Just today, I have 8 new photos that I want to quickly run through the LrC and share with friends. But I'd like to be able to do this in a second Lightroom window, without distrubing the main larger project that I'm in the middle of. It would be much faster and easier if I could have a second window to run through the importing, editing, and sharing, and then close that new temporary project window, when I'm done. Note: this temporary second project capability could have just limited basic features if easier to implement.
Hello all! I'd love for the crop rotate to be able to be binded to the mouse wheel, so one can just scroll to get the right rotation/crop. Current implementation requires you to hover next to the crop frame, and visually see the cursor to change to rotate icon, and then click, hold, and rotate. Similar to brush size change with the mouse wheel. This isn't a big deal on a few images, but when you are doing hundreds or thousands of images, it would be super sweet to be able to just scroll the mouse after hitting the crop tool short cut, and focus the cursor only for repositioning/sizing of the crop. I know there's auto-level, but it misses the level more than I'd like.
Portrait photographer here who has spent an ungodly number of hours manually brushing on adjustments to correct for those automatic darkening lenses in peoples' eyeglasses. Now that we have all these amazing AI auto-masks, would that be able to be automated more now? I'd be happy with a mask that searches the face, identifies glasses, and masks out only the lenses for me. I don't believe it'd be possible just yet, but if someday you gave me something like "whiten teeth" where it also automatically applies a preset for exposure/shadows/temp/tint correction to match the surrounding skin, I'd think I'd died and gone to heaven. For whatever reason, these lenses are incredibly popular in my area, particularly with men. While it's not a difficult task to do manually, it is incredibly tedious, and such a tool would save me so much time and effort that could be spent on other things.
This would be really helpful when viewing a set together, especially in grid view or for the impromptu slideshow. Otherwise, you have to manaully drag images around until they are random. I imagine this would be a quick feature to implement.
Im sure I'm not the only one who has experienced the frustration that comes from jumping between ACR and Lightroom and constantly hitting the wrong shortcut keys for things like resetting adjustments, or local masks. Can we get an option in Lightroom (or camera raw) to use a common set of shortcut keys for both apps?
I am wondering why Light Room Classic does not have a levels adjustment available. I think it would be really useful. There's a tone curve adjustment, but I find I have to switch to Photoshop for levels. Is it just me, or am I missing something?
Compared to the alternatives from Capture One and DXO the repair tools are much less flexible. Therefore I would love to see the following improvements: Add/Substract to/from existing pin to fine tune selection. Currently you have to get your selection right at first attempt or start over again if you didn't (like in Capture One) When cloning allow for scaling/rotation of the cloned area (like in DXO) Maybe incorporate the object selection tool into the repair tool (would be a bonus, the upper two point are the more important ones in my opinion These enhancements would greatly improve the usability of the repair tool and would make round trips to Photoshop less needed
DELETE within Lightroom Classic is currently close to a non-reversable command, Certainly even if recovery is possible, it is costly of time and effort The software does not provide an in app staging and recovery area - making accidental deletes a major issue (and that is IF noticed in time) - before also emptying trash Please consider providing a DELETED staging area (with an easy recovery option that will put images and edit history back into correct directory and database) From the staging area Add a COMFIRM ALL option that will actually delete selected (or all deleted) files from the hard disc/storage location.
Hi, it would be great to have prerender or selective batch processing option available for AI masks. The way the feature works at the moment is that you can choose between replacing masks or adding AI masks from a sample file when batch processing. I would like to just UPDATE the adjustments of prerendered AI maks. This would save a lot of time when editing galleries. This way you could render AI masks in advance and then just copy and paste the settings/finetune the adjustments for each indiviual AI mask. I.e. prerender all background AI masks, then just copy and paste the settings. At the moment the AI mask always need to be recalculated when batch processing and it is not very efficient. Thank you for considering this.Chistina
Hi all, I seem to be having difficulty here. My question lies at the intersection between Lightroom CC and Adobe Portfolio. I am using Adobe Portfolio for the first time to replace a website I had on Sqaurespace. I like the feature of LR that allows me to manage albums in LR and have automatically uploaded to website with optimal settings. The collections are great like that. Is there any way to get the images from collections to upload to Portfolio with a watermark attached? Thanks
Hi! So this is a little thing and maybe there is already a way to do this, but in my opinion, when using the select people tool, I do not think the neck should be part of the body's skin, instead, I think it should be part of the facial selection. As a person who wears makeup, when I do my face, I do my neck too, with this in mind, I wonder if there is a way to include the neck when selecting the facial skin area, instead of it being part of the body skin? Thank you, great program, it's always getting better, such an incredible tool, thank you to everyone who helped make it possible.
