P: Support scalable user interface UI for high resolution monitors

I'm using a high resolution monitor(2560x1600). As a result, all the the toolbar fonts and menu fonts are small and hard to see. I do not want to lower the screen resolution as this would defeat the purpose of this monitor.. Will the new CS6 have the ability to increase font sizes to accommidate Hi-Res monitors?

Thanks

There is no solution right now. Microsoft's UI scaling APIs have serious problems, we are working with Microsoft to resolve those problems. When we have news to share, we'll let you know.

As we have already said: We are continuing to work with Microsoft to resolve the problems in the Microsoft UI scaling APIs. When we have more news that we can share with you, we will let you know.

The real problem is I went in and changed the system resolution to 1600x1200 so I could use it and Photoshop overrides the system resolution and will only displays in native resolution, so there is no workaround.

I asked Chris for metrics, a project plan, and commitment to solve this and he deleted my comment as it was "not relevant".

A year ago Jeffrey Tanberry (Adobe employee) stated:
"The engineering team is aware of the feature request to support HiDPI for Windows. Supporting HiDPI is a priority for our team. We'll update the topic when we have more details to share."

It is more than "a feature request" IMHO. A year has gone by now. What progress has been made. When should we expect a resolution to the problem. Surely some details can be shared by now.

I've been trying to get an answer to this very question as well. Hopefully you have more success than I.

Many of my comments have been deleted and yours may be as well. I signed up for e-mail notification of posts to this thread so at least I usually see the comments before they are deleted. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a forum for expressing our frustration with this issue except in Adobe controlled forums.

People looking to work with high resolution monitors need to know about this. After reading these comments, Im beginning to believe Adobe is not addressing this issue. Professionals seeking to use Photoshop with a high resolution monitor need to know they should probably look elsewhere. I want to find a way to get the word out. It is infuriating that their response is to remove my post. I assume this one will not be up long. If that is the case, Im going to start by contacting Scott Kelby and his organization to make sure they communicate that Photoshop is basically useless with high resolution monitors running Windows OS...

Chris, You asked us to read this thread. So a serious on-topic question: What did Adobe do 3 years ago when this critical issue was reported by RONALD ACEVEDO in the header to this thread?
