P: Support scalable user interface UI for high resolution monitors

I'm using a high resolution monitor(2560x1600). As a result, all the the toolbar fonts and menu fonts are small and hard to see. I do not want to lower the screen resolution as this would defeat the purpose of this monitor.. Will the new CS6 have the ability to increase font sizes to accommidate Hi-Res monitors?

Thanks

Hi Barry, I have posted above, along with a demo video, that 2X UI support and support for pen and gestures using the latest APIs available in Win 8 is on it's way. A lot of architectural work went into these changes on both the Adobe side and Microsoft side.

Welcome to the club, John!

Yeah, there is no fix and this has been a problem for years. Adobe is about to tell you it is Microsoft's fault although basically all other software has managed to fix it.. You will either need to get rid of your computer or use different software.

Dont expect any happy answers from Adobe. They will likely delete my message as usual so I hope you get this before they do.

There is a TERRIBLE problems with the interface in PS CC. The toolbox and menu items are much to small unless perhaps for teenagers. Unfortunately, us old people have the money for our CC subscriptions and this is worthless to me. Corel and Windows programs work fine on my new HP laptop so it is not my computer, either. This is truly a serious issue that needs addressing now. Here is a screen shot:

Hi Adam, you are astute. Yes, we are taking advantage of the modern API for pen pressure available in Win 8. (Fall back for systems without access to the new API will fall back to WinTab support). A lot of architectural work went into these changes on both the Adobe side and Microsoft side.

It was so great to see Photoshop with High-DPI support at the Surface Pro 3 launch yesterday! And it's great to see better touch support being added too. Looks like it could use some performance improvements still, but KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. Real Photoshop on a Surface Pro with a pressure-sensitive stylus is so much better than the iPad solutions. Will Photoshop CC 2014 support both pressure-sensitive driver API's (instead of just WinTab)? The Surface Pro 3 doesn't have WinTab drivers, so I imagine yes. I'm sure the new version will be even more awesome on the Wacom Cintiq Companion.

I agree, I still want a fix for CS6 for Windows 7, I have not been able to use the software on my 17" 1920x1080.

And 30 days return? This problem has been going on for 3 years.

Maybe not but we expect it to be usable on modern hardware. We understand new features are not included but it is unconscionable to not fix fatal bugs that you have been stringing us along for 3 long years with the promise of fixing it.

Hi Nick, We've never advertised scalable/2x UI as a feature on Windows. Here is our return policy: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/po...

How do we get a full refund for our CS6 Master Suite considering it does not work and will never work as advertised?
