 32gigs of memory and is used to create 2 gigapixel panoramas. The laptop is more of a portable editing platform rather than a production one so multiple monitors are not an option for the laptop.

I am going to wait to buy another Notebook PC or Macbook until after this announcement.

Nick, I posted some screenshots below of the Display control panel and how it modifies the current Photoshop. The UI does get a little bigger on Windows 8.1.

Here's a few screenshots of the settings in Windows 8.1 for scaling interface elements. This is NOT the new version of Photoshop that enables support for High-DPI displays. The slider in the Display control panel does seem to help somewhat.

Hi Gina ... It's still the best product for my needs. Premiere CS6 is awesome, Audition, After Effects, Photoshop ... they are all great products. Of course I wish that Adobe would make the interface scalable, but I'll continue using this CS6 suite for a few more years.
BTW I use multiple monitors anyway, it is so much easier than trying to do everything on one monitor ... I'd use 8 monitors if I could 🙂

Steve, after spending all that money, would you settle for that option? Really?

This is a problem with the entire CS6 suite. I have the CS6 Production Premium suite, which is much more expensive and includes photoshop.

Although not ideal... you can use a low resolution, large pixel second monitor for all the tool panels

Nick: it doesn't make sense to me to return an advanced laptop just because a piece of software isn't keeping up with the rapid pace of technology. It may be painful, but switching to software that does work on modern laptops may be a more viable alternative IMHO.

If it's not too late you may want to consider returning Photoshop for a refund and look elsewhere for a product that does work on high resolution displays.
