I have been using LR Classic without problems up until the other day. It will not allow me to import photos, optimize, and I have to close by force quit. running 14.0.1. I have uninstalled and reinsatlled and have also created another catalog and I am able to import there with no problems. Any and all suggestions will be helpful. thanks Joyce
Como importar Catalogos do LR no Mac Pro 2011, para o LR 14 no Mac Air m3?
HiI have just updated my macOS system to Sequoia on my Macbook Air 2020 (1.2GHz Quad Core Intel i/). After that, I updated the new Lightroom Classic Version to 14. When opening this it immediately starts crashing when wanting to upgrade my Lightroom Catalog. I have restarted everything several times, but am now a bit helpless in getting it to work.Does anyone know what the issue could be? I need to be able to work with it and start regretting having done the upgrade. Thank you.
LR Classic (latest version) on Mac 14.7.1.Was trying to do some cleanup in Lightroom Classic today, and discovered that the LrC Sync seems to be extremely buggy. I had not been doing sync at all (paused) for many versions of LrC and wanted to start "blank". So what I did was to disable sync on the collections, delete everything in Lightroom Web (delete the images), remove the images from "All synced images" in LrC. If I then enabled sync for one of the collection agian, I observed that it would use a lot of time, and then suddenly all pictures from the Collection was removed. The files were still there - they were just removed from the collection. Did some more testing by creating a new collection and including some of the "old images" together with some new images that had never been synced before. The new images synced fine, but the old images would never appear in Lightroom Web or on the phone. So e.g. if I created a new collection with 10 images, where 6 were old (pre
Hi, I am having the issue where I cannot export any images from my library. The export bar does nothing.
When importing from some folders, Lightroom gets stuck with the text "importing", but nothing happens. All photos are jpg files. Until now I was using an old version of LR and bought LRC 14.0.1. and when starting, the catalog was updated to the new version and for a while the import worked and it only froze for some folders, now it does for all. I have Windows 10 on my PC. Please advise what to do with it. In this state, the program is unusable for me.
Where did it go? No check box in preferences to turn on or off and nothing that I can see in the View Menu. Thanks. Mac 15.1.1, LR 14.0.1
So I'm going to try and make this as short as possible.I have been using LrC on multiple machines ( Mac and PC ) for a few years now.Usually I do all my heavy lifting on my Mac Machines ( Mac Studio with M1Max 32gb RAM and Macbook Pro with M1Pro 16gb RAM ). I usually edit about 2000-3000 photos per session ( mostly weddings ).I always use a Midi Controller to go through my photos and edit them pretty fast. I have my preset applied at import and everything works fine on LrC 12.5.2 ( last of the 12 ).Whenever I updated to ANY of the 13 versions ( and I've tried them ALL ) - editing and jumping back/forth through my images in Develop module slowed down considerably. There is DEFINITELY more lag jumping to next photos in line and is very annoying. The same goes for both the Mac Studio and Macbook Pro. Everytime there was a new v13 release I updated to it to try it out ( hoping the problem is solved ) but it never did so I always had to go back to the 12.5.2 ( using Other Version in the Cre
If you export the same image with the same settings, but output to AVIF and than JPG XL, the headroom values of both images will be different. Example: AVIF = 15.419 JPG XL = 4.926 The image was the same edit for both exports, everything was the same except for the format. Maximize Compatibility was turned off, so gain maps were not added. AVIF headroom seems to vary per image, while JPG XL is the same for all exported images. Preview.app with macOS Sequoia will show the headroom for each image. I left my Macbook last night with Lightroom open, but completely idle. No background tasks whatsoever, no exporting metadata or anything like that..just completely idle. Came to it this morning and the Macbook was hot to touch.. really unusual as it's a Macbook M1 Max, 64gb RAM, 2tb SSD, Mac OS 14.5 and rarely breaks into a sweat. I checked activity monitor and saw the CPU usage for Lightroom was over 400%... this is abnormal, when it's idle, surely??I've quit Lightroom now and the computer has noticably cooled down in just 5 minutes as I write this..
I bought this program years ago and I just saw a video where they have a de-noise setting on the latest update. I try updating and it says I'm up to date but it's only version 6. Do pc programs not get updates?
