P: Support scalable user interface UI for high resolution monitors

I'm using a high resolution monitor(2560x1600). As a result, all the the toolbar fonts and menu fonts are small and hard to see. I do not want to lower the screen resolution as this would defeat the purpose of this monitor.. Will the new CS6 have the ability to increase font sizes to accommidate Hi-Res monitors?

Thanks

The User Interface (Tool bar, Application Bar, Etc) is too small and should be able to be enlarged easily by simply dragging the edge of the box, or some other way in the preferences. This is for CS5, I was using CS1 and there was no problem

The "let them eat cake" attitude remains. We are not telling you how to fix the problem, that is the job of the software developer, Adobe. We are simply stating that the menus are unreadable and they need to be made larger. If Adobe wants to maintain market share, they need to fix this problem. It is one fix for the entire product line, unless of course, OOP technology is not being used here.

To answer you question about how many different threads, I've merged one other request into this one.

I merge the topics into one authoritative topic to track all the votes/comments on specific issues. That way all the "me toos" get collected better than a bunch of random threads.

We do provide updates/dot releases/patches for our products. Photoshop is on version 12.0.4 (meaning 4 updates to address the most critical issues) Camera Raw has had 6 updates for new camera support and bug fixes, and Elements has 3 updates since it's release (2 on win 3 on mac).

As Chris said on the other thread, Photoshop has never had a feature to change the scale of the UI in the way that's being suggested on this thread. It's not simply a bug fix. It's a large scale change/feature.

Thanks.
How many separate threads are here and elsewhere, that address this product deficiency?
Why are there no intra-version PTF's offered by Adobe for their products?

Sure it does. It's right here: http://feedback.photoshop.com/photosh...

I don't know how Adobe can deny that this is a problem; especially for newer monitors with higher resolution. There are many, many comments on the topic:
"Photoshop and Elements: A way to change the UI colors" that is on this forum. Many users are complaining about the dark UI panels with the grey or black tiny fonts. It is almost unreadable. In PSE, when I move my mouse over a tool or something in the R. side panel I have to get my face about a foot away from the monitor to read it. I have no problem reading any other software on my computer, including 2 other photo editing programs. So this is not only a problem for the CS5 but also PSE. I have tried adjusting the font size on my computer but it doesn't do a thing for PSE. The change needs to come from within the Photoshop program. Users are begging for a change. Is anyone at Adobe listening????
I suggest customers voice their opinions on Amazon.com about this product. If Adobe won't listen to consumers, they will listen to profit margins.

Nice segue out of a bug fix. It should be a free software patch, not an upgrade with a cost attached. Flaw corrections are not upgrades.

What "redaction" are you talking about?
