P: Support scalable user interface UI for high resolution monitors

I'm using a high resolution monitor(2560x1600). As a result, all the the toolbar fonts and menu fonts are small and hard to see. I do not want to lower the screen resolution as this would defeat the purpose of this monitor.. Will the new CS6 have the ability to increase font sizes to accommidate Hi-Res monitors?

Thanks

On my 30" Monitor, CS4 Menus and Icons were not readable unless resolution was reduced. Since then I have moved on to less expensive software that can handle screen sizes and resolutions used by professionals. Now CS5 has arrived carrying the same baggage. Guess my decision not to upgrade (at an insane cost) was a prophetic one. What is Adobe's plan to fix the problem and reduce software cost as well? Is suspect that the answer will be redaction yet again!

Photoshop has never had UI any more scalable than what is in CS5. We've been adding features to scale the UI, not taking them away.

The menus and palettes in CS5 are way too small. This is going to be an insurmountable obstacle for some users, and a definite annoyance for everyone else. It would be very helpful if the menus and palettes could be re-sized. I'm seriously considering returning my purchase and going back to my old version simply for the convenience and ease of having decent-sized tools. This is a very fundamental problem in an otherwise fantastic program and needs to be addressed.

My iMac monitor is set to 1680 x 1050, and I find the the interface items difficult to see, to the point of exasperation. I hate to think what will happen when I move to a bigger screen.

The buttons in the toolbars and panels are too small. The UI text is too small everywhere except the main menu bar. I changed the UI text size to "Large" but the result is not really large, and in any case that setting affects only a few items in the UI text. To make matters worse, a lot of the text is non-bold, and it is generally displayed against a shade a gray — a cardinal sin for readability. All of these presentation qualities need to be under user control.

In addition, the ability to colorize individual items in the UI ought to be expanded. Every menu command and button should have a color choice, and the range of colors should be broad.

On the web, I have seen other complaints about the readability of the Photoshop UI, but so far Adobe has not acted on these complaints. I'm hoping we don't have to wait much longer for this problem to be solved.

This applies to PSE 8 as well. I just purchased it for my new computer and am so disappointed because I can hardly read all the UI printing. My monitor's screen resolution is 1920 x 1080. I have read many, many complaints about this. With all the newer monitors having higher resolutions it is obvious that their should be UI adjustments within the program for font size and also colors. The color contrast is poor as well. The printing is so tiny in some letters that there is a black "glob" in some of the letter spaces. This is not what I expected from Adobe. I'll be going back to Corel.

Good idea. We can't comment on specifics with regards to future versions of Photoshop.
