Flash Player (read-only)

We have noticed that the latest Flash Player (23.0.0.185) from 11Oct  is not included as part of the Chrome 54 updater.This has resulted in a message to user that “Flash plugin is out-of-date please update”.This links to a rather awkward set of steps where the user needs to go to chrome://components and manually update the plugin.Is there a misalignment between Chrome and FP PPAPI distribution for the current release?OrWill this happen going forward, whereby the user needs to always manually update the Flash Player component?We are aware of Chrome’s “HTML first” position for Chrome 55 – but unable to find concrete plans as to what exactly this means in terms of messaging and exact user interaction.This Chrome 54 issue was not expected.

I'm trying to understand how to avoid installing Adobe Flash Player Updater Scheduled Task.I am also unable to remove the Scheduled Task using a script that works on other tasks, on the same workstations.Is there an mms.cfg setting that will instruct the installer to skip the Task?1) Uninstall the Scheduled Task from all workstations in my environment.2) Install future updates without the Scheduled Task.I have already tried mm.cfg with these lines:AutoUpdateDisable=1SilentAutoUpdateEnable=0It still runs the update process every hour.I have explained that it hasn't been causing a problem, but running this many processes on so many computers for no reason is causing some concern.My organization also does not allow big bang automation included with this product.Has anyone managed to shut off the Updater process from running?Thank you

hi,i have a question i can't get an answer for,does linux use flash player differently than windows ?i use mageia5 linux 32bit and play an online flash game using firefox + flash 24.0.0.194,i also use chromium open source browser + pepper flash 23.0.0.185,using both these browsers on my pc shows an error (the is no actual warning of an error, its a visual error) in the flash game, some numbers are shown with decimal places where they shouldn't be,for instance, on windows a number will be shown as 55, in my linux this will be shown as 55.00,is the way linux is made producing this error, or is it the game itselfany other info i can supply then please ask, any info given is much appreciated in solving this,i can also supply screenshots to clarify, if needed

I use a Powershell-based system to detect new versions of Adobe Flash Player. In a nutshell, when a new version is detected as having been released, the script Invoke-WebRequests the fp_background_update.cab file from the Adobe distribution server, then unpacks it on my internal Flash update servers, which then allows the multiple thousands of machines I manage to update their version of Flash like good little soldiers. Simple, efficient, hands-off. It's worked like a champ for well over a year.Not anymore. Since this latest round of changes on the back end, my Powershell script cannot download the fp_background_update.cab file anymore, even using the link (https://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/distyfp/current/win/fp_background_update.cab) from the shiny new distribution page from this latest round of changes to how Adobe distributes things. Hello,My concern and issue is I can't seem to find the correct answer to my question:How do I uninstall flash player completely from my laptop.Currently I am running Windows 7.I've downloaded the removal tool and ran it this is what I come up with no matter what I have tried so far.If you put your cursor in the picture and right click, choose "open image in a new tab" the tab will open and you will be able to magnify it so you can see it better. what if you don't know your admin user name and password how do you ever get this thing downloaded?

My antiviral software, Webroot SecureAnywhere, seems to think the installation file is a Trojan. Was this scanned for viruses before it was put up for people to install? Webroot won't let me install it.

When I try and install flash player, a box pops up and asks for me ID and password. I type in my Adobe ID and password, and it says its incorrect.Even If I click on download Flash, while I am signed in to Adobe.com it says its incorrect.Can anyone help?

I was able to use System Center Updates Publisher 2011 this morning to import anything for Adobe Flash from their public SCUP catalog.  There were no updates of course because this was an hour or two before the new update 24.0.0.194 was released.now that it is released I get a error, and in the log I see an HTTP 404 errors (not found).Is anyone else seeing this and is there something wrong?  Has Adobe changed the path or taken this offline for good?  I cannot find any news about this online.These are the errors from the SCUP.log in our SCCMDownload file: http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/AdobeFlashPlayerCatalog_SCUP.cab failed with message "The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found." Videos I wish to play from FB won't play on Safari.  They work fine on Chrome but I hate jumping back and forth.  I have downloaded recent version of Adobe flash player and my OS / Safari is up to date.  Have had this issue before and somehow got past it.  This time I seem stuck.

I'm getting this error every since I installed the latest version of flash along with Firefox 51.0.1 32 bit. This error does not occur on other machines running Firefox 50 32bit.I've submitted my problem to Mozilla and I haven't received any replies as of yet.I have completely uninstalled Firefox and flash and deleted all folders with dependent files for both programs and my attempt at a solution isn't working. I have downloaded Adobe Flash Player Installer and I am on a Macbook Pro, I am using Chrome and need the latest updated version for an online interview I am taking part in.  When I have checked in system preferences it says that both my NPAPI and PPAPI are installed and up to date. How can I update the flashplayer so I can use it for this online interview?

I cannot figure this out.I've never had flash tuned off, but no sites will recognize it. Even the adobe testers on their own site, specifically the cloud animation with the refresh button on it and the one located directly on the page which only contains the one suggestion which essentially make sure you've got the thing plugged it. Thing is, I've never even turned it off. I only noticed something was up when a site asked me to click to use the flash content, followed by reporting that I had no flash. Edge is integrated with it, and no downloader will let me install on system because of that fact.Any suggestions?

I have a Mac OSX 10.6.8 ---------- it can not be upgraded!!!!!!!!!I got an update saying to upgrade my "Player" ------------ I cant upgrade anything.   Nothing works with10.6.8,,,,,, and because of that adobe has put a block on any video (streamimg) (Netflix).  So i cant watch a video ------- how do i get it removed, cause i cant afford a new Mac OR PC??????
