I had a long thread and a lot of discussion about this once before- the web-based installer is STILL not working for Flash player, and I see the distribution page is soon to go the way of the dodo, requiring a distribution license to download that installer from that page. This has become a problem, b/c I am STILL getting errors about outdated flash player and it being rendered inoperable and blocked, DESPITE that my about:plugins info and the flash test page give the same current version - trying to download the web installer is pointless as it never runs… it just hangs, like it was doing probably 10 months or so ago that I was on these forums trying to get it working. I can't, for the life of me, figure out why you'd remove access to the only working installer some of us have when you KNOW that the problem has been ongoing for some time and has never been resolved.Any ideas how to get flash to actually WORK again!? It's got the current version but apparently that is already flagged o

I downloaded the latest version of flash player and tried to watch a movie..Keep getting a notification that I need the latest version of flash player and it is installed in system preferences.

two days ago I got windows update for flash and since then it no longer functions right. in online games it locks and freeze for long time periods.Microsoft support wants to have Flash reinstalled but I am not allowed to download and reinstall it the Adobe flips me to it already exists so I an getting screwedI need to get the newest version on download and reinstall it to fix the current problem.As I use the new Edge which is great but now will not work correctly any longer so I am very upsetI need to be contacted by Adobe Support and given help

Flash player seems to be out of date it locks up Is there an update? If so How can I upgrade or install?

Every time an update to Adobe Flash Player finishes installing, I am presented with a dialog box titled "Update Flash Player Preferences" (see below).  And every time I check the same box "Notify me to install updates" as my preference; the software does honor my selection, but why does it ask me again and again the same question.  My question / concern / request is, why cannot the update software maintain the setting that was chosen during the previous (50 plus) installations / updates and default to the selection last made (i.e., Notify me to install updates)?  Why do I have to keep making the same selection time after time, update after update.  The update installation should first check the current setting from previous installation and default to what ever that setting was.Obviously, the information is stored in Flash Player as it appears on the "Updates" tab (see second image)!  There is no logical reason this setting cannot be automatically transferred t

Hi,I'm after some clarification on how flash player does (or doesn't) work with a proxy. My understanding is that it will try RTMP on port 1935 first going direct. In our environment this won't work so what happens then? Does it try 80 and 443 again going direct or does it use the browsers proxy settings for those? If it tries direct and fails does it then failback to RTMPT but pick up the proxy settings?I have tried to find this info but have been unable to find it clearly described.thanksA

If I go to a page using Flash Player, Windows 10 says I need to install it. I press install, and it says it's already on Windows 10. I press test, and it says disabled. I check on settings and advance settings, and it shows the flash player is on. I refresh the page, and it still shows as disabled. Is there some way it is both on, and disabled?

I just signed up to distribute Flash Player and Reader DC. The confirmation email contains the links for downloads. The Flash Player link sends me to a download page, but the links to download send me to a 404 page.

I have installed Windows 10 - went to advanced settings - enabled flash player - still no flash player - when I test on the troubleshooting page it says it is disabled. Help?

I got prompted to install a Flash update today on my Win 10 Pro machine. Install window shows the usual "I've read and agree to license" box. I thought I'd glance at the license, unlike probably 99% of people who blow past that. Clicking the link resulted in the following:1) Browser (Firefox) opened to an Adobe page with a long list of products.2) I had to search this page to find the Flash Player license link. Why could Adobe not link directly to the license page??3) I clicked the link, which prompted me to download the license PDF. I saved it locally.4) I clicked the file in the browser download list to open the license. Nothing happened. Tried this a couple of times, same result.5) Found the PDF file in my file explorer, and tried opening it from there. But wouldn't open from there either.6) Checked Task Manager and saw around 8 instances of adobe exe running, but nothing open on desktop.My conclusion is that when the Flash installer is running, Adobe Reader won't open. Is it possible Flash Player show a Chapter List, as Windows Media Player Classic does with a mp4 file?

All,I was wondering if anyone has experienced my problem. I have managed to successfully implement a background update solution however, after a successful update the  Flashplayerupdateservice.exe is also removed from the "Macromed\Flash" folder. The service and scheduled tasks are also removed. This means that the future Background Updates will not occur anymore as there is no service to look for the update. I was wondering if anyone knows why the above file gets removes. Using the Chrome last atualization makes my flash game stop loading for days, freezing the screen. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate, and Internet Explorer 11In summary, I only started having problems after applying the most recent Microsoft security updates earlier this week. Suddenly, when I try to view any of my normal videos in Explorer, from news pages, facebook etc there is a banner saying 'SORRY, You need to install Flashplayer, I check my add-ons and it says Flashplayer already installed and enabled. Yet the adobe troubleshooter/help says there is no Flashplayer installed. I installed Flashplayer again successfully, rebooted and still get the same messages and results. I installed once again to make sure it wasn't a fluke and results the same, gone again after reboot.The problem is only occurring in Explorer, Chrome and Firefox both working fine.
