Applying dither is a nice way of getting smooth gradients in print and various exports. The problem is, it slows Illustrator down considerably, especially when working with large art board sizes. Simple toggle in export dialogues would save much hassle!

We use engravers, laser cutters, routers and waterjets to use artwork from Illustrator.  I’ve been told by production that saving this as a .dxf (kind of works), but that their is no spline that a traditional CAD program might have.  I’m wondering if there are any better conversion methods that exist or that could exist that could better convert the curves/paths of items to manufacturing equipment as listed above.  Once upon a time there was Gerber and Omega but this sort of fell apart and was never upgraded.

Have monthly payments for the retired seniors who are using the Creative Cloud apps. $70.+ is becoming too much for the retired. 

Illustrator has a tool to create charts and graphs but it is cumbersome and not easy to use. Once you create a chart/graph it’s auto generated in grayscale and recoloring is difficult, the legend/key auto-created is also difficult to style or edit. Excel is better, a product that’s not even intended for graphic design is better at basic charts/graphs than a program built to illustrate things. Microsoft should not be eating your lunch like this, but they are. 

They made sense when the symbol feature was first rolled out. I have to delete them when I open a new document. At the least, figure out some useful symbols to have as default  

I have been having to save all of my .eps files to .ai just to be able to get a quick preview of them on my desktop. otherwise, i have to open the .eps file just to see what it is. It is a huge time waster. thanks. 

It’s astonishing that something as simple as margins still hasn’t been implemented in Illustrator. I often use it for designing flyers, banners, and other print pieces if I need to work with vectors that I want to be able to edit in the same app. Having to create a rectangle the size of your document, manually resize it, center it, and then convert it to guides is such a roundabout way of doing something that InDesign does natively.

This is for Fresco, but i couldn’t find it in the product list.Recently in a UI overhaul (which was mostly good), the Fresco developers moved Undo right next to Home and this is a TERRIBLE place for it. More than once I have caught myself drawing all over the wrong layer and quickly went to Undo and brought myself out of the document, therefore losing any Undos I had. 

Previewing .psd and .ai files in Windows. Why does every other graphics program have this feature, while Adobe hasn't managed to implement it since the dawn of time?

At the moment, going full screen is just filling up my desktop, but doesn’t exist as its own window which is super annoying if you’re working across several adobe applications, like using photoshop, indesign, and illustrator for the same project.

Bring back Pantone colour books in Illustrator and add in RAL colour books. 

Instead of naming and sorting layers yourself, have AI assist with layering your design assets/components. It would save a lot of time if it were possible and help with opening someone else’s messy unlayered file.

I would love the ability to (AI) generate short animations from text - e.g. for health promotion activities or sharing research findings - for visual communications, for people for whom English is not their first language - or perhaps people also with literacy issues. I’m an Illustrator user so that would be my first port of call, but other Adobe apps might be better placed for this.

We really should be able to choose whether the outline color of text is internal, external, or centered, like we can with any other object. We can do it in Photoshop, why not Illustrator?

Could you please consider creating a key code to turn Trim View on and off in Illustrator? On behalf of my design team, we beg you. 

With larger file names, now one must always scroll in the file name to make changes. Most screens have plenty of space for a larger 'Save as' field. So it should adjust in width automatically (responsive) or allow for a custom field width. 

Ability to share individual library contents to specific person from Library panel to email or teams so that it can download the file directly. Or I can download specific library content directly to my downloads folder.

Standardise, give more options, and increase the detail for linking / re-linking / finding files and packaging inside ALL Adobe software. The workflow should be more holistic across ALL Adobe software. Finding files, relinking files, packaging files and even linking files can be a complete nightmare depending on the software used. Every piece of software has a different way of doing it and alternative options. And a lack of options. Adobe software is NOT intuitive or up to standard with the way creatives and professionals use multiple types of files that link to each other.I feel that with modern storage, the amount of files we produce on a daily basis, the size of these files, and the way designers and creatives use Adobe software fluidly, should be mirrored in the ‘find links’ and saving options of all your software. I'd like to be able to use DIMENSIONED symbols. So when I make them 2 1/2” tall or 3" tall they import exactly that size or I can adjust the size/scale when importing them into a box either by the size of the box or toggle in the tool that allows for a measurement.  If the item is 2 1/2” x 2 1/2” and I put it in a 4” wide box, I’d want it to stay 2 1/2” wide.  So perhaps the toggle is set to either height or width.  If it’s a circle, I don’t want it to make flat edges.  In the end, I want the SYMBOLS  to remain DYNAMIC, so that I have the paths so the item can be cut on a laser cutter that uses paths. 

I can't rotate it to a perfect angle, such as 90° or 60°. I think we should add an option to input the angle.
