I am using Lightroom Classic on my GPD Pocket 3 running Windows 10 and last year i noticed the touch interface icon vanished from the bottom left corner above the scrolling galery. Did this feature get removed at some point? Is there a key combination to activate it? Previously it just worked, i didn't even had to activate tablet mode. The GPD Pocket 3 is a convertible Laptop/Lablet powered by an i7 1195G7 with the current Windows 10 and LRc installed.
I am trying to open my lightroom classic. And I get a message that there was an error and cannot open. The warning message tells me that the preview cache paths would exceed the maximum path length for my platfom. I'm clueless. What do I do to fix this?
I've recently had to import all my images from the previous 10 years (200,000+ images) to a new catalog, because the old one became impossible to use (that's a whole other story, I'll spare you the details). In doing so, of course I lost everything I had in the cloud (I had synced over 120,000 previews to the cloud). No big deal because I have the originals on my hard drive, but I still need to have access to them from my mobile devices and on the web, so I need to re-add them to the cloud. I haven't had any success in doing so with my new catalog. I keep getting sync error messages, and now everything seems stuck. It's stuck in an endless loop of trying to sync but nothing's happening. I tried pausing and unpausing, I've tried deleting all synced data and restarting, I've tried rebuilding sync data... nothing. I don't know what to do anymore. I'm considering starting a new account with Adobe, and connecting my catalog to this new account... but it
In Adobe Lightroom Classic, when adjusting the White Balance of an already-edited photo in the Develop module using the keyboard arrow keys, then switching to Library mode using the keyboard shortcut, all visible adjustments disappear from the preview. Upon returning to the Develop module, all the sliders are reset to their default positions, and the image appears unedited. However, the edit history remains intact, showing all previous adjustments. Clicking on any entry in the edit history temporarily restores the correct preview of the photo corresponding to that specific entry. Restarting Lightroom resolves the issue, and the photo reappears with the correct adjustments applied. Steps to Reproduce: Open an already-edited photo in the Develop module. Use the arrow keys on the keyboard to make adjustments to the White Balance. Switch to Library mode using the keyboard shortcut (G or E). Observe that the photo preview shows no edits. Switch back to the Develop module using the k
Editing a series of wedding photos, auto people detection mask works perfectly on several images, and suddenly a "people not found" message appears on next ones. No position, composition or lighting changed between images. Did anybody find that issue. (V 13.5.1, windows) Tha started just today, never before.
Gracias.
After upgrade to 13.5.x I have noticed a slow down when navigating between photos in Loupe view. In my case, they are NEF 36MPx files from Nikon D800 with 1:1 previews generated. There is no issue with LR 13.4.In LR 13.5.x the navigation from photo to photo can have a noticeble lag (0.5 - 1s) that is not happening on all photos (but most). I keep my LR Catalog on an ext HDD. I also clone that HDD for backup. I recently went on a trip with the Clone HDD and used it as my main drive. When I got home I just cloned it back to the other drive and figured I was set. The drive that "was" the main user drive, now says it cannot find images. If I select an X image and locate and make sure it is "finding nearby images" it works, but not the whole drive, there are still thousands of images marked missing. The paths to both drives is the same "except" on drive is called "clone", which I have to do in order to make sure I am using the right drives when I backup. Hope that makes sense. Question is: "What is the best way to get this drive properly in sync with the catalog AND is there a better way to make sure this doesnt happen again? ThanksHenry
Hola, intento abrir una foto desde Lrc en Ps y no me deja
Recently we are using Adobe MSWindows11 in stead of MacOS because of a payment system. The students need to login/logout in Windows and Adobe. After restart all settings, pictures etc. will be deleted in order to not clog up the hard drive (privacy). The Print Templates are stored on User level so our custom Templates are gone each User logs out. Is it possible to put the Print Template Folder in the 'root' Folder?
