Hi everyone,I'm a photographer and recently started working on a MacBook Pro. I use Lightroom for editing, and everything looks great on my screen and phone. However, I'm running into an issue when I print my photos (not using a home printer, but a professional printing service): the prints come out looking very orange. When I try to fix this by lowering the saturation or adjusting the temperature before exporting, the printed photos end up looking too washed out, white, or yellowish compared to how they appear on my laptop.I'm exporting my files in sRGB color space. Has anyone else experienced this issue, or does anyone know what might be causing it and how to fix it?Thanks so much in advance for your help!
To cut a long story short, I discovered why my C Drive on my Windows 10 PV has become almost full and it was because there were over 300Gb worth of Appdata/Adobe/CRLogs/Dumps files.I found these in both the Appdata/Roaming folder and the Appdata/LocalLow folder. As the Roaming folder is not relevant to my set up, I deleted the Dump files yesterday and freed up over 90GB of space on my C Drive.I'm also going to delete the LocalLow Dump files, which as you can see from the attached, occupy 213Gb ! What I want to know is why Adobe clearly has not resolved the issue (supposedly, according to other threads) in 2022. I had the impression that the Dump files are auto deleted after a certain period of time. I might add that one of my friends has no such issues on his Windows 10 PC in his Adobe CRLogs folders ! Be interested tou hear of your experiences with this issue. Thanks.
ISSUE: When Importing RAW photos from SD Card 15% to 20% of photos become corrupted. This is consistently the case. When opening the RAW files from the SD Card direct into Adobe Photoshop 24.1.1 the images are perfect and can then be imported into Lightroom Classic. I have tried various cards with the same result. After updating LR Classic to version 14.3, the "update" button in the Transform panel stopped working after using the settings from the previous photo. Transform remains wrong even after selecting a different option (vertical instead of auto, etc.) and the Update button remains white. MacOS 15.4.1, LRC 14.3
Hello, I recently used the Anyvision plugin to tag numbers during a big rally raid in Morocco. Now afterwards I encounter a very big problem. The Photographer I work for imported my catalog together with the catalogs from all the other photographers. My automatic tag numbers are in a subfolder called ' Anyvision' and 'Bike numbers' instead of directly in the catalog under the corresponding number.. Only the pictures I manually tagged are correct. Selecting all the pictures in the subfolders folder and mass renaming them from for instance 'Bike numbers 142' to '142' so pictures are in the right folder does not work.. My catalog is around 10.000 pictures so I hope you have a solution otherwise the pictures will have to be retagged manually.. I added two screenshots first how the structure is from the auto tagged photo's and second how it needs to be for my phototeam owner. Please help! Thanks, Gilbert Van Echelpoel
GAng I have LRC 14.3.1 installed and I have RAW files and also sidecar XMP files. But without editing files etc, LRC is Recreating Exisiting xmp files. up to 14k Is this a auto thing? Why does LRC do this?
This has been going on for more than a year. Any hope in the future? MacOS Sequoia 15.4LrC 14.2
I am getting a pop up with bad index offset array with only option to press OK, book module does not run after that. It works fine on both my other windows 11 laptop and MacBook? [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]
Hello, LRC 14.3 Windows 11.New PC. I notice when LR doing export / import actions it opens the Windows Terminal (DOS prompt). It gives an annoying delay.I tried export to a HDD, and to a SSD, same issue. LR is at my 2nd screen and the Terminal windows popups very fast at the 1st screen. Switching screens did solved the the issue. I did reintall LR. etc.I google but can not find a solution. Any suggestions? Thanks
Not sure if this is a Lightroom Classic bug or OS, but running Lightroom Classic 14.3.1 (It's happened with earlier versions too) on Mac OS Sequoia 15.4.1)I usually ingest my photos to my Macbook M1, and edit there - then when the edit is complete and I've uploaded them to my website ready for my clients, it's time for me to move the photos to my archive, on a QNAP NAS, via Thunderbolt and the SMB protocol.. The problem is that there have been a number of times now when I click the folder in the library 'Folders' pane, dragging it to the relevant folder (still within Lightroom Classic Folders pane, but to the network drive), it'll start moving the files - then the Macbook reboots.. no warnings, just kernal panic and restarts, then says it restarted because of an error. I'll paste the error report below - but just to add, it only happens when moving the folder within Lightroom Classic.. using Finder, I've never had this restart the computer... I'd prefer to keep
Couldn't find a link to post a new topic. I am transfering my photo editing from a PC desktop to a PC laptop and from Win 10 to 11. I intend to keep all my photos on an external drive with LR Classic on the laptop's C: drive. What's the best way to port my catalog over to the new laptop so it points to my new removable drive? I have a pretty good-sized catalog: around 100,000 files. M. H. Pitt [Mod: Branched from an existing thread]
After updating to the new LRC version of 14.3 , I am unable to copy pics from SD card nor add pics to the new catalog. LRC is not responding. There is no problem with the system, Mac Os sequoia 15.4.1. Kindly help [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]
I have a folder called Photographs on a drive with all subfolders. That main folder used to show up and I could right clic, create a new folder inside, then import. The Photos folder is no longer there.Am I missing something obvious? It's been awhile. Sequoia 15.4.1M1 Mac
I’d love to see a built-in way to add or edit lens metadata in Lightroom for images shot with analog cameras or with uncoded lenses on digital bodies (e.g. third-party lenses for Leica M). Right now, the only options are clunky third-party tools or workarounds that aren’t integrated into my Lightroom workflow. This feature would be a huge help for photographers who regularly shoot film or use third-party glass on digital cameras. I’m not looking for anything overly complex—just a simple way to tag lens make, model, and focal length. Perhaps Adobe could add a metadata field to indicate when EXIF data was changed manually. I know some folks enjoy hacking EXIF data with command-line tools or plugins, but I’m not that kind of geek. I'd really appreciate a user-friendly solution within Lightroom Classic or Lightroom CC. Thanks for considering it!
