I would love to see a button that controls the playback speed similar to what we have on Youtube. This would be incredibly useful when editing long interviews or talking head videos for example. I know that you can use J and L to speed up or slow down playback, but one of the problems with this is once you stop playback, it resumes at normal speed again. I'd like to have a button that remains active until I decide to turn it off, and it would have options between 1.25x, 1.5x and 2x just like Youtube. Am I alone in thinking this would be a useful feature that would speed up workflow? Give this an upvote if you like the idea. Thanks
When I search for a word, it begins the search from wherever the cursor is in the transcript. If I want to search from the top of the script, I have to delete the search box, put the cursor at the first line of the transcript, and then search. It would be great if I could type in the word, then move the cursor where I want to search from and it automatically does it. It would also help if the up and down arrows for 'find next' would never get to the end; so if I'm at the end of a script and I hit down, it takes me back to the very top of the script. Thank you!
while morph cut does a good job if you know what you're doing and pick starting and ending conditions that are close without quick or blurry motion, it continues to have the issue of only being a linear motion. Often times the most invisible results I can achieve mean making the morph as brief as possible, but if I could do a bezier curve, where the influence of the morph ramps up and ramps down, even if it was a default option (i.e. toggle ease on and off rather than customizing the keyframes) it would be such a huge improvement!
Working with clients who do finishing/turnovers on big projects and their assistant editors have to do a lot of work during conforms and onlining to pass specifically clip information on to to post audio and VFX vendors. It would be great if Sequence Index could report on more attributes like the ones listed below; otherwise they're having to rely on 3rd party tools. SPEED. This is a big one. A lot of editors (especially trailer editors) tend to speed up clips to make them fit (both audio and video) and those changes need to be communciated to finishers so that online clips match. And the current EDL output shows the wrong timecode when speed changes are made (at least in v24). SCALE. Likewise, seeing scale and repo info would help with conforming to online. CROPS. Also good info to note when reporting on clips.
please do add clip skimming option , its very important to speedup editing
When I apply a default transition on a clip that has multiple audio tracks it automatically adds the transition to all the tracks - this is great! However, when I want to make an adjustment to the duration of the transition or any other kind of change to the transition it automatically only allows me to select each track transition one by one holding down shift. I would love the option to be able to select my transitions all at once and be able to adjust them all at once. Whether this is a separate pop up widnow that asks me the duration and track layout or if the transition just works like a normal linked clip that I can move back and forth to get the audio transition perfect. Thanks!
Great idea, that of detect and offer render/replace within Premiere or maybe MediaEncoder! That should get posted over to the Ideas section of this forum ... @Ann Bens could you move this post as an Idea?
Alt + Shift + Drag works perfectly if you do it one clip at a time. If you do it for a batch of clips, Premiere decides it's time for a timecode rodeo and you're the one riding the bull. Only the first syncs properly, then for the rest of the clips all bets are off. Hours of work wasted, grey hairs multiplied. For the love of all that I love, why? Why would it work one way for one clip, then a way NO ONE NEEDS for a batch? Why have this work for batches at all if the only result is betrayal and heartache? Please, have it just repeat the EXACT SAME process as for one clip when you ALT + SHIFT + DRAG to replace a batch. We don't need this kind of unpredictability in our lives.
@R Neil HaugenI don’t disagree (read that as mostly agree also). I'm not suggesting anything fancy for VFR support - but rather something as simple as a way to detect VFR and alert the user to go and deal with it.... and a little better, right click, and render replace without VFR. I don’t think I would want VFR support to be built in past the 'render and replace' (on import) approach. The costs of developing it are likely lower than the costs of addressing the problems with support - or the 'negative' aspects that people walk away with without even knowing what the core issue is with VFR. With that said, there are so many people using it for game recording, and OBS etc - this is a new workflow that is big enough that I think adobe needs to address with at least an alert in import - and better yet a way to convert to VFR on import. Feels like we are at the point where we can’t hide from VFR issues as there seems to be so many valid ways to create
When you are coding effects at the level that Premiere does, you can't compare to the prosumer stuff. Even though a couple of them now have a few pretty spiffy/splashy things they do, everything that Premiere does would have to be set for the odd processing involved in VFR. And VFR is a capture thing ... it cuts down on the frames needed to be encoded to the file, just like the long-GOP process cuts down on the pixel data being encoded to file. And in both cases, the playback device then does a ton more work to make it not obvious. So ... can it be done? I would expect it could. But the next question ... given everything else that people want Premiere to start doing, and the constant upgrading to work with newer hardware, dump code for older not-used hardware, all that constant never ending process ... priorities are needed. And would handling VFR better take precedence over 55 or 60 other things? For some users, yes, of course. For the majority of th
@R Neil Haugen @IanB_360 Maybe its time that Adobe deals with VFR... at the VERY least, when you create a proxy, maybe the proxy can be CFR..... frankly, it seems like a pretty minor thing to fix if a free bit of software can do it... adobe should address this once and for all.
Hi there, would it be possible at all to allow scrolling while dragging items in the project window? Currently the only way to get the project window to scroll while holding an item is to hold your cursor at a very specific spot (that isn't really overly clear at all) and then just pray it moves at the correct speed and doesn't move at either the speed of a snail or completely teleport to the top/bottom. Organising large projects is really important and sometimes it really does just feel like I'm fighting premiere to get it done and the only way to get on with my day is manually close all bins that aren't the bin I'm after. Allowing mouse wheel scrolling would allow the user to more naturally search for the bin they're after in the list and place a file where they want it to be. In the same vein I feel like `Shift + MouseWheel` should allow the user to scroll horizontally in the project window as well, but that might be a discussion for another post. I'm unsure if this is may
I'm having trouble changing the voice speed in Adobe Premiere. If I enable the auto-pitch correction feature, the voice breaks (echoes and distortions appear). This problem has been going on for over a year. Can you tell me how to fix it? I've already tried everything.
ソースモニターに波形の表示できるのはすごくいいんですが波形トラックの高さを狭くしたりできると嬉しいです。現状だと高さ変えれても全体の高さは変えれないのでいまいちです。

