Metadata display of audio channel names embedded in imported poly WAV files

Most poly WAVs include metadata about track information like kind of mic used, names of characters, etc. E.g. TX, BOOM, MS. This data is unavailable in the metadata display in PP. Would be great to add this to the default metadata options.

Where is this feature already? It is sorely needed!

+ 10,000 (yes, ten thousand votes) for the professionals who reference poly WAV file info from the mixer all the time and don't have the time or patience to chime in here.   This, and correcting the oft errant audio TC in the overlay window are essential, not "nice to haves".

100% - I've been mixing indie projects for years coming from Premiere, and this is a necessary udpate on the export side as well. I've wasted so much time re-organizing tracks and figuring out what's what between scenes - especially when lots of sound editing has already been done. Projects from Avid are a breeze because I can always tell when I've got Booms vs Lavs etc. by simply maintaining the metadata that the production sound mixer likely included.

This seems like a simple fix, and would improve the lives and timelines of sound mixers drastically.

This is a literal nightmare to not be able to recognize which tracks in a long-form edit belong to the lav versus the boom, which my sound mixer took the time to label on set. @7907993 C'mon y'all, it's a toggle button. Absolutely unacceptable that Resolve has this and Premiere doesn't. Are you trying to push us away?

Totally agree with this. It is THE audio medadata that matters during editing. We need this!

We seriously need this. Please Adobe, having this metadata easily available on the audio tracks in the timeline is a basic necessity for professional editing software. It will save us hours of headache, when we finally don't have to trawl through loads of drop-downs to get to iXML metadata.

Could you adobe have a look into this please?? I'm pretty sure it is an easy fix and we are loosing a precious amount of time because of this. It is getting very upseting because can focus on the creative site while we try to search for different mics inside the multichannel .wav's files.

We need to be able to see those audio track names beeing displayed in the project window aswell as in the source monitor
