When shrinking an audio clip, the mistake of grabbing the small rectangle of the fade handle occurs.

The fade handle function was added in the 24.4.1 update.
However, when controlling an audio clip with the mouse, you end up grabbing the fade handle when you want to grab the edge of the clip.
It should be made so that this doesn't happen by mistake, or it should be possible to turn the fade handle on and off.

There is a solution now, but it’s still in Beta. I’d guess it will be released on next shipping version.

I hoped to find a solution here… but no. Nothing. It’s been almost a year that they added that feature, and nothing got done. I’m currently using a lot of open source tools now and this kind of issues would be a total heresy in this environment... or would had been fixed in few days or even less. Closed softwares are definitly not the future.

I'm attending an Adobe event in Austin tonight, and I've printed out this request with some ideas of my own in case I run into any UX/Development people.

Upvoted! I prefer to use a shortcut to apply the fade out and then happy to use the mouse! ☝️

That mouse wiggle in your screen recording 😂😂 I feel your pain ❤️

This is a feature that is so rarely used compared to every other action you might do with your mouse on the audio track. I do use this feature, but it would genuinely save me time to have this as something that I needed to turn on every once in a while, compared to all the times I need to 'ctrl+z' after I accidentally grabbed the fade handle.
Thank you, and get on it Adobe.

Upvoted, the fact that we can't turn it off is really annoying

is there still no option to turn this off? I don't even understand why this is a feature??? Like does anybody actually use it???
