Currently I can only read the first three words of a marker comment that I have made on a clip if I'm in the Marker Panel. There doesn't seem to be a way to expand the name or hide the area where you can make a note.
I both love and hate my Adobe video tools. As a professional who makes a living using Adobe tools, as well as an editing and compositing certification instructor, my business acumen thinks it would be so helpful to your customers, as well as greatly improve your branding and the customer perceptions of your company, at least by video professionals, if you were to stop further development of features until the app can run stable and you are able to repair all the bugs. Please, we beg of you, focus there for two years! There are many bugs and, sadly, many of us are pros at the work-a-rounds, here's one: missing waveforms in nested clips and multicams, this one has existed for many many years... Perhaps others may wish to list their "favorite" bug? (why do we all have the default audio crossfade duration set to 2 frames? because we use it that way to solve a bug of clicking in the audio edits on exports) Freeze a frame on a nested clip doesn't always work is another. Every tim
Per @Kevin-Monahan 's request below, I have split 4 feature requests into 4 separate posts. This is now post 1 of 4. It concerns the captioning and text essential graphics features in Premiere. Note: I wrote this in response to a helpful walkthrough video from Premire Gal, which I reference below. Seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qj8BHDQdCy8 Idea:re: text background drawing. Reels and tikok draw ONE background shape around the perimeter of all lines. all one consistently curved and connected shape. The "per-line" + padding technique demonstrated by Premire Gal here is good, and very close! But, it's still a workaround. would be good to get the real thing from Adobe as a formal setting.
Note: I originally wrote this in response to a helpful walkthrough video from Premire Gal, which I reference below. Seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qj8BHDQdCy8 Idea:Font / styling consideration on caption generation. Notice how @Premiere Gal set captions to cover 2 lines, yet several of them appear in 3, which she then had to go in and manually adjust. This is because Premiere calculates caption-length in isolation from true pixel-width of rendered text. For true pixel length accuracy, you must take into consideration font and styling. Why not do this by default? instead of characters per line, maybe it's "% of frame-width per line."
Latest version of Premiere .mp4 source media (yeah, i know)Sequence contains multiple clips with various in/out points set on the clips themselves, i.e. a typical editChoose Project Manager/Consolidate and Transcode/Individual ClipsChoose Quicktime/Apple Prores 4444Check: exclude unsused media, 24 frame handlesResulting export transcodes the entire clip, not the clip from in to out pointSo, it appears to be making a copy of the entire clip and ignoring the in/out pointsnot what I want. i want only the edited, individual sections of the clips from the sequence.any help or advice is appreciated. thanks.
Hello Community, We love hearing your ideas about how to improve Adobe Premiere Pro. Your opinion is critical to us, and the ideas (feature requests) provided here will regularly appear in future versions. When posting an idea, here are a couple of things to keep in mind: How will the idea help your workflow? You're the expert on your workflow, so tell us how your idea would improve your workflow. What problem are you having today that the idea could solve? That helps us understand your idea better. It also makes it easier for us to follow up with you to get more info on your idea. One idea per thread If you have two (or more!) ideas, make each one a separate thread. This will allow others to vote on a specific idea and prevent upvotes from being confused with a list of feature requests. Enlist support! If you feel strongly about a feature and know other people that feel the same way, get them to up vote it in the upper-left of the corner. We kno
Hey, why don't you have the "Ideas" section here as in the Photoshop community? you don't need the ideas to evolve?)
Why there's NO "Ideas" in the Adobe Premiere section?) just curious.... I've got some to suggest
I'm using Premiere Pro 14.I'm new to using the program, so this migh be super simple. Is it possible to view the clip while dragging it in the timeline?I can drag the play-head and it will show the clip accordingly. But if I have the play-head in a fixed position and drag the clip, I would like to view the clip as I drag it in the timeline. Is that possible? If yes - how do I make it happen? Thanks
Hello! I'm thinking about purchasing an iPad Pro, I heard it's supposed to be able to be like a laptop with the new software and all. I was wondering if I could install the Premiere Pro program onto the iPad Pro. I know Premiere Rush is avaliable like it is on the iPhones and other iPads, but since the iPad Pro can handle more stuff? Idk, I was curious if it could take the Premiere Pro program, downloaded from the adobe site, not found in the app store. I don't own a mac book or any apple computers, I do edit using Premiere Pro at school on the apple computers, and I like how the editing is on the Mac. If you have an iPad Pro could you please check for me? I know you can use the screen link thing with the apple laptops or computers and edit with the iPad, but that is not what I am talking about, I wanna know if the iPad Pro, alone, can take the full on Premiere Pro program. Thank you! Have a good day!
