Lightroom Classic 11.2 on MacOS Catalina 10.15.7. In the batch file renaming feature accessed through the hamburger icon to the right of the File Name field in the Library module, I often need to search and replace particular text. I don't see a way to, for example, replace "Jan1969-" with "1969-01-", which I wanted to do this week because I had improved my file naming system and wanted to update my old files' names. Even better would be to support entering an arbitrarily long list of replacements to make in one pass, with a "+" or "Add" button to add more "From" and "To", or "Old" and "New", boxes. For example, Old: Jan1969 New: 1969-01 Old: Feb1969 New: 1969-02 Old: Mar1969 New: 1969-03 A further enhancement to that feature would be to give either the whole list or each entry a pulldown like in the Library module Text Filter, specifying Contains, Starts With, or Ends With. I could actually benefit from a full-blown regular expression matcher,
There is a scaling bug in the Profile Browser in the Develop Module. The star icons used to favorite profiles are ONLY visible when the Font Size (in Preferences) is set to 150%. If the Font Size is set to 'Medium' or 'Small', the right-hand panel cannot be dragged out or expanded far enough to reveal the star icons, causing them to be cut off. A "Photo Merge - HDR" menüt használva, 3 képet kijelölve, az összeszerkesztés nem fejeződik be. Ez a hiba a korábbi verziókban is előfordult, de nagyon ritkán. Most a legfrissebb verzióban, nagyon gyakori. Csak a programból való kilépés és újraindítás után tudom folytatni, és látom, hogy elkészült az összeszerkesztett kép, de továbbra is látva marad a 3.db. kép amiből összeszerkesztődött.

I want to switch light and color smoothly. Now the open and close in auto. I want to left the damn colorsection open on right side. also left side colapses by itself, even tho I have things to do there!. This is not a good update, you messed it up. Why would you change UI after a long time of use. not good.

Lightroom Classic 15.4.1, Windows. Cloud sync has been stuck for weeks: a batch of synced photos sits in "Loading" and the count never drops. While that happens, the Metadata/Keywording panel spins and won't show metadata when I navigate between photos (works briefly after opening the catalog, then breaks).Catalog is fine — keywords exist and I can filter by them, they just won't render in the panel. Synced images were in Mobile Downloads.lrdata inside OneDrive; I set a local path in Preferences → Lightroom Sync but the existing images never moved. No "All Sync Error" collection on the web.Already tried: reset preferences, rebuild previews, reinstall, resolve conflicts via "Overwrite settings", download OneDrive files locally. Haven't clicked "Delete synced data" since it warns it removes cloud metadata. Is this a known server-side sync stall? Any safe way to clear the stuck "Loading" queue and move synced images out of OneDrive without losing keywords? Thanks!

When the same HDR AVIF or HDR JPEG is viewed on macOS, Apple Photos, Quick Look and Flow Vision adapt the highlight rendering as display brightness changes, while Lightroom Classic and Camera Raw keep rendering highlights much more directly. Is Lightroom intentionally bypassing Apple's system HDR photo rendering (EDR/tone mapping), or is there a preference to use the macOS HDR rendering pipeline?

