Option to toggle rotate when masking

When masking, the tool focus nearly always switches to rotate the entire mask instead of allowing access to the individual point(s) I want to select. I have never had to rotate a whole mask and do not ever thing I should need to anytime in the future. It would be very helpful to have the ability to switch this feature off.

This is killing me rn please change this I'm losing my mind. There is already a rotation handle, why does it have to happen on every point 😭😭😭

PLEASE ADOBE!!!! I can't think of a simpler coding fix. Just TURN OFF the AUTO switch to rotate on the "Free-auto Bezier Tool" on the next update and let us make detailed clean masks. As someone else said, it truly is the bane of our existence. The mask tool is so powerful and if you feel the need to keep this rotate thing - then perhaps just assign it another key like shift-control or something. Would be a game changer and probably even increase sales!

I don't understand, it's like the rotation is some kind of cruel and evil joke to cause more pain and frustration. Please make it go away

At this point, masking is just exhausting because of the rotation issue. It almost seems like a bad joke. Please implement the above mentioned feature right away.

Please Adobe improve this feature!

The very simple solution to this very annoying problem is to set the "rotate-all-keyframes-function" to be used only via a Shift-click or similar shortcut+click.

Whenever I have created a mask and I want to manually animate some adjustments over time (change the mask path directly on program monitor) I never want to rotate the entire mask when manipulating the individual points on the mask shape. However it continually pops up and unwantingly rotates the whole thing. (Which has become quite a bother and an extra cmd Z stroke.) Couldn't 'rotate' be under a separate keyboard shortcut or just appear when hovering over the circle with stick where you can also manipulate feather for the entire mask?

I really hope this would be improved upon. Masks are really handy but the editing of masks in PP is finicky.

Being able to move combined edges (SHIFT), as well as the previously mentioned things from @1287334 Eggleston are crucial in so many moments!

Please Adobe 🌸.

Seriously @adobe this is ridiculous. Why can I not make a simple mask like in photoshop or after effects
