It would be a game-changer to have automatic rotoscoping built directly into Premiere Pro, similar to what’s available in After Effects or Final Cut Pro. As someone who edits a lot of sports reels, speed and efficiency are crucial. Being able to click on a subject — like an athlete — and have Premiere automatically track and mask them out would save a ton of time. This would be incredibly useful for effects like placing text or graphics behind the player, applying background blur, or doing isolated color grading without jumping into After Effects. Having AI-driven masking right in the Premiere timeline would seriously streamline fast-turnaround edits and make creative effects more accessible.
I've been an Adobe user for decades, and until a few weeks ago have never bothered to look at or post anything within the "Adobe Community". Nothing against it, just haven't needed it and never wanted to take the extra time to go into yet another app to write up a note like this. I suspect this is true of many "power users" or people who work on large teams where questions can be more easily answered by humans. Especially these days, when it's much more reliable to simply ask chatGPT. The biggest barrier for me personally has been that I didn’t want to leave the UX (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc) to open up "yet another" tab/app. Go to a browser, click a bunch more buttons, etc. Instead of making the user drill down to find an answer, why not bring the answer to them? Why not provide support seamlessly within the app? Leverage AI to supply answers or tell users "we'll get back to you soon with an answer!" while their comment gets routed to Adobe's CRM. AI can also ask for clarification or convert the original comment or question into a well formed question as needed, and post it to the forum where humans may contribute comments. Unobtrusive notifications appear within the original users app, where the conversation may be monitored. Since the conversation was sent to Adobes CRM, a variety of other automations or processes could keep everything flowing and ensure the customer gets an (accurate!) answer. (This raises another issue I've noticed. AI could probably help alleviate this: Contributors, who often seem to be moderators, sometimes provide answers that are inaccurate, unclear, or even start flame wars with customers.)
Often when creating a new catalog, this is overlooked and settings are not saved.
I'd love to be able to add a white border while I edit in develop mode, as many times that is how I display my images. it would help to visualize the image in its final form better. Thx!
I love how precise the Color Balance tool in Photoshop is, how you can adjust shadows, midtones and highlights with exact number values. I wish there was a way to do this in Premiere; the RGB curves, color wheels and other grading tools are not as intuitive or easily adjustable in my experience.
With the advanced possibilities of generative AI it would be awesome and relatively easily to have a tool/feature in Lightroom that automatically generates and fills in the blown-out parts of the highlights and/or lowlights in a picture. Blown out skies and textures in dark areas could be generated quite easily. Thus having fewer "failed" photos when exposure was set incorrectly.
It would be good to have an "are you sureyou want to dismiss" request after pressing ESC in ACR. I have occasionally pressed it by accident and it dismisses ACR instantly which can result in hours of lost work. It would be good to demand a confirmation to save us from our own finger trouble!
I am requesting an import filter in lightroom mobile in order to see which fotos have NOT been imported from my mobile device into lightroom. Currently I see all pictures including the ones which have been imported already
The current way to add and manipulate transitions on the timeline is a sort of "guess & check" method, you've got to have the right amount of handle frames before you add it, and the way it is displayed isn't very visually appealing.I propose adding the same functionality that Audition has, where overlapping clips will automatically create a crossfade. This is an incredibly intuitive way of handling transitions, and can also be applied to Video transitions (as is done on other professional NLEs). See attached gif for an explanation of what I mean.Currently, overlapping clips on the timeline will create a cut. For editors that use this functionality as a shortcut (no pun intended), this "auto crossfade" feature would be optional (easy to toggle on/off on-the-fly). I think this would be a great way to increase productivity for transitions, as well as avoid accidentally losing your work by inadvertently overlapping clips when moving things around en masse on the timeline!
Dear Lightroom Team, I would like to request a feature that would make working with photo stacks much more efficient. Example:In my workflow, I have a panorama stack in the collection path:Travel → Destination → RAW After I stack the panorama (group) and perform color correction, I want to move the entire group of 9 photos to a new collection:Travel → Destination → Edited Currently, Lightroom only allows moving photos individually, which breaks the stack. This means that if I have a panorama stack or any group of images, I have to manually move each photo, then restack them in the new collection. Suggested Improvement:It would be very helpful to have the option to move the entire stack as one unit between collections—without breaking it. For example, pressing CTRL (or CMD) + mouse drag could move the full stack instead of just individual files. This would be useful not only for panoramas, but also when returning edited images from Photoshop back into Lightroom Classic (which often creates new stacks). Having the ability to move stacks intact between collections would make the workflow much faster and more organized. Thank you for considering this improvement. Kind regards, Ilja
We need more options for the zoom factors - jumping from 100% directly to 200% is too much of a zoom. Please add either much smaller increments or the option to manually type in the zoom factor!Dragging other work areas to adjust the composition preview size as a workaround doesn't work for me either.Gif shows the situation when working on a 5k 27" iMac (and zooming both via mouse wheel and the menu)
Dear adobe, please add a 75% zoom distance for the Magnificaition ratio popup. Goign from 50% to 100% is way too drastic of distance, so 75% is a nice sweet spot. Thank you.
Like in Photoshop, be able to manually set the zoom size. Is very annoying to reset window sizes to achieve this.
Instead of jumping in intervals when zooming, I'd very much prefer a smooth means of zooming to go along with the smooth panning we have. Its one of the experience pleasantries I have with other apps and wish it were in AE as well. Its nice for when dealing with details. Roto, checking key edges, etc.
I think that Express feature of Dynamic Text is so smooth, so simple and effectivebut at the same time there isnt something like that in Ilustrator or Photoshop.Adobe please bring this feature to AI and PS. Its great and unfortunately we dont have its elsewhere. Thank you.
I'm using a project that makes heavy use of expressions. Even though I'm not applying any particular effects or processing, the performance becomes very slow when I go to the upper hierarchy levels. I'm attaching the project file. The compositions become progressively slower in this order: "ALL" → "ALL_Filter" → "ALL_SplitCut".This appears to be a bug report or support request describing performance issues with nested compositions in an After Effects project that uses many expressions. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/8k7hn749yq7zhnr27u28t/very-heavy-project.aep?rlkey=0fiyomjdzubpwe9cos2h5dfby&dl=0
I would like the ability to select multiple sequences in the project window and be able to change the settings for all them at once.Currently, I have to adjust them individually.
I'm annoyed that Adobe removed preset syncing. That would solve all my problems. Instead we are forced to use Libraries, which don't allow for app specific assets like photoshop brushes. Give us a solution that syncs photoshop's (or any app's) assets and presets across devices so the user experience isn't different everywhere they use their apps. For example, there should be a straightforward way to save all my brushes in a library so I can go to another of my PCs and see them all, or so that a team member can see them all in a shared library.
