P: Support scalable user interface UI for high resolution monitors

I'm using a high resolution monitor(2560x1600). As a result, all the the toolbar fonts and menu fonts are small and hard to see. I do not want to lower the screen resolution as this would defeat the purpose of this monitor.. Will the new CS6 have the ability to increase font sizes to accommidate Hi-Res monitors?

Thanks

There's your answer, folks. They're deliberately making PS6 unusable to force everyone to their expensive subscription cloud product.

It's just like microsoft: the corporate psychosis that causes the hallucination, "we'll make more money if we make the customers hate us than if we sell them what they want."

They will reap the harvest they have sown. I GUARANTEE that I'm never paying $20-$30 a month for photoshop when I just bought it for $300.

Good luck getting any kind of assurance other than Adobe is aware of and is working on the problem, and that the new version of Photoshop will work just fine on the MS Surface Pro 3 (which just became available for preorder, so it's not even available yet).

If you read this thread (going back 3 years now) you will see the response from Adobe whenever some loyal customer tries to get any kind of concrete information to help make software and hardware buying decisions.

Not to mention all the comments that have been redacted. The issue is much much larger than the remaining comments would suggest.

I am returning a Notebook because 1)its too slow for Photoshop & Lightroom 2) Hi res display is useless with Photoshop.

I can buy an Apple MacBook Pro (don't really want to) or buy a faster Notebook with Hi Res with the expectation that Adobe is about to fix this problem. Can anyone on the Adobe team reassure me this problem will be resolved soon?

I spent an hour with Adobe today and after all the above discussions all I got out of it was that they are aware of this problem. It seems to me very odd that Corel has no problems, ie, Painter. Also, MS Word and all the Office programs seems fine. Only Adobe, who of all these companies, should have had this addressed long ago.

Adobe is forcing me to work with HP to return my new Spectra Laptop with 2500dpi that is a joke to try and use with photoshop. I Gave up all hope of Adobe doing the right thing. Turns out this forum has been NO HELP in three years with dealing with this issue providing denials, misinformation, and in the end, NO SOLUTION. Way to go Adobe!

This works in theory but not in practice. Photoshop CS6 overrides any system settings and does as it pleases. IE It does NOT work.

While you wait for the version of Photoshop CC 2014 to be released with the larger buttons, you can go to the Control Panel (Windows key + X, P) then open the "Display" control panel and there's a slider that says "Change the size of all items". That should increase the size of Photoshop's interface, but it will make it look all pixelated. Still that should be a little easier to use.

Hi Gina, These features were developed for the current version (CC). These features won't be available in prior versions of Photoshop.

This is not going to make the users of CS5 and CS6 any happier. We have been asking for years to make the interface bigger for these versions, do you plan to make a fix for these versions?