I am using Lightroom Classic for a while and after latest Lightroom Update if I select Auto or Custom in Edit>Preferences>Use graphic processor then Lightroom will freeze or crash a few second after I open it or start edit photos. My system is: Mainbaord: Asus Tuf Gaming 650m-plus CPU: AMD Ryzen 7700X RAM 64GB Windows 11 64XDrivers and Windows are all up to dates I have done steps below: 1- Restarted machine 2- Tried to update all drivers include GPU, mainbaord and Windows 3- Disabled the built in GPU (It get worse and start lagging from begining and then crash) 4- Reinstalled Lightroom 5- Reinstalled Lightroom on another partition 6- Increased the cache to 100GB 7- Use smart preview instead of originals for image editing ticked and unticked both the same 8- Generate preview in parallel ticked and unticked both the same 9- By disabling the "Use graphic processor" then it will work and I think it's usi
In the video instructions “work with lightroom CC on multiple computers” they gave the impression that images on my main PC also will also be accessible on my second pc.However, in the comment on the faq’s about synchronization in Lightroom Classic, they mention that only images that are part of a collection are visible and editable on different computers… ?My question is: can I access and edit the images that are stored in my NAS drive om my 2 different computers even when they are not part of a collection? And if that is possible, how should I synchronize these images in lightroom classic?
Thank you for the update to Classic 14.3.1. However, since this update, which I did half an hour ago, I've been unable to export any images. When I hit the export button in the export dialogue, all that happens is the final action, which is opening a Finder is executed.
Hi! Is Lightroom Classic already fully compatible with macOS Sequoia? Thank you!
Hello,I don't understand why Library menu (here Bibliothèque in french) is cut on the left. Even after removing/reinstalling LrC... Does anyone have an idea why and how to make it appear properly? Working on up to date MacOS Sequoia 15.4.3 M3 MBA, also not depending on LrC version (bug there before and after last update) Thanks a lot!
Needing to manually move my mouse back and forth from an image I'm working on to enable and disable the "Use Generative AI" checkbox is a waste of time. Seeing as how this is a feature that shouldn't be used all the time for tiny spot remove, it should be easier to disable and re-enable with a keystroke. I do this often from image to image and while working within one image. Enabling and disabling this feature is one of the most often things I do within the remove tool that doesn't already have a shortcut. It's also a tiny box to click, which adds to the time waste as it has to be accurately clicked on.Also, it now doesn't appear to be possible to change a brush strokes using "Use Generative AI" to normal "Remove" after painting but before clicking "Generate". Sometimes I will begin painting with the remove brush, not remembering that "Use Generative AI" is checked. However, I realize that it's not needed for a small correction and the wait time for the AI to work is unnecessary for th
I keep my Lightroom catalogs and RAW files on external drives. I then export a version of the catalog with smart previews to my editor so she can finish the edits I start. In the interim of waiting on her edits to come back, my drive has malfunctioned/ died. I have an exact replica of the drive (thanks to carbon copy cloner). When I download the edited Lightroom catalog from my editor of smart previews, how do I link this with the new RAW files source folder on the replica drive?! Is this possible?
When using masks, I often see an orange/red dot under the mask tool icon indicting that I need to update the masks. I then have to hunt through the various masks I've created to find the masks that need updating. Sometimes there's several, and sometimes not all of them need updating. Each one requires several clicks and it turns into a scavenger hunt. There should be a simple "Update All Masks" button as soon as you enter the mask tool. The way it works now is a befundling time waste in an application that's focused on batch processing. This change can't come soon enough. Thanks!
We're happy to announce the release of Lightroom Classic 14.3.1! Not sure what's going on here. I've never found LrC to be super fast with how it handles importing photos but it's gotten a lot worse lately. While playing around with an import tonight I was getting 50 MB/s for the transfer speed. Taking the same folders and importing them with windows explorer: >600 MB/s. I can't seem to find what I've done for this to happen. CF Express cards via thunderbolt card reader, Windows 10, LrC 14.3. Here's the kicker. I'm not sure this is just a LrC issue. I tried using Photo Mechanic and am getting similar speeds. Thoughts?