Can we please enable selecting all snapshots at once and then one click export or one click create virtual copies. This will make snapshots so easy and more useful
Selecting people is very good but sometimes i don't want to select clothing but i do every aspect of the 'head' and this can mean selecting 8 boxes which is very time consuming when working on dozens of images. There is only an option for Entire Person or to individually select all the options. Can a Select All option be added so that we could unselect one or two options or even have one option that selects every part of the head? The option to unselect one or two areas, teeth or clothes for example would be very useful and speed up the editing process further.
Simple thing: When Cropping the dimensions of the image/photo (in pixels) should be displayed in the UI. This would allow us to crop precisely. This is a standard in the photographic industry and LR doesn't have it. It's a must do. P.S. (If this was alsed already I am sorry, I searched and nothing come up)
I've always believed the sum of our experiences and knowledge makes us individuals, and each of us has different workflows in our practice. With this Adobe in Lightroom Classic v 12.x; added swap left and right panels across the UI or in the Develop module only.Believing this may have been designed for left-hand users. However, as a righty, I use it with my Wacom tablet, placing the on-screen radial menu on the right-hand side of the screen and having the develop panel on the left. My Wacom tablet is on the right side of my desk, being right-handed.Using this function Adobe allows switching the order of the panels around. For me what would be nice is the swapping of the words and icons around too, left and right justification as well. Then the titles and functions sliders will be aligned to the left and toggle on and off switches/preview icons being switched to the right.Any comments with be great, thank you in advance.
Hello, is there any form of pressure on Adobe to eventually allow end-to-end encryption of the cloud data? It is in users interest, Adobe -- not so much for Adobe I guess. Reachig out to the support I've learnt my data is "totally safe", which is an absurd statement.
In the optional Select Catalog screen, add a flag to indicate a catalog is locked. THis could be simply filling in the file icon in red.
Cropping on lightroom classic (using my laptop and mouse) has always felt clunky to me. When I crop on my iphone using pinching and moving (just using the default Apple Photos app) it feels much more intuitive and natural to find a good crop. If there's any way to emulate that experience on a computer that'd be helpful. Thanks
It would be really nice if Lightroom had a similar feature to the Google Photos App's "Portrait Light," which adds a moveable point source lighting that illuminates the subject (face, body) differently depending on where you place it relative to the subject and its intensity. This would be really useful for adding creativity to portraits, especially those taken with natural lighting. Here's a video of Google Photos' "Portrait light" feature in use. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8z4E_tBhp4 Thanks
Currently, when either the first or the last image is selected, the image is highlighted and the filmstrip automatically advances to the middle. This adds time om the user end to move the filmstrip back to continue with the workflow. Please add an option to disable this automatic movement of the filmstrip. Thanks.
When I upgraded to macOS Ventura from a much older version, the whole feel of the save dialog boxes changed from horizontal to a more vertical format. This change seems to have carried over to Lightroom Classic (12.4) as well If I select some files in grid view, then click Command +S to save, I see old, horizontal dialog box, with option to overwrite settings, which obviously I do not want to do. If I dismiss it, then click on up arrow on an image, I get the new vertical style dialog box. I do not want to use the first choice, as again, I want the image to display/keep the changes I made in the ACR window, so I would click Import Settings from Disk. I wish there was a way to set Lightroom to always import settings, as I can’t remember ever wanting to lose work I did in the raw window, and I am afraid I will accidentally hit Enter, or click the top choice, losing all the work I will have done to potentially hundreds of files. I wish there was a way to never see this dialog
--- Hello, I'm missing a few things that would be really useful: - Be able to rename catalog folders in batch directly from lightroom (add suffixes, prefixes, replace strings, etc) (like ant-renamer soft) (to do so on Windows requires you to reconnect folders one by one, or to resynchronize everything, which is very tedious...) That would be really great.
I shoot dance recitals and sports tournaments. It'd be great to be able to que exports (35 sets) like you can for Premiere so that all exports can be started later instead of as soon as I click "OK" and have Lightroom slow down while I'm still working. Then I could prepare all exports just like prepping all "Publish" settings, start my export, and go get some dinner.