I'm having an impossible time locating what I thought was a very basic feature.I have two cameras and one set of audio files, all containing synced SMPTE timecode. How do I sync them all up?Here's the audio, here's the video. Sync them for me using the timecode. Pretty straightforward right? The "merge clips" function only lets me sync one video clip at a time to one audio clip. At this rate, it will take me hours to select each file individually. Is there seriously not a batch function?
Hello.360 Videos can easily track an object within Insta 360 Mobile App. It's a great feature that I use in my workflow. I've signed the trial for Adobe Premiere Pro to transfer my workflow there and use my PC GPU to increse rendering speeds. So far I've been extremely disapointed to understand that there is no matching feature in the leading video editing software in the market: Adobe Premiere Pro. I'm just about to cancel my trial and subscription, as disappointed that I am. Sorry to open up.Is it true, there's no way to auto track an object in Premiere Pro and reframe it or have I been looking in the wrong places?
Hello,I tried to find similar topic, but I didn't found here nor using Google. Is there any software, plugin or platform which can help translation titles or any text in Adobre Premiere Project? Or is there any way to get them from API or export specific format?Kind regards,Marek Helak
A few observations about Search Bins and their ability/limitations when working with XMP Metadata.1) The "Create Search Bin" / "Edit Search Bin" PopupIn one moment it offers the promise of the ability to find what you want when you want. A moment later it seems like a search filter from email app c. 2004:- Two total search filter terms connected by AND and OR. Ideally the window would begin with 1 only, accommodate as many as needed. Mac OS window search offers a compelling powerful alternative.- Currently does not seem to accommodate ("contains", "is", "is not", "begins with", "ends with", wildcards, etc.).- It accommodates searching a total of 21 specific XMP metadata properties plus the umbrella "All Metadata", but a far cry from the huge array of XMP properties available. User-added custom XMP properties are nowhere to be had. That not only reduces its power, it would seem to contradict PPro's otherwise gregarious embrace of MetaData management.- The o
Hello,Is there a way to turn off the divider between the video and audio tracks so I can just see my entire timeline as one fixed canvas? Its infuriating having to scroll up to get to audio tracks 1-4 constantly when I have 12 or more audio tracks. Thanks,Jamie
Hello, I would like request a feature to preview all the Effects like Video Transitions, Video Effects and other under Effects panel in a UI. Thank you Mod note: content was modified for content. Title was changed.
In FCP, when I drag a clip or edge on Timeline, I can press the Command key to enter a mode where it moves frame by frame. This is very useful when the Timeline is dense and the default drag can only move many frames at a time.Is there an equivalent in Premiere Pro? The only other way would be to zoom out the Timeline first, do the drag, and probably zoom back in to resume work. That's too much trouble. And yes there are keyboard shortcuts that move a clip or edge frame by frame, but if I want to move a clip for exactly 2 seconds (60 frames), that's a loooooot of keystrokes AND I need to keep count. Dragging is so much easier. Thanks!
Having zero built-in font organization in CS is akin to using Premiere Pro without bins or Photoshop without layers. In other words, it's a mess! I've seen other posts suggesting ways to organize fonts, yet none that I felt present a complete solution. With that said, here is my suggested solution to the current lack of font organization in CS:Font FoldersFeatures:Ability to create collapsible (i.e. 'twirlable') Font Folders at the top of each CS program's Font List.Ability to add (drag-drop)/remove/reorder/rename fonts within these folders, and add the same fonts to several folders.Four permanent 'Master' Font Folders at the top of each CS program's font list:'Program Name Fonts' (e.g. 'Photoshop Fonts')'CS Fonts''Program Name Projects' (e.g. 'Premiere Pro Projects')'Font List''Program Name Fonts' would be Font Folders that only appear in the respective program in which they were created. Thus, a 'Wedding Videos' Font Folder created in Premiere Pro would only a
So the one thing that has been bothering me to no end is the fact that Premiere has not included a camera shake preset into their library when the product ships. There isnt even a preset you can buy(that i found) for premiere pro. I dont want to use AE for one simple effect that should be included in the release.Fcp has it in its effects tabs and its great, why not Premiere? If anyone has knowledge of a good preset for camera shake, please let me know.I do not wish to mickey mouse it in AE and or even in Premiere .. as i've tested them all before and nothing appeals to me.thanks guys
