Ability for Disable Program Monitor Zoom Settings

Please add the following settings
1. Ability to disable zoom on the program window or change mouse scroll wheel behavior. While scrubbing on the timeline with the mouse wheel it's prone to accidentally moving the cursor over the video and unintentionally zooming causing a frustrating experience.

2. Setting to disable the nodes on audio transitions in the sequence timeline. They make it more difficult to make edits in the timeline.

This forum is one of several ways Adobe gathers metrics. Most users don't understand the size and scope of full "Adobe" ... we CC users are only one part of that massive company's efforts.

The other two (that I know of) are of course the massive Acrobat/PDF/signed-documents section, which is huge, and the um ... section that does user engagement and metric qualifications computation stuff for other mega corporations.

So Adobe is one of the actual leaders worldwide among those designing corporate user-engagement studies, practices, and modifications. It's a fascinating company in all.

And for the CC users, they routinely do a wide variety of things to sort out what data they get back via their CC app which apparently can give some feedback to them of the various app tools used (but no user data ever) ... surveying individual users and their many corporate enterprise accounts ... and gathering information from various social media forums/groups/whatnot.

Personally, I've been through in-person interviews at NAB of over an hour, both individually and as part of a small group. I've been asked to do zoom type online surveys with a moderator and a team member of one or more apps asking tons of questions. And I know others who've been through this also.

Plus of course, they keep close contact with the many people that teach working in the CC apps around the world. As someone who also does that, I've had the folks that monitor that contact me. I know a number of other noted "teachers", and they all have had many questions asked of them.

Past that, remember ... any of us users is one user. That's all. There are several million daily users of Premiere Pr alone, and I'm quite serious that everyone that edits does things differently than everyone else. Which is to me the most fascinating part of attending NAB and other such events every year.

The one absolute guarantee is that any suggestion one user can make, several others will not want at freaking all. We are that different. So it's always a choice between competing thoughts and feelings and workflows.

Personally, I really REALLY REALLY wish we could lock the program monitor to scrolling the timeline only. But I know people who think the ability to zoom the size of the image in the program monitor the most useful modification to the app in ages. Yeah ... we disagree, but then ... I can't say they're wrong, just that the same behavior they love annoys the Hades out of me.

And we laugh at each other's ... foibles.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...

@Kevin-Monahan

How do you define popular feature requests? There's an entire forum here of people complaining about this new feature / requesting it is change...

Hello @albiong22718917,

I am in support, not the product team, so I can only advocate for popular feature requests. I can't change the software. Sorry for the frustration.

Thanks,
Kevin

I support everyone in this thread! Premiere above version 24.3 is broken and unusable for me... For many, you've broken one of the reasons not to switch to your competitors... Please respond to at least something on the topic and return it to how it was!!!

OK, I've refrained from posting on this thread because I already have and I'm hoping Adobe is listening, but...

Hello, McFly! Do something about this! I have spent the whole day constantly resetting the program window to "fit".  I mean, I love the option to zoom when I need to, but the operative word here is "option". Please fix this, Adobe.

Please, Adobe... have some mercy.

I have yet to see a single argument or reason why this is taking so long.

Please. We love you Adobe.

It's the single most irritating thing. I'm always fast editing for news bits, on site promos and quick turn around work ofr social and corporate. This has iritated me and slowed my work flow down endlessly, Adobe need to realsie, a lot of people are moving over to Davinci and this is the kind of thing that will tip it. Final Cut hung itself in 2010, I hope Premiere isn't about to do the same.
