Is it possible to create a Searchable Prompt in Lightroom Classic to select all files with specified maximum dimensions or file size?
Hello, I often use masking to brighten up a place in the photo, especially for portrait pictures. I always start by selecting the outline of the place I want, except that unfortunately Lightroom Classic doesn’t offer (or maybe a secret function?) to be able to fill the inside of the selection. Because it would save valuable minutes on retouching since I’m not a fan of the automatic skin detection tool. (I often have strange effects on the contours of faces, arms, hands when the background is not the same color. Which is understandable when the colors are a bit similar). I can take about 15 minutes or more for some masks to fill the inside. And even by removing the gradual outline of the brush, to fill the inside and go faster, I often end up with small unpainted spots (setting the exposure to +2.00 to check the entire mask). This option would allow me and could allow us Lightroom users a huge saving of editing time in photography. And as a professional photographer, this time saving is
I am experiencing a repeatable startup failure in Lightroom Classic 15.4.1 on macOS Tahoe 26.5.2. Lightroom never progresses past the splash screen and remains indefinitely at “Reading Preferences.”The application does not crash or generate an error message—it simply hangs.Environment:Lightroom Classic: 15.4.1 macOS: Tahoe 26.5.2 Hardware: Apple Silicon Mac Adobe Creative Cloud: Current versionSteps to Reproduce:Launch Lightroom Classic 15.4.1. Splash screen appears. Startup stops at “Reading Preferences.” Lightroom never completes startup.Expected Result:Lightroom Classic should complete initialization and open normally.Actual Result:Lightroom remains indefinitely at “Reading Preferences” and must be Force Quit.Troubleshooting Performed:Uninstalled and reinstalled Lightroom Classic. Confirmed Creative Cloud is installed and signed in. Reset Lightroom preferences using the keyboard shortcut. Deleted Lightroom preference files manually. Removed Lightroom support files. Restarted the Mac
I'm seeing a very strange Lightroom Classic issue and would appreciate any ideas.Lightroom Classic: 15.2.1OS: Windows 11SymptomsThe photos definitely exist in the catalog. I can find them under All Photographs. I can edit them normally. Show in Explorer opens the correct local folder. If I try to import the same file again, Lightroom correctly reports:"This photo has already been imported."However, when I select that folder in the Folders panel:Lightroom displays "No Photos in Folder". The folder badge still shows the correct number of photos. The status bar at the bottom says 0 photos.Example:Folder 2010 shows 6 photos. Subfolders 07 and 09 each show 1 photo. Selecting any of these folders displays no photos at all.Additional observationsGo to Folder in Library from a photo found in All Photographs doesn't jump to the folder. Instead Lightroom starts "Analyzing Photos" and appears to hang indefinitely. Running Synchronize Folder produced this internal error: UNIQUE constraint failed:A
A while back I wanted to make more space on an external HD and foolishly deleted 5 years worth of travel photos, thinking that I had copies elsewhere. Apparently not 🤔.Since then I’ve relied on previews of those deleted originals, sometimes upscaling them to produce full-screen sized digital memories.I’ve been reluctant to delete old catalogs, thinking that the current catalog references them when displaying previews of the deleted original photos. Those old catalogs now occupy Squillagigs of drive space. Can I safely delete them and still be able to access all previews?

I have seen posts from as far back as 2011 asking this same question and it is astounding to me that LrC doesn’t have the ability to batch re-name files using string substitution. So it appears my options are: create a naming template that will overwrite the part of the filename that I want to keep, or rename them in Bridge the way I want and then re-import them into LrC. Anyone else have a way to accomplish a batch rename that allows for a simple find and replace?

when trying to use presets I'm getting the error saying some AI models are downloading please try again later. This is making the program unusable.
I recently transferred Mac’s. My light room pictures transfer but not my light room classes. None of the pictures or presets. I need those presets for my business. They should have been stored in your cloud but have not. Do better.
