Any mask that I create in LRC the selection turns to B&W. The only way I can revert back to color is to undo the mask. if I leave the Mask Edit menu and go to Basic Edit menu, the selected objects are still B&W and all the sliders work as expected on the B&W object, i.e. if I change the Exposure slider the B&W object change brightness just as the rest of the image. This happens with both .nef & .dng files. Ken Anderson (aka keniliamna)
Hardware:Mac Mini M4 Pro with 24 GB RAM and 16 GPU cores. The same issue also occurs on an M1 Pro. Lightroom Classic 15.2 macOS Tahoe 26.3 RAW ARW files from Sony A1, A9ii and A9i as well as compressed DNG converted files behave similarly. GPU acceleration is enabled in Preferences > PerformanceObserved behavior with AI Denoise Lightroom Classic Denoising a single image via the Detail panel is very fast: 5–7 seconds. When batch-processing even just 2 images, the first image processes quickly (normal speed), but the second image takes 38–40 seconds — about 5× slower. In larger batches (e.g., 100 images), the first image remains fast, but all subsequent images (the remaining 99) are consistently slow. Creating a preset that applies only Denoise and applying it to a single image results in the slow processing time (~40 seconds). Denoising one image quickly, then syncing that setting to another image, is also very slow.Workaround comparison: Manually scrolling through thumbnails and cli
In the recently released 15.5 LrC when modifying the capture time the list in the Library filter is not updated. Before edit capture time 001 is updated, not shown as selected on todayLeaving folder and re-entering brings in new date of 001.Modifying 002 does not show its new date. This started with LrC 15.5, in 15.4 the date list was updated immediately.Checked with Flag and Rating these new values are shown immediately when set. This is on Windows ARM.
Lightroom Classic 15.5 crashes during Assisted Culling / Auto Analysis on Windows 11, RTX 4060 Laptop GPU, 32 GB RAM. Please investigate.
Subject: Lightroom Classic – Reproducible UI Instability and Repeated Crashes After the Latest UpdateDear Adobe Support,I am reporting a serious stability issue that started immediately after installing the latest version of Lightroom Classic.EnvironmentWindows 11Latest version of Lightroom ClassicCatalog optimizedSufficient free disk space availableLatest graphics drivers installedLightroom Classic reinstalledGPU settings reviewed and testedCamera Raw cache reviewed and increasedWindows fully updatedIssue DescriptionSince the latest Lightroom Classic update, the application has become unstable during normal editing sessions. The issues occur without using any AI-powered features such as AI Denoise, AI Masking, HDR, Super Resolution or Generative Remove.During normal work in both the Library and Develop modules, I consistently experience the following problems:The histogram in the Develop module randomly disappears and then reappears several seconds later.Interface panels load slowly or
My Lightroom Classic catalog got corrupted so I created a new one and imported all my photos from the corrupted one. That worked fine. Now, I am trying to get it back to syncing properly. I enabled sync on the new catalog. Lightroom created a "From Lightroom" collection set, but all downloaded collections remain empty. Sync stopped after approximately about 2,000 photographs and has remained at that count for several days even though there are over 30,000 photos to be synced. Sync Activity continuously shows cloud asset downloads, but no progress is made. The original local collections remain intact but are no longer linked to the cloud. Enabling sync on one of those collections creates a duplicate cloud album instead of reconnecting it. Does anyone know what I should do?
Why does the Develop module not populate the image, but is a blank grey space? G, E all quickly populate proper display, but Develop, Flagging, Starring are SUPER SLOW, as in 30 seconds to register the keystroke, if at all. What is bogging this down. Came out of blue, however the images are stored on an external HD, and my Mac battery expired while the external hard drive was attached and LrClassic was open. I have the latest MacOS and Lightroom classic updates onboard.
I have an issue for about last month or so that every time I remove something from a photo, it can be a dirty spot in the sky and it can be a socket on the wall, each one of them can take 5 sec or 10 minutes.Sometimes it will remove a spot in a sec and in the next it will take forever. 5-10 minutes.I worked with gemini and this are the things I did to try and solve this:- Created a new catalog and gave it more space for cache, I think 5GB was the recommendation if I remember correctly.- I added memory to my pc now it is 2*16GB.- Changed my wierelles card now my internet is 100GB download 80GB upload.Overall my pc works very fast and has no issues, this is the only one. What else can I do to make this processes faster?I can’t work and provide results for my customers and it hurts my business badly.
