Option to go back to old timeline label colors?

So apparently the new update has changed the label colors in the timeline, and I do not like them at all. It's supposed to be "easier to see" but it has the complete opposite effect for me. The colors are very dark and have a cheaper feel to them. I know that you can set your label colors to "classic" mode in the settings, which is supposed to be the old look, but it's not the same look at all.

I'm currently going to set premiere back to an older version, but I'd love to see a way to go back to the old colors.

That's been talked about a ton. Change the brightness of your audio label. It's not obvious that's what you need to do, but it does the trick. Mostly.

These are similar, but it doesn't look like the previous version. For example the waveform colours are in reverse: in the previous version the background was darker and the waveform lighter. Any solution for this?

Then modify it. You can do that right now, to any hue/brightness value you want to use.

Same. These dark colors looks like the same. I want that iris the standart blue and cerulean the shine please.

Classic option ın the labels panel is not the same old good look!

I found fix. Go preferences and Labels: Choose classic option (right down corner) and change Iris for: 506C8F and Caribbean for: 0B5821 and ther you go!

If only it were that easy...

This is VERY annoying and is messing up my workflow. I want my money back.

For me the slight difference in colors of the "classic" choice doesn't bother me... However, ever since the update it has become almost impossible for me to click on & drag dissolve points in the timeline (they're also more difficult to SEE if they've been selected due to their new transparency).  Often I'll want to slide a dissolve point over a few frames but instead end up dragging the entire clip and losing the dissolve in the process.  This has been VERY frustrating.

Hi everyone. I am commenting here because a spend a long time trying to fix this issue, and found a solution that works for me(might not work for you), without going back to previous versions, and want others to spend less time on this than i did.

I tried switching to the classic label theme, but it still didn't look right to me, because somehow Adobe thinks its a good idea to invert the colors on the waveform. I read in another thread that apparantly this is a new feature and not a bug...
Anyway, i found out that you can invert the colors on the audio waveform back by lowering the blackness level of the "Iris" and "Caribbean" colors, in the color picker if you click on the label colors in the label settings. 56% seems to be the switching point for "Iris" and 47% for "Caribbean".

It's not the exact same colors as old versions, but close enough for me. Hope this is helpfull for someone 🙂

This thread was most helpful, but I agree with a lot of others here about the color inversion for the waveform being upsetting. The 'Classic' option for the label colors should include forcing the waveform to be light or dark as desired. I think that would make it look like we're all used to right?