Hi all, I am recording videos at my kids' school, and their stage lighting is horrendous. Half the kids are lit, the front is overly lit, and there are no lights in the mid to back stage. See screenshot. Can we please have this panel added to Premiere? (Second screenshot below) I need to have the ability to edit the people individually and light them as needed. Plus sharpening, color corrections, etc. Thank you!
I have 20 4k clips on the timeline, I made corrections to them and at the end, I want to apply "Warp Stabilizer".If I do it at the same time for all the clips my iMac is not able to do it.Often some of the clips are not stabilized and I have to press "analyze" again.Even worse, sometimes the computer hangs because of the hard work because it tries to apply the "warp stabilizer" effect to all the clips at the same time.I need to find a way to overcome this issue. The best thing would be if Premiere would apply the effect to the clips sequentially, but I don't know how to do it.I hope you can suggest a new way to solve this problem, thanks.
Hi everyone. I got the new version of Filmoa. There is a feature where you literally press one button, and this allows you to whiten you teeth with a slider. It works so, so well. For a guy like me, with disgusting yellow teeth, this is a godsend. (The rest of me isn't much better but that's another story.) I would like Adobe to seriously consider installing this apparently simple feature. I will even pay them to do it. I've got Beauty Box, which is great, but doesn't have a teeth whiten function (to my knowledge). I've tried countless times to mask, edit, hue etc, and failed miserably each time, and wasted counted hours (I'd probably just save time by, like, brushing my teeth). Anyway, can someone please tell me how to refer this to the Adobe Gods, and get it in the timeline? My teeth ain't gettin no whiter in the meantime. Thank you all. 🙂
This would be the most useful thing in the world for doc editors. Say I have a bin full of A-camera files, a bin full of B-camera files and a bin full of audio files. All with correct timecode. I want a way to take all of those files and have Premiere put them all on a timeline - A-cam on V1 / A1 & A2, B-cam on V2 / A3 & A4, Audio on A5, A6, A7, A8, whatever, in real time order. So whatever the earliest timecode of any of the clips is, - say 09:12:14:03 - that becomes the timecode for the beginning of the sequence. And every clip gets put into the sequence at the correct timecode for that clip. So you have a sequence that basically represents the entire day of shooting, with gaps where nothing was rolling, but in theory everything synced between each camera and audio where it can be.
Every single time I go to Transcribe audio, it's set to Auto-Detect.We have a guy with a thick French accent and the software almost always detects the wrong language. Basically everything I do is in English, so can you please save my preferred Transcription language? Having to pick English every time seems unnecessary. Plus, for people who don't have issue with the Auto-Detect, they can keep it on that setting and it's no extra steps for them.Win-win situation!

This would open up creative possibilities for blending different songs, make it easy to transition between different songs (because they are in the same key and same bpm), removing repetitive sections, and making music evolve organically within a scene.

Editors could expand the group only when needed to adjust individual stem volumes or apply effects. This would reduce visual clutter while maintaining flexibility.Another way to solve it would be to have one nested clip but give the stems seperate faders.See epidemic sound: Integrating stems with Essential Sound features could allow dynamic control over the energy of a scene. For example, reducing the loudness of high-frequency stems could soften the mood, while boosting rhythmic elements could increase intensity. It would be amazing if I could design a crescendo for the intro (think of YouTube tutorials) and then start the main part calmly.
I’m a big fan of Premiere Pro’s Remix feature—it’s a powerful tool for adapting music to fit video timelines. I’d love to see this functionality evolve to support music stems, enabling more granular and creative control over audio.Remix with Stems Instead of Full TracksThe next step in my audio workflow would be the ability to remix individual stems (e.g., drums, bass, vocals) as if they were one song. This would allow editors to tailor the music more precisely to the mood and pacing of their content.