SummaryLightroom Classic already provides special handling for Person keywords and allows GPS/location metadata to be removed during export. However, location information can also be stored in hierarchical keywords, and there is currently no way to identify these keywords as location information or selectively prevent sensitive locations from being exported.I would like Lightroom Classic to support two additional keyword classifications:Location Sensitive LocationThese classifications should integrate with Lightroom's hierarchical keyword system and export options. Why this is neededPhotographers often need to retain precise location information in their catalogue while deliberately withholding some or all of that information from exported images.Typical use cases include:protecting sensitive natural areas and habitats; protecting locations of endangered or vulnerable species; avoiding disclosure of fragile archaeological or cultural sites; locations on private or restricted property; l
hii copied my lightroom catalogue to an expernal encrypted usb-drive. I can’t open it directly on the external drive (because it is read-only) so i copied it on my notebook (windows). When i open it in Lightroom it updates the catalog (which works fine) and then opens it …. unfortunately not a single preview is shown although i also copied those files with the catalogue(yes, i did not take all original photos with me as i intended to do most work in the catalogue section (where the previews would be enough to have).can i somehow get those previews to be shown in the catalogue?
Is this a bug? After editing several images successfully - which included using ai masks and updating the ai settings - on one image I clicked the ai status "update all" and Lightroom Classic (v15.5) crashed with an unknown error. All GPU setting had been on Auto. Since then, the system freezes and eventually shuts down every time I try to use masking or any AI process whether or not GPU acceleration is on/custom or off. Therefore, I surmise it is not a Graphics Card issue (NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 Laptop GPU 32.0.16.1088, 8GB). I have tried updating the graphics card, doing a clean install of the graphics card, uninstalling / reinstalling LRC, adding NVIDIA Studio Driver, and even disabling the secondary intel graphics card that came with my system. Nothing has worked! My Catalogue is fine and my system meets all the recommended requirements. Someone please help.
Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select an Ai mask2. Move any of the Refinements sliders from form the current value to another one and back to the current value but NEVER releasing the slider.Actual Result: A step is recorded in history but nothing changed from step 1 and step 2, the value chosen in UI is the same.Expected Result: Moving AI masks "Feather" or "Edge" sliders DOES NOT record an history step when the UI value is the same as before.Addendum: There is floating point difference in the values when moving a slider back and forth to the same value but it should not matter.Feather at 30 Feather moved from 30 to 30 again
I’m shooting raw with an OM System OM-3 + 17mm f1.8 II. Regardless if import is by “Copy to DNG” or just “Copy”, the inbuilt profile is not read. Distortion is obvious. In OM Workspace, the profile is read. To get the correction, I need to go into Develop>Lens Correction and tick Enable Profile Corrections. It makes the correction. The dialogue box shows:Setup: DefaultMake: OM Digital SolutionsModel: OM 17mm F1.8 IIProfile: Camera SettingsI’ve never had this problem before, albeit with other OM gear. It usually shows an icon indicating that the inbuilt lens profile has been read.
I’m an enthusiastic amateur at using LRc, needing help. I have an external 4TB SSD which houses a few thousand images (over 3TB) and the associated catalogue files. I bought 2 x 6TB external SSDs and configured them in Raid 0 because the drive at Point 1 is nearing capacity. These were far cheaper than buying a larger single drive. I have copies of original images safely stored in the cloud. I’m about to go on a photography trip which I will need space for about another 2TB to 4TB. My goal is to move the current 4TB to the Raid Drive, and put the associated LRc files on my internal M4 Mac Mini. Despite reading up on and watching videos of helpful ‘stuff’, I'm not confident or clear how to undertake this 2-part transition correctly without at least one ‘wheel’ coming off. In summary, how do I effectively move my images to the external drive and move the catalogue files to my internal drive? Many thanks in advance for your help!
Every time I open a group of profiles in the profile browser, the thumbnails are much smaller than they should be. I prefer to use large thumbnails that should fill the entire width of the side panel. But they only fill about a third of it. I have to select one of the other view modes (Grid or List), and then go back to Large again, then they get the right size. But it's incredibly annoying that this happens every time I open a new group of profiles. It has been like this for a long time, and a new Mac and new updates to Lightroom have not solved the problem. Am I the only one experiencing this?