I cannot get my lightroom to open.I first noticed an issue when Lightroom Classic was not resuming at the previous pictures but returned to a picture edited some days ago, however in other respects everything seemed to be working. This may have started after the last update. It first failed to load after I had done a backup. I tried loading this backup and then a previous one but kept getting corupt catalogue message.I eventually got a backup from June 5th to load, though the catalouge had to be updated to the new format before appearing to open and operate correctly. However on closing the program it would not open again.Since then I have reset preferences and reinstalled lightroom from the adobe creative cloud app, all without any change.Today I launched the reinstalled Lightroom with a new empty catalogue and imported an old catalogue (over 500000 pictures). It took some hours but after it loaded photos and then loaded masks it did open and appeared to function correctly. However,
Hi everyone,I’ve been experiencing an ongoing issue with Adobe Lightroom Classic, currently on version 15.2. This problem has been happening for the last three updates, not just this latest one. After importing RAW files, the thumbnails do not appear in the Library module. The folder and total file count display correctly, but the preview area remains blank. The only workaround that consistently works is fully restarting Lightroom. Once I relaunch the program, all thumbnails appear normally.System details: Lightroom Classic version: 15.2 Computer: Apple M3 Pro Memory: 18GB RAM GPU acceleration: Set to Auto File type: RAW “Generate previews in parallel”: Enabled Storage: [internal SSD or external drive] This happens every time after import. Restarting fixes it temporarily, but having to do that after every import is not practical.Has anyone else experienced this over the last few updates? Is this a known issue with Apple Silicon machines? Is there a more permanent solution besid
When the same HDR AVIF or HDR JPEG is viewed on macOS, Apple Photos, Quick Look and Flow Vision adapt the highlight rendering as display brightness changes, while Lightroom Classic and Camera Raw keep rendering highlights much more directly. Is Lightroom intentionally bypassing Apple's system HDR photo rendering (EDR/tone mapping), or is there a preference to use the macOS HDR rendering pipeline?
Description of IssueAfter Assist Culling (and Face Detection) analysis for a catalog reaches100% complete, quitting Lightroom Classic normally (File > Quit, not acrash/force-quit) and relaunching causes the "remaining photos toanalyze" counter to jump back up — i.e. photos that were alreadyanalyzed are treated as unanalyzed again. Hi, I’m using macOS 12.7.6 (Monterey) and the latest Lightroom Classic isn’t supported on my system.I have an active Adobe account and I’m also a student.Could you please help me access or provide a download link for Lightroom Classic 11, which is compatible with Monterey?Thank you very much!
Metadata fields provide an opportunity to liberate us from the difficulties of using the file system (filenames and directories) for sorting and searching. The Lightroom sort options should take advantage of this. I would particularly like to sort on the Title and Caption fields, and to use multiple sort criteria, as in Sort by Title and then by Capture Time.
Hoping someone can help! I have used Lightroom for 7+ years and this has never happened until yesterday… After I imported a session into Lightroom, I realized all the photos are extremely overexposed from how I shot them. When I open the RAW file outside of Lightroom, it is exposed the way I shot it (Pictures for reference). I shot these with the same Camera I’ve used for years (6D Mark ii) and use Lightroom all the time and have never had this happen to me until yesterday. I have googled, YouTubed, and attempted everything I could find, but nothing has fixed it. So I’m hoping someone here can help!! Also for reference I have tried rolling back to an older version of Lightroom… I have tried purging my cache… I have made sure I don’t have a preset turned on when importing… I have looked under preferences at camera defaults… Desperately trying to finish sessions, so all help and suggestions are appreciated!
I was using Lightroom Classic, hovered over the Adaptive:Sky drop down menu and it crashed. When I re opened it had reset itself to Default, every menu had to be reopened and it will not allow me to save an image as a jpg, I only get jpeg2000 and jpeg XL in the menu, I do not have any unflattened layers.
I store all of my images in a LR catalog. That’s how I was taught to do it. I can access certain years of photos based on my hard drives, labeled LR1, LR2 and so on. My first catalog is from 2010. However, when LR says it cannot open my catalog unless I update I have been doing so. Now, when I go to open catalogs on older hard drives, I can’t! Please help. I just need access to my photos. TIA!
Hi I have recently migrated my catalogue from a very old version of lightroom to the most recent but even though the program knows where the files are located it is not showing any previews of my images, just greyed out boxes. I have tried deleting the preview files held but that hasn’t worked. I have also tried changing the colour space but that hasn’t worked either. Please help! Just starting today the Map module is leaving behind markers for a photo or photos that have been moved. It also continues to show markers for photos that have been opened but are no longer in the directory being worked in. If I leave LRC and come back in, all is well but I've never had to do this before. It is more of an annoyance than a major issue, but it does clutter up my screen while moving things. I am in the process of locating old photos that have inaccurate or no geotagging and this behavior is slowing me down. I’m running 15.3 on a MacBook Air. Has anyone else seen this or have a suggestion of how to fix this behavior?
In LRC, I have many hierarchical keyword structures, amongst which are locations, i.e. Country/State/City and in some cases location or street name. Since version 15.4.1, LRC deletes upper level location keywords (Country and State, or when there's a fourth level then it deletes the city too) after a photo has been synced to the cloud. The keywords still exist in the cloud. I have checked other hierarchical trees and the keywords are all syncing correctly. If I reenter the locations the save metadata to file, the keywords once again disappear.I'm running LRC 15.4.1 on a Windows 11 Pro computer with Admin rights. Lightroom, catalog and photos are all on (separate) local nvme ssds. Plenty of space, plenty of speed.
