Photoshop: Smart Objects retain Scaling Percentage in Options Bar?

This is one i'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to see...
Smart Objects are great. The problem is that if i do a bunch of scaling, i'd like to know if i am scaling past 100% of the original size of the image that i made a smart object from. I have no way of knowing that.
My wish is this:
If you make a layer into a Smart Object,
and scale it,
the scaling percentage remains 'sticky' in the transform tool options bar.
So if i scale it down to 86%, the next time i hit the transform tool, the scaling percentage starts at 86%. Right now, if i scale it down to 86%, and hit transform again, it is back at 100%.

Hmm.. When I transform a smart object it retains its percentage setting when I use the transform tool again

The Smart Object does not have any masks associated with it.

You can check the original size if you unlink the smart object from its mask.
I would like photoshop to always base the scaling percentage from the SO itself and not the mask.