Hello Everyone!I am new to lightroom, but I like the software until it slows down my whole gaming laptop and using upto 32GB of RAM. While working on simple JPG files, I don’t experience issues until I work with CR3 or DNG files. The problem occours when I have to use more features, such as blur lens, or masking tools. It slows down the whole PC so much I have to restart the sofware and sometimes it is simply crash.Adobe software require nuclear power to keep it run? Just because it is impossible that my gaming platform can’t run this sofware when all other softwares and games runs smoothly. Only this software made me a big surprise as it uses brutal amount of RAM storage, while I raised the virtual memory to 64GB. Huge dissapointment from Adobe that this problem can not be resolved.Otherwise, it would be very useful.Thank you if you have any better idea to make the performance better.
I cannot create a file on the external disc like saving my pictures year 2024. I tried to pick and slide 2024 file to the external disc, nothing happen.
Current version of Lightroom lacks proper emulation tools to mimic analogue photography.I would love to see these tools in a dedicated Film Emulation panel;-Film Stock presets like for example; Kodak Portra 400 and CineStill 800T-Bloom and Glow-Accurate Halation-Simulated film grain -Lab ScansThere are different plugins that can achieve those things but it would be great to have these features build-in to save time and cost.A good example of this is Davinci Resolve and its “film look creator” tool where you have all of these options in a single tab.I find myself editing in Lightroom and then sending the finished photos to Davinci just to add bloom and halation and then back again to Lightroom to export them with my usual workflow settings.Having all of that directly in Lightroom would be amazing and many of us woud really appreciate it!Thanks.
the rest of the Lightroom functions seems ok except the when using the generative remove. it just freeze when reaches 100%. the problem just started today.
I often find that Lightroom Classic sync to the Adobe Cloud gets stuck uploading images.Removing the offending images and from sync and all synced images usually clears the issue, however I can repeat the issue.Add some previously un-synced images (mine are usually new imports) to a collection and let them sync - wait for the icon to stop spinning and turn green. Remove some of the images from the collection Then immediately add some of those removed back into the collectionThe added images just added back in to the collection just sit in an 'uploading' state. I have left them trying for hours.I have observed on occasion that LrC will remove the newly added images from the local collectionI occasionally make a mistake and change my mind about images I've removed from collections so add them back.I have done the above steps several times now and find the results consistent.
I've owned an R5 not long after it released and since then I've had color profile issues with lightroom classic and my CR3 files. I've had the common issue of RAW files looking washed out using the Adobe Standard color profile so I had ended up switching to Fidelity a few years ago which helped improve the images but they still never looked quite right and I just dealt with it being that way. More recently I tried experimenting with the newer Camera matching profiles and I didn't like the way they looked either. Recently I started looking at my older images when I was using a 6D and I couldn't believe how great the colors and contrast looked in my photos. So as a test I setup both cameras and tested the 6D using the Adobe Standard profile (where it looked great with wonderful contrast, colors, and skin tones.) and the R5 using every profile available profile and none of them looked as nice as the 6D with the default Adobe Standard profile. I cou
“Lightroom can’t import this catalog because of an unexpected error” I shot a festival last weekend, did some on site editing on my laptop. Now i want to import the festival catalog to my main one. specs of the main one and the festival match, they’re both:Lightroom Classic-versie: 15.5 [ 202607291506-b8869fa7 ]Licentie: Creative CloudI can open both catalog on my computer i can optimize them, close one, open the other all without problem. So they both seem to be working. I’ve put them in the same folder. So in folder x is a folder current catalog and a folder festival catalog. But everytime i click File → import from a different catalog, i select the festival catalog and immediately i get the error “Lightroom can’t import this catalog because of an unexpected error”. Somebody who can advise me?
I have been away from my computer for over 6 months, and when I returned, after my 1st shoot, I tried to import a small amount of photos (only 207), and convert to DNG. But while the files seem to be on my catalog now, the progress bar is stuck on the ‘building smart previews’ function. I left it running last night and just ejected my CF card, because I needed it for a shoot today. Today (24+hrs later) I’m doing a 2nd import, and the smart previews from yesterday still aren’t built, and now I have to do another import of today’s shoot, so there’s 3 progress bars running, with no end in sight for yesterday’s import. How do I get the imports to complete fully, and stop getting stalled or bogged down at the build smart previews stage?
PHOTOSHOP OPENS AND WORKS FINE BUT LIGHTROOM CLASSIC WILL NOT OPEN
Hi, since the last update of LRC it changes the “date created” and the date “last modified” to the time of ‘now’ when I export my RAW’s to JPG’s. Before the update I had no problems, I have searched through a lot of settings and preferences, but I can not figure out what has changed. I’ve read some old posts regarding this topic, but I still don’t know what to do. Can someone please help?
I’m not sure how feasible this would be, given the differences between Lightroom and Lightroom Classic, but I would love to see features such as Generative Enhance and Generative Extend, that are already within Lightroom added to Lightroom Classic. Personally it is always exciting to see announcements about new AI powered tools that can enhance an image natively or generatively extend its boundaries, like most recently when I saw on my instagram from Lightroom a new feature had been pushed for border extension, I was so happy to see that, but that excitement quickly turns into disappointment when I realize those features are available only in Lightroom and not in Lightroom Classic.Could Adobe please bring these capabilities to Lightroom Classic as well?I have always described Lightroom as an excellent option for quick, on the go editing, beginner friendly editing, while Lightroom Classic provides greater control, functionality, and precision needed for a more advanced editing workflow.
Sliders for the new mask feather/edge seem quite sensitive. Was wondering if there were any keyboard shortcuts available which would allow nudging the sliders a step at a time?

As soon as I import, “fetching previews” is stuck. No previews show. I have tried updating, restarting the computer and the application, and going to the catalog settings- face detection was not checked/address lookup not checked / culling not checked.