When I want to skip through hundreds or thousands of photos in Lightroom Classic (Version 15.0.1) in the film strip I mostly get this very annoying problem: after holding the arrow key to the right or left for a few seconds it doesn't stop anymore to speed through the images though I'm no more holding the arrow key. Sometimes it's going on for "just" a couple of hundred further photos and sometimes even through thousands of photos until the very last photo in the strip. I can't even stop it.This first started three months ago when I updated on a new MacBook. On my old Macbook this never happened in years. Does someone got an Idea to fix this bug?
Hello everyone! I am a travel food blogger, and I regularly take pictures of restaurant food for my website. I am currently using Lightroom to edit my photos, but I struggle with indoor restaurant lighting. The yellow/warm lights in restaurants often ruin the natural colors of the food. For example, I recently visited a fast-food chain to update my guide on the McDonald's menu prices in Poland and the indoor lighting made the food look very unappetizing in the raw photos.Does anyone have tips on how to color-correct harsh indoor restaurant lighting in Lightroom? Or any recommendations for a small, portable light I can carry in my bag? Thanks in advance!Aileen
Sometimes, maybe. 1 in 10 when I edit in another program, LR does not properly make a copy with Lightroom edits. It will sometimes even make the copy of a version prior to some final edits I made. It’s almost always. a much brighter version of what it should have done. You can look at the copy and original and they are not the same.
After importing images into Lightroom Classic and performing edits, then selecting Edit in Photoshop and it opens, the images do not retain the LR edits on them and are back to the RAW appearance (No edits applied). I have Uninstalled/Installed both LR & PS with saving preferences and also fully uninstalled/installed without retaining preferences. I have tried Using GPU acceleration and auto. Nothing seems to work. I have gone into so many posts relating to this issue. Windows 11 is up to date. GPU drivers are up to date. LR & PS are up to date. I have a travel laptop that works like it should with this workflow and I set every single preference and catalog setting in LR & PS the exact same and still the same result. I have also created a new (testing) catalog to see if it's a catalog issue but no fix either. The only thing that seems to go with the image is any object removal I have done. No color grading, masking ect.
Lightroom Classic 12.3 (and all previous versions of LrC while running Windows 11, as far as I can remember) Windows 11 (can't remember if it did this in Windows 10) Let's suppose I have only two applications open, Microsoft Word and my web browser. In windows, when I press Alt-Tab, I switch from one application to the other. If have three applications open, such as Word, Web Browser and E-mail program, Alt-Tab lets me move to the 2nd app and Alt-Tab twice lets me move to the 3rd app. All as expected. But if one of those applications open is Lightroom Classic, then Alt-Tab once keeps me in Lightroom Classic. Not expected. I have to Alt-Tab twice to move to the next application that is open. Not expected, and annoying. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there a way to fix this so Alt-Tab when I am in Lightroom Classic works as with any other application? Is this a bug?
Modern mobile devices run on ARM processors, and that is the future. Look at Apple. Please develop native ARM versions of Lightroom Classic and all other Adobe products. Even with the current version of LrC, it is impossible to take advantage of ARM-based AI for noise reduction! Noise reduction takes hours, despite using a fast Snapdragon processor. That is simply unacceptable. After all, you rewrote the software for Apple in record time—why not for Windows? Otherwise, I will be forced to switch to Luminar Neo, and I could replace Photoshop with Affinity; both run natively on ARM. Adobe is still relying on the outdated x86 architecture. I urge you to change this. ARM is many times faster than x86.Many thanks in advance!
Lightroom Classic 11.2 on MacOS Catalina 10.15.7. In the batch file renaming feature accessed through the hamburger icon to the right of the File Name field in the Library module, I often need to search and replace particular text. I don't see a way to, for example, replace "Jan1969-" with "1969-01-", which I wanted to do this week because I had improved my file naming system and wanted to update my old files' names. Even better would be to support entering an arbitrarily long list of replacements to make in one pass, with a "+" or "Add" button to add more "From" and "To", or "Old" and "New", boxes. For example, Old: Jan1969 New: 1969-01 Old: Feb1969 New: 1969-02 Old: Mar1969 New: 1969-03 A further enhancement to that feature would be to give either the whole list or each entry a pulldown like in the Library module Text Filter, specifying Contains, Starts With, or Ends With. I could actually benefit from a full-blown regular expression matcher,
