I really like the transcription feature in Premiere Pro. However, I see myself specifying other languages often and have to scroll way down to get to the ones I have downloaded.I would like to see the behaviour of the language pack drop down adjusted to show the already downloaded langauges at the top (kind of like a favorites list). This would make sense in my book since it's most likely the user wants to transcribe something in a langauge they have previously already used.Thank you 🌸.Chris
I think it would be great to have the simple implementation of time indication when you click and drag in the timeline and the white rectangle appears. This would be a simple, quick, easily accessable feature / tool that could be used to quickly check the duration of a particular section (as dragged accross the timeline). Which is something I need to do more and more in todays social media generation where ads and other quick cutdowns need to be very specific short durations (45sec, 30sec, 5 sec etc). Looking up at the inscribed timing on the timeline is not enough to guage how long a particular chunk of somoenes audio is when it's all cut up. In my mind when you click and drag down the timeline, next to the cursor you would see a selection duration indicator "xx frames, 4:02sec" or simliar.
Let's add this to the complaint list.I work at a major national broadcast network, putting together documentaries and half-hours for their D2 channels. As such, I'm always getting Premiere projects (thank jah they standardized on the best!), from our stations. And one of the most egregious instances of Workspace misuse is; when I open one of these projects...it opens using the Workspace that the originating editor created and uses. Now, it's been sort of educational, seeing all the organizational schemes, both good and bad, that other cutters use.But I ask you, Adobe...WHY on jah's green earth would I want to see someone else's Workspace? Please make workspaces User Dependent, not Project DependentJust like Avid. Is that too much to ask? Mod note: Branched and move from bugs to ideas. Title and post was modified for content.
I'm a 10 year Premiere Pro veteran and I still don't know how to have a consistent bin column display setup that loads every time I open Premiere. Having it somehow tied to the workspace when it was saved makes you have to reload your bin settings constantly. If you use any of the standard workspaces you are always having to re-load in your bin settings making this a two-step process. I can never remeber if the bin view is saved in the workspace or in the metadata display menu or if its saved in the "Save View Preset" options. There are too many options to supposedly accomplish the same thing. The current setup is: Workspace setting | Bin View Preset | Metadata display presets. Each one of these overwrites the other in some way. I think the metadata display and bin view options make some sense but could probably be consolidated in some way to make that one step instead of two (add remove columns and also set the order of their appearance in the project panel in one
Please add Zoom ins and outs with the Mouse Wheel and Allow to use the Hand tool with the space bar to move through the video. Just like in After Effects.
It would be amazing to have like a filter in the sequence to show for instane only clips being labeled as a certain color, or clips that are unabled or enabled, etc.
Can Growing File support be implemented for ProRes AVF files. It seems to be working in AVID, FCP and RESOLVE, but the files do not dynamically grow in Premiere, they only update once the ingest is finished and the file closed. We are using ToolsOnAir Just:in to create our growing files.Currently using AVCi100 MXF, but experiencing a lot of Premiere crashes across Windows and Apple platforms, especially when hovering around the end of the clip as it refreshes.thanks
"allow me to specify both size and angle transparency for strokes (in the Essential Graphics panel as you did with Legacy Title)." Mod note: Changed the title and moved to the Ideas forum.
Title pretty much says it all. I'm not going to be one of the countless people who complain about it either, what can be said has already been said. I'm just wondering if Adobe is planning on implementing hardware encoding for Main10 HDR Metadata included rendering and if it's being worked on is there an ETA for this? I'm using a 3090 24GB and would love to make use of it.
The current version 23.2 does not allow you to change the order of multiple strokes and multiple shadows, which means that If you want to change the order of one of them, you have to remove all the order below.
If you want to view just four angles of your multicam cut rather than 9, 16 etc you have to make this change via 'Edit Cameras' for every edit in your timeline as it only affects the first clip you have selected and not your multi-selection. There is no global option to affect all instances of the group. This is very painful for a 90 minute concert with thousands of cuts. Also you should be able to select, say, all the close up shots and view them against your cut to make sure you have the best moments but you'd have to set this up for each edit too at present.