I am using a PC lapttop and can somone help me with importing. I seem to be doing something wrong. I have been importing my photos onto an external hard drive but i'm losinging storage in windows C and not not having enough storage to finish the import. What am i doing wrong? I'm not understanding the import process it seems 🙂
As you know there is no value added to saving a JPEG edited in PS, as a PSD, DNG or TIF . The information lost during original compression simply cannot be recovered. So there is no value added by saving a JPG edited in PS as anything other than a JPG, unless one wanted to preserve layers for future editing. When choosing to 'Edit in Photoshop' this is the dialog: When editing in virtually any other vendor's program, from Lightroom, this is the dialog: All the others allow you to choose JPEG, the Resolution, and the Color Space. Only Adobe fails to offer those 'Edit in' options. Consequently it becomes a pain in the posterior region to get PS edits back into the LR Catalog as JPEGS. If you use Ctrl -S in PS, a bloated and completely unnecessarys TIF file comes back into LR and to get a JPG it has to be EXPORTED as such from LR and brought into the LR Catalog. If you use the Save As dialog in PS and save it as a JPG IT DOES NOT COME BACK INTO LR. That is not a
Lightroom Classic ver.12.4., Windows 11. I installed lightroom on a new Windows 11 computer, and now Onedrive shows up as the location of my LR catalog in Catalog Settings as: C:\Users\myname\OneDrive\Lightroom. I need to remove OneDrive from the location and replace it with Pictures, and I can't figure out how to do that. I want the location to read: C:\Users\myname\Pictures\Lightoom, which used to be the default location, I believe. I disabled OneDrive, then uninstalled it from my computer. Then I copied my catalog from OneDrive to my Pictures folder. I hope this is clear. I would be very grateful for any help the Community can give me. {Moved from Lightroom Cloud to Lightroom Classic Forum by Moderator}
I have newest version of LR Classic 11.1 AND MBP with OS 12.1 tethered to Canon 5D Mark IV with latest firmware. Running in Rosetta Emulation Mode with an external monitor. Tether control panel doesn't come up. I can manually trigger capture from the camera or from File>Tethered Capture>Trigger Capture but the control window is nowhere to be seen. Yes, tried to hide and show. Tried CMD+T. Tried disconnect and reconnect. Tried stop and start. Tried Full Screen and not. Last week it worked intermittently and sometimes would on secondary display. Today not at all. Also lost connection today after multiple attempts to start and stop. Had to make the clients wait and pull the card and import manually. Please fix this and better yet, fix tether where it doesn't have to be switched to Rosetta. I feel like Adobe was finally taking tethered shooting seriously and consistent dependability has been so improved recently. Until I bought my new M1 MBP that is. Now it's back to a crapshoo
Today I imported 6 new image files into LR. After doing some edits on one image, I continued on to another image to edit. When I returned to the first image in the Develop module and selected the Crop tool, the image broke down into dashes of color across the entire image. When I view the image in the Library module it looks fine, but when I go to Develop module it breaks down. The same applies to all 6 new images. However when I view any of the 6 images in the Print module, it returns to "normal". I quit LR and reopened it; I deleted the images from the LR catalog and imported them again, and still encountered the same result in the Develop Module only. I then opened the image in Photoshop via LR and no issue - the image looked fine. All 6 images looked fine in Bridge. But when I opened them in Camera Raw, I encountered the same problem with those images as in LR. This issues does not occur with any other image file in my catalog when viewed in the Develop module. I have included scre
Hey all, I have my Lightroom catalog and smart previews set to store on my MacBook Pro's SSD and my main image library stored on a LAcie Thunderbolt Quadra drive. I import with standard previews and smart previews and when viewing the file using Lightroom on my external montior set to 3000x1670 resolution the actual picutre in lightroom at 100% is vastly smaller than the screen area. I've tried unchecking edit with smart previews, i've also attempted to render 1:1 previews and nothing seems to be working. It's frustrating not to be able to zoom into the file at a true 100% and check for focus and sharpness. I'm assuming this is a setting somewhere but i'm at a loss as of where to find it. As a side note, the files are from a variety of cameras however all were shot in RAW at a resolution greater than my screen display size. Thanks!
