All tight the next text layout frame work is very cool; however, there is one thint I have not managed to do--to get rid of the default initial text that comes with the Flash Component.  ie how do I remove the first line of text : "TextLayout Sample Text" ?I have no trouble adding and a manipulating new text, but I don't know how to get rid of that first line.Some of the compiled examples do the trick, but none of them compile for me due to the following error ("Type was not a compile time constatne  ImportExportConfiguration)

I'm trying to use an external HTML data source with the Spark RichEditableText control, and it has the following structure:<p>My wrapping text here.</p><img id="picture1" src="image1.png" /><img id="picture2" src="image2.png" /><p>More text...</p>I'm noticing a large gap above my <img> tags when rendered in the RichEditableText control. Anyone know how I can control the padding on top of <img> elements that are specified in external HTML and imported using TextFlow.importToFlow() ? This also might be a rendering bug, because I can see the text rewrap on initialization, and it's as if the control is leaving the once occupied space still empty and not moving the <img> elements up along the y axis. Hi,I'm just looking into using Cairngorm 3 with Parsley. My application has several views, similar to the InSync modular example, but a large amount of the data needs to be shared between views.I guess because of this, I shouldn't be using modules.Also, where each view in the examples has its own presentation model, I guess I will need an overall application model for holding this shared data? I have an InlineGraphicElement wrapped in a LinkElement.When the user rolls out of that LinkElement and onto a display object that is NOT part of the TextFlow the MouseCursor will remain an IBeam and seems to be governed by logic from the TextFlow.I suspect that the TextFlow only clears certain mouse listeners and cursor control when the underlying container is rolled out of directly and not via a LinkElement.  I couldn't work out how to simulate that event to trigger the clearing of those listeners.

HI thereI am working on creating a bullet function. It works like this:Get the current paragraph selection and use a formatting function - paragraphStartIndent to move that over to the leftprepend a new paragraph element containing the bullet and use  baselineShift to move that down.I can repeat that for all selected paragraphs. In other word you can say i want to enter text in Local languages in the Text Area(like in Hindi,Kannda,Bangla) . Are there plans to implement InlineGraphicElement.float? Currently it's in tlf_internal namespace and states to be in prototype mode. Will it make to release of TLF, which will be aligned with Flex 4.1?

I think about implementing iChat-like application:As you can see it's simple and the only problem is that user will not be able to select multiple messages and copy them. I tried exporting text in Indian languages to XML format, the resulting XML had '?' characters. The following code was usedvar exporter:ITextExporter = TextConverter.getExporter(TextConverter.TEXT_LAYOUT_FORMAT);var xmlExport:XML = exporter.export(_textFlow, ConversionType.XML_TYPE) as XML;NOTE: The text was rendered as expected. I think this is a bug but I just want to verify.  In EditManager.performRedo(), it dispatches a FlowOperationEvent.FLOW_OPERATION_COMPLETE event but passes in "op" as the operation parameter when I think it should be passing in "redoPsuedoOp".  This would make it consistent with performUndo().  Without passing redoPsuedoOp, it's difficult to tell from an event handler whether the operation was a redo or a brand new operation.

Hi,I want to control how the undomanager works, specifically, how the un-do operatiosn are performed. I want to be able to un-do text entered by the users letter by letter or workd by word. How can this be done?Secondly, would that have a impact on performance? let's say we keep a atack of 50 operations in the undopmanager.tks.

Hi,When i use RichTextEditor and the other component for writting a text in Hindi.I am not able to write a text in Hindi in the running application.I am able to do copy and paste but not able to do directly from the keyboard.Other than Hindi i am able to write a text in every language.As for example -There is two textBoxes - one for username and other for password.Now i want to enter my username and password in hindi. I can do copy and paste but not able to enter in Hindi.Please help me out, is it possible with this framework.Or Flex doesnt support Hindi text.Thanks

Hi, All.This problem is on the release build of Adobe Flash Builder 4.IntroductionNow I'm trying to make e-Book Reader which can handle with Japanese vertical text layout.Of course, TCY(Tate-Chu-Yoko) Layout is needed.Please see the snapshot below.Generally say, the TextFlow object which applyed "rl" on BlockProgression shows Japanese vertical Layout properly.Multi byte Japanese characters are "standing up" same as horizontal layout.And Single Byte characters (I wonder if this name is proper. ASCII? Like "a", "0", "é" ,etc...) are rotated +90 degree, in other words, "layed down".So, in ordinary Japanese vertical text layout, independent single character or  independent 2 characters will be TCYed as shown above.Rest (I mean consecutive 3 or more Single Byte Characters) are "layed down".Now, the introduction ends.Problem: TCYElement which contains text are dissapeared on "NORMALIZATION".On the release build of Flash Builder 4, some Multi Byte characters are not "standing up properly

Hey TLF gurus,So here's my situation.  I have a text flow.  The user starts typing "The lazy brown dog..." and after each character is typed I'm modifying the font size of all the text to make it fit inside the container.  Here's how I'm doing that: http://aaronhardy.com/flex/size-text-to-container/ (you can right-click the app to see the source).That all works well, but undo isn't working so well.  When I hit undo, I would like it to remove the text.  But when I call undo on the undo manager, it gets to EditManager.performUndo() where it checks to see if operation.endGeneration is different than textFlow.generation.  In my case, they aren't the same because I updated the font size after the last keystroke.  Because they're different, the undo fails.  Because I updated the font size after the last text insert, TextFlow.processModelChanged() was called and increased the text flow's generation while the insert text operation's end generation stayed

Hey guys!i have a textflow ( width:500 , height:200 ) within a longer text     the text in the textflow breaked to 3 lines ( multiline with break ) ...     i want to know how to get the following values:          - the Width & Height of 1st line in pixel and x , y ( bounds of the  first line )          - the Width & Height of 3rd line in pixel and x , y ( bounds of the third line )     ...and          - is it possible in a textflow to set the CompositionSize to Auto ( AutoWidth / AutoHeight ) according to the contained text ?Thanks!