When cutting multicam it is super useful to colour your source clips so you can see immediately in your timeline if you are cutting to a cheated shot / different performance night / slomo camera etc. At present only the colour of the group is shown rather than the original source clip unless you collapse the group. Please enable the option to show original source clip labels when editing with multigroups.
With the introduction of Video Super Resolution on the 30 and 40 series RTX cards, is there scope to add this once the Nvidia Studio drivers have been updated to support it? I'm thinking it could be a cool way to easily upscale lower resolution video in projects.
necesitamos una linea de tiempo en compases y acceso a las herramientas basicas con clic derecho
REQUEST: If a keyframe is selected, edit its properties instead of creating a new one at the playhead. Yes, the arrow buttons jump the playhead to specific keyframes but this workaround adds unnecessary extra clicks and doesn't work when 'Selection Follows Playhead' is active (which I like). Plus, editing something that's selected is a fundamental workflow - right? Why break it? Please set me straight if I'm missing something basic, it's a common complaint but I haven't seen an answer sorry. Cheers, Ben
Please update your standard "Feature Summary" headers to include the version numbers they refer to rather than just the month of release. Conversely (or additionally), include the month of release on the "About Adobe Premiere Pro" screen in the application. I'm currently sifting through previous "Feature Summaries" in order to do due dilligence before posting a bug report and some of them give version numbers and some don't making it very difficult for me to determine which one refers to my 22.6.4 (Build 2).
In avid you can easily assign each track to a specific channel. In premiere you have to assign each track to a pair of channels then pan that ENTIRE TRACK to select which of the two channels it goes to. It seems like an extremely dumb and messy way of selecting a channel for a track. We also need to be able to change those channels from mono to stereo. This is all pretty catastrophic when you have strange TV broadcast specs that ask for multiple full stereo mix channels as well as channels for M+E and M+E plus interviews and M but no E etc all in the same export. As well as (or in place of) this feature please allow us to assign submixes to channels, send the right tracks to the submix and then assign the submix to a channel and you bypass the whole operation of assigning every track to a channel.
How do you create a page peel default or preset with a specific direction. eg. i want my page to peel Southeast to Northwest. After applying the default (easy & fast) I then have to go to each individual transition and select the direction of the peel (very time consuming). Thanks in advance. Ben [Moderator note: appears to be useful suggestion. Moved to Ideas section of this forum.]
Is there a way to use auto frame if there are two people in a shot? I edit talks shows into vertical social media clips, and I'm constantly having to adjust my auto frame back and forth depending on who's talking. Can auto frame detect who is talking in the two-shot and focus on that person? Is there a work around if not?
Would anybody else want to be able to key in the value for the Time Remapping instead of having to drag the slider to make the edit? It allows for better accuracy which is critical for making speed ramps smooth. I understand there seems to be a limit on how precise the values can go especially when hitting the 1000s% but I rather it be rounded up/down when I type the value in, as opposed to clicking and dragging the slider in a haphazard manner. Seems pretty straightforward to implement for a lot of benefit, but I'm not software programmer so I can't say.
Hello, One of my favorite editing techniques is pancake editing, which involves stacking two timelines on top of each other in my Premiere workspace. In my case, I usually have a sequence with all of my source footage on the top, and then my actual working sequence on the bottom. Something that would save me a ton of time is a keyboard shortcut that would allow me to hide/show or collapse/expand the source timeline vertically. I find myself spending unnecessary mouse strokes hiding and adjusting the height of the timeline. Keyboard shortcuts that could eliminate those mouse strokes would be awesome. Maybe even shortcuts that let me change the height of both timelines at the same time, by changing the latitude of the border between the two sequence panels? Thanks!Danny
Please fix that. Premiere v23.2 Kind Regards.
This is probably more an issue for New York, but I have found that in the auto transcription it does not get a lot of the words correct, like it mishears them. I think you need to run a lot more national dialects through the AI so that it can distinquish the ways different people speak. I have seen it predominantly with the African American interviews I've done.
Is there any reason the Transcript's search window needs to be so darn tiny? Every time I write/paste a bit of unique text, if I need to modify it it's like trying to paint a ship in a bottle - very awkward. Can't it expand to the maximum area the window allows for? There is all that unused space to the right of the other buttons.
