Feature Requests

Hello,Right now we need to connect our movie computer every 90 days to the internet to activate the subscription again. Would it be possible to introduce other options so that this can also be done offline? I would like this better for security reasons, like when we are working for example with footage from clients. Thanks and best greetings,J. E. 

It would be great to have the ability to lock Markers on the timeline and the option to allow markers to move forward/backward with the Track Selection Forward/backward Tool.

I'd like it if I could rate stretch a clip AND have it push the next clip forward in the timeline, maybe with command or option?

Gostaria de expor a idéia de uma função de me ajudaria muito.Atualmente, quando você cria um projeto e deseja abri-lo em outra máquina, basta ir na função "Gerente de Projetos" e salvar tudo.Acontece que atualmente eu editei um curso no modo produção. Nessa produção há 5 módulos (cada um numa pasta), dentro de cada pasta há 12 projetos (cada projeto corresponde a uma videoaula).Portanto, minha idéia seria a criação de um "Gerente de produção", já que atualmente pra salvar minha produção eu tenho que entrar de projeto em projeto e salvar um por um (e são mais de 50 projetos).Entrei em contato com o suporte e realmente essa função não existe. 

I would love for premiere to be like lightroom in the sense that when scrolling through videos, we can rate them 1 through 5, or flag them good or bad for later use. Than for assembling, we can select to only show the videos you've liked/ rated well, as well as delete the ones you didn't like from the project. 

Wish there was a button that muted the source panel when scrubbng through videos, and it does this for all files you click through. Yes there is a setting in preferences, but it would be so much nicer if there was just a button right there underneath the panel, to toggle mute/ unmute. 

I am auditioning about 10 music tracks for my edit at the moment, and soloing each one as I want to listen to it. It's not immediately obvious which tracks are muted/soloed and which are not, other than by looking at the M and S indicators. It'd be nice if the muted tracks (whether muted because I've set them to Mute or if I've set other track(s) to Solo) appeared dimmer than the 'live' tracks.The same could also be applied to invisible video tracks. 

Adobe, please add keframes to the essential graphics panel or at least the text effect controls panel.We need to animate shadow\background\stroke\fill and what is more important - tracking and other text properties. This is silly to go into After Effects for such simple things available in other video editing software. We used to have it in the Legacy titles which was removed long ago and since then we've had nothing.  

Dear Adobe Premiere Pro Dev Team, Would you please make it easier for Premiere users to export Multiple clips from any project using few clicks without going thru the "Adobe Media Encoder" App?I mean if there is multiple cuts in a sequance and we want to export each cut as a separate file using a single operation. Thank you in advance 

I wish PP had a modifier to allow me not just to select one track with the track select forward tool, but to then add other tracks - but not all of them, as with the unmodified behaviour. I want to move some tracks of dialogue, and associated synced sound effects, but I don't want to move the video or the audio bed underneath... I have to lock tracks and then unlock them. That's not a properly working feature, that's a workaround.  (I used to be able to do this in FCP 7!)

Syncing preferences to the cloud doesn't seem to work consistently.Every now and again, Premiere will "forget" one (or all) of my preferences, and reload the defaults. Most commonly, the "Play audio while scrubbing" checkbox gets unchecked, but often it'll be things that are less convenient to fix (or multiple things at the same time)...and regardless of how easy it is to fix, it shouldn't be necessary. If they can't avoid overwriting my existing preferences for whatever reason, could they not implement a preferences import/export function? Photoshop similarly "forgets" my custom keyboard shortcuts regularly, but at least there's an easy way to manually import/export them, so I don't need to individually change each one again every time it happens.  

Im not sure other workflows, but I typically shoot a single video with multiple takes, no cutting.  It would be a great feature to automatically display the markers to allow me to scan through quickly to determine the best take, instead of scrubbing.  Even better to also choose Input / Output points from the beginning of the marker. Bonus Feature:  Use Ai to analyze the dialog and any dialog with a fluster, lots of filler words; give a different highlight to not have a priority.

Liebes Comunity,ich möchte euch eine provisorische Lösung darstellen, wenn ihr die Video-Datei in Wraptor DCP umwandeln wollt und M1 oder M2 Apple Chip verwendet. Diese Möglichkeit kennt ihr wahrscheinlich schon, aber es ist gut, sie nochmals zu posten. Es ist so, dass wir mit M1 und M2 Chips von Apple keine Möglichkeit zum Export von Wraptor DCP oder auch P2 haben. Wo genau das Problem liegt und wann wir die Lösung haben, konnte mir niemnad sagen. Also, wenn du eine neue Premiere Datei hast (ab Vers. 24.0) müsstest du sie zuerst downgraden, um sie mit den älteren Versionen zu nutzen, wo noch Wraptor DCP dabei war und das ist unter der Version 24.0 (ich habe jetzt 23.6). Ein Downrade ist mit Premiere Pro nicht möglich. Die Datei lässt sich nicht in älteren Versionen öffnen.Vorgang:1.Zuerst dupliziere deine Arbeitsdatei und behalte eine in der Version ab 24.0. zur Sicherheit! Es ist sehr wichtig! 2.Nehme eine Arbeitsdatei und öffne sie mit einem Editor, ich habe BBedit verwend

When you change label on clip, rather than have random names that you have to know the colour of, why don't you just show the colour for me to select. 

I can't express how much I need this, 5 years on and I still make daily mistakes on which color belongs to which name  

Hello Adobe !I think mask tracking should process in the background progress panel !This would be a great update regarding workflow, so useres can continue editing while mask tracking or go for tracking multiple masks at the same time ! Mask tracking usually consumes a little percentage of CPU performance with almost no GPU contripution (which is a point to be optimized too), so tracking multiple masks at the same time will perform easily anyway.Thanks.

Feature request: Give third party CEP and UXP extensions the ability to use keyboard shortcuts

If I have a dynamically linked AE comp in PPro, when I rename the comp in AE, the comp name in PPro remains the same. It would be lovely if there was a way to update the name in PPro to match that in AE. PPro does already know the name of the comp - if I do a right-click > Properties, the actual name of the comp is listed in its properties. I can then copy the actual name, and paste it to rename it, but it'd be nice if this was automated - maybe something like "Update Composition Name" could appear under the Modify... menu.

Has there been any discussion regarding different file export options for captioning? I'd like to have .cap option if possible, or another file type that allows placement data to be recorded in the exported file.

Currently, when adding a frame hold segment a 2 second segment is added that can be shortened or lengthened in the timeline, but it does not change in the effect controls panel, meaning you can't add keyframes after the clip "ends" even though it is still going on the timeline. The lengh should match what is in the timeline so keyframes can work properly.

I am an older video editor, I started in broadcasting and video editing in 2006. Never have I ever hated this piece of software like this before. I tried to learn other editing software but it is really hard at my age. Why can't you just make sure that the updates work? We are paying hard working money for this tool to work. I wish there were a keyboard shortcut when you are done editing a caption box. It ruins my workflow by moving my hand over to the mouse to click outside the captions box to push the Space Bar for further playback..Ex. cmd/control + Enter would save the caption box and make further playback with Space Bar possible.

Not just via the Markers drop-down or the source panel, but by clicking or right-clicking on the marker, on the clip, in the timeline. It would save a couple of clicks!

Inside Photoshop there is the option in Edit>Preferences>History Log to record a log of everything the user does. It would be incredibly helpful to be able to record a log of everything the user does inside Premiere Pro too. The History and Events tab do not record enough actions and also enough detail with regards to the events panel. This would be an incredibly useful exportable feature to industries where its important to be able to recreate exactly the same output for evidence purposes.