I'm sorting through photos I've taken of my girlfriend. Made a folder for only pictures taken with a flash. But when I sort the pics by Did Fire and Did Not Fire, the metadata has it incorrect. Some pics I know I used flash on are marked as Did Not Fire, and vice versa with some pics I know I didn't use flash on.I would have thought it was the camera writing wrong metadata, if this hadn't been the case with pics from three (3) different cameras. Two Canons and one Fujifilm. So what's up, is this a widely-publicised problem, or what?
What: In the Develop module, make the zoom slider available while masking. It's often desirable to be able to vary the amount of detail visible while masking. At present , howeever, it's only possible to toggle between two zoom settings while a mask is open. Since the zoom slider is not displayed, these two settings cannot be adjusted without closing out of masking. This can make for an unnecessarily awkward work flow. Benefit: Making the zoom slider available while masking would facilitate a smoother work flow by allowing users to adjust detail levels "on the fly" according to need. Given how central masking is, making it a more seamless process will likely enhance the overall user experience. (If there is already a way to display the zoom slider while masking, I don't know it and couldn't find it, so would appreciate someone enlightening me.)
I created folders and albums in LR and now have started using LRC, but Lrc doesn't automatically create the same structure as Collection Sets/Collections. It'll be very annoying if I have to do it manually as as far as I can see Collection Sets = Folders and Collections = Albums. Shouldn't be rocket science.... I have just been on chat with support and was told that if i create Coll Sets and Colls in LRC, then they will sync to LR... shame it doesn't do it the other way!
Issues with Adobe used to drive me nuts because I kept asking why is it that a company so successful that employs genius developers (let's face it Adobe has features that requires that genius!) allows so many high profile bugs to be released into production. I am well past that point now (call it fatigue?), because it is what it is. And here I am writing yet another post about sync feature not working... Adobe has a number of competitors these days and while many of them a truly amazing, all of them are missing critical and painfully obvious features. So that leaves me with Adobe. One of the features that I should be excited about is Sync. I use(d) sync to view and edit photos on iPad, and it is a great feature…when it works. A few releases ago (sometime in 2024) Adobe released Lightroom Classic with all the sync setting and troubleshooting buttons gone. I was a bit shocked thinking ‘How will I at least attempt to fix sync when it fails’. But all of a sudden sync
Hello!I've been using Lightroom for a very long time, my current version is 5.6, I've been uploading from my Canon 5d mark iii effortlessly. I just got a new Canon mirrorless camera with an sd card and for some reason it is not letting me upload images from that card. Any ideas why? Thank you!Emilie Szabo
Hello, I added a custom metadata to my plugin and in the metadataThatTriggersRepublish function : function exportServiceProvider.metadataThatTriggersRepublish( publishSettings ) return { default = false, title = true, caption = true, keywords = true, gps = true, dateCreated = true, ["com.myplugin.mymetadata"] = true, customMetadata = true, } end But when I update mymetadata in a photo from a published collection, it does not mark the photo to republish. I don't understand why and if it's a lightroom bug or if I miss something? Do you have this working like expected? Thank you
I cannot openj lightroom. It seems like all of my saved catalogues are corrupted. When I try to start a new catalogue I am locked out also. I have deleted all the "lock" noted catalogues. I was able to start a new catalogue earlier but when I tried to import from any previous catalogue I received a message that says an error occured when trying to open this new catalogue. Another problem I was having is that I am not able to update or open Creative Cloud to run a diagnostic. I am on a Mac using:221.45 GB available of 1.03 TBRunning Mac SonomaLatest Lightroom Classic Update. Any help would be appreciated. Steve
