Some problems with existing Version

Adobe Premiere Pro

1. Clips Sorting in Bin: The default order for clips in the bin should be by name. Currently, clips are arranged randomly, and reorganizing them by name requires a lengthy process. This should be streamlined with an option to set a default sorting order.
2. Auto Silence Removal: While silence removal can be done with plugins, these are often expensive, and since we’re already paying for the software, this feature should be included natively. It would be great to see more advanced options like silence detection based on decibels, the ability to automatically trim audio, or integrate external audio with video clips.
3. Auto Cut Issues:
• When using Auto Cut on 4K clips, it often cuts an extra frame at the end, showing part of the next clip. This needs to be fixed.
• Auto Cut does not work properly when audio is removed or manual cuts are made. It should be able to handle clips regardless of edits.
4. Folder Integration: It would be useful to right-click on a folder and open it directly in Premiere Pro, similar to how folders can be opened in VS Code. This would improve workflow efficiency.
5. MKV Format Support: Please add native support for MKV format. Many of our clips are in MKV, and converting them to other formats is time-consuming.
6. Color Shifts During Export: There is a noticeable color shift when exporting a project compared to the working file. The process to fix this (adjusting color settings in Media Encoder from Rec. 709 to others) is too complex. There should be a simple option to retain the original clip’s export settings. This issue especially arises with iPhone footage.

The post needs to be split up. They don't "do" lists, they need individual posts, per subject, to get a proper "upvote" count on each item.

As to the color shift, that's only an issue if you're not applying correct CM settings. Or don't realize that Macs without reference modes "see" Rec.709 differently from all other devices, including Macs with reference modes. Which isn't "fixable" and is a pain.

As you can set the clip to look same in Premiere and QuickTime player on Macs without Reference modes, but it ain't looking the same on all other rigs. Or so it looks similar on all rigs but Macs without reference modes.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...