Dear Adobe Community: System: Mac Mini OS Sequoia 15.1.1 Lots of RAM and room on 5TB HD., the import destination.Ever since I upgraded to latest OS, I've been unable to import photos from iPhone 13 Pro to LR Classic 14.0.1I go through the steps but then nothing happens when I click on "Import"...The progress bar in upper left corner just shows no progress at all.Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be going on?Thanks,Frank
When I import an Aperture 3.6 library to Lightroom Classic 14.0.1 using the import plugin, Aperture Faces does not show up as Keywords.Using a MacBook Pro with M4Pro and MacOS Sequoia 15.1.1
I am using LR Classic on MacOS and just moved my catalog to an external SSD in order to free up space on the MacBook system drive. I did the move with LR closed. I simply copied the entire folder that contained the library to the new location. I then double-clicked the catalog file in the new location to launch LR. This worked fine. I was able to browse my files, etc. with no errors. I closed and then reponed LR to make sure it was still referencing the new location and it was. I then proceeded to import some images from a memory card as normal. This worked fine. I made some minor changes to those files and then went to export those images, but the moment I clicked the Export button in the Library module, I get this error: Unable to Export - Source file(s) are offline or missing. The only problem is, the files are not missing and not offline. Nothing else on my system changed. I dont get it. Can some help with this
Hello all, I've been using LR on Mac then Pc for years. Always with the one catalogue being moved from hard drive to new hard drive (and photos on external drive) I currentley have about 50,000 images on an internal 4tb hard drive in my pc and one catalogue on my c drive in my pc..(Both backed up on external drives along with a Cat backup too) I have just bought a laptop to do all my photography work on going forward. I also bought 2 Sandisk 4tb external hard drives. The idea here is to move the current photos folder to one of these new external hard drives and to move the catalogue to the c drive on my laptop. The second new external 4tb hard drive is for some free space going forward. Things I need help with/understanding - 1) (Please see attached screen shot of my Catalogue) Why is my Catalogue folder so full of files? It's also 107GB in size. Is this overlap from the various moves to different computers? Can anything be safley deleted from here? Any suggestions t
I inadvertently moved the lrcat file to my NAS where all my images are stored. Lightroom had a fit when I next opened it, so I moved it back. That didn't solve the issue and now I get a "The folder could not be found error." All my images are stored on an NAS and are still there. How do I point Lightroom to the images? Also, if I'm going to lose all the edits I've done over the years, can I take this opportunity to reorganize my folder of images into something that makes more sense compared to how I haphazardly did it originally?
My father teaches lightroom to a group of fellow seniors. He's been complaining that his laptop doesn't have enough memory to run Lightroom efficiently and project on screen and stuff. In case you couldn't tell from the word "stuff", I am most definitely not a lightroom user or a computer geek. I could definitely use some help. I'd like to get him an exceptional machine and read that gaming laptops are usually really good for Lightroom. Looking at the Omen Transcend 14" by HP. I would appreciate any and all thoughts. Just want to get this right. It's my dad. Hi there. Ive been working my 2019 Intel MBP pretty hard over the years. Its ability to quickly read and edit images in LRC (and PS), has been faultering for a while now. I work in a few disciplines of photography but the core of my work has me needing to analyze and cull and tweak anything up to and over 3000 raw files at times. Like many people right now i am eyeing the new Mini and not having been in the M-Chip/Unified memory game yet i find myself lacking in tech knowledge as to what the best conficyuration would be to get the best results without overspending in unnecessary areas. I've read a few conflicting articles about what the best way to go is. When buying a Mac, i'm finding myself always checking every box. The mac that started off as a very reasonable $999 cranks up to $7k at checkout lol I usually try to get max HD/SSD when i can to begin with but I'd appreciate any thoughts in this community as to what is important to get the best and grun

I'm running LR Classic V 13.4 on Windows 10. When I try to import from a card in my camera (I have two), the import dialog begins to show the photos on the card, then it crashes LR. I can import from my computer HD without issue and Windows file explorer can access my cards without issue. Disabling the GPU doesn't help. Thanks!Elia
Hello Lightroom community, I did something foolish a long time ago and it's just become a problem. Years back when I started using Lightroom, I set it up on my H: drive. I created a folder there called 'Pictures' and then (don't ask my why) I created inside that folder another folder called 'Pictures' in which lived my 'Lightroom' folder (where the catalogues and backups live) and the 'MY LIGHTROOM PHOTOS' folder (with all the images in dated folders). For years that worked fine, despite my folder structure error. Now I've just moved to a new PC - with great care. I have a new H: drive and transferred the old H: drive structure into it. When I loaded up Lightroom Classic, all my images were there - deep joy. However, just yesterday, when I tried to import some new images for the first time, I was given this message: The destination folder "H:\Pictures\MY LIGHTROOM PHOTOS" is not available. Using "Pictures" folder instead. Please can someone help me
Since updating LR to 14.0.1 and Mac OS to 15.1 - i've had hanging/ crash and performances issues when working with LR wit the message of your system has run out of memory., Here's my set up Apple Mac Studio - M1 Ultra 64GB RAM Activity monitor is saying its using 150 GB of RAM ! Should only be a max of 5GB- What's going on ADOBE?
I have an issue when using LR Classic on my MacBook Air, in that when I first open LR, it works fine. But as I continue using, each click of the mouse brings up the spinning circle for several seconds, then even longer. Then eventually, my entire laptop freezes with a message that I am using too much memory & I have to Force Quit LR.LR is version 14.0.1. Computer is Somoma 14.5, 8 GB memory, 250 GB free storage space. Activity Monitor showing approx 37 % cpu usage as LR is open but sitting idle. (DOing nothing, it just jumoed up to 53% usage) Showing 28 GB memory. THe only item that shows more cpu usage is "kernal task" whatever that is. THe program is just very difficult to use this way. I haven't even gotten to download Photoshop yet considering how much of a hog (?) LR C is.
I read that Adobe had finally made the updates so I could tether with my Nikon Z9 using Lightroom, so I tried it for the first time last week and found it to be incredibly unreliable. It literally disconnected every 1-2 frames and then I'd have to wait for it to find the connected camera before I could shoot again. I'd then take 1-2 frames and go throiugh it all over again. I'm using a Macbook Pro M1 and a Tether Tools cord. Any siuggestions or fixes for this issue?
