Lightroom Classic

At navigator zoom options, I would like to see Fit without upscale. So fill the area for large images, and show smaller images at 100% if they fit.

To see a file in the OS, you use Command or Control R (Show in Finder/Explorer). To see where it lives in the folders panel, you have to right click then select Go to Folder in Library'. It's probably my most used contextual command and is located beside Show in Finder. The shortcut Shift Command/Control R is available and would be a perfect match to the existing Show in Finder command. Please can this be a future JDI item?  

Hi, While adding individual picture cells and text cells in a book is a great new feature, I wonder how can I create those cells with identical sizes?There is neither an opportunity to just copy and paste an existing cellnor can I see details regarding size (x/y values) and the exact position of the cell. Unfortunately, there is also currently no possibility to align boxes. The ability to add individual cells is really great and I guess some of us were waiting for year on it. However, a page of a photo book should look professional and therefore it must be possible to determine the exact size of cells, their position and to align them vertically, horizontally or to evenly distribute them on a page.I hope you got my point. If not: please try to create a page with 3 x 3 photo cells of identical sizes...ThanksChristian

Here’s an idea for a useful feature in a future version of Lightroom Classic- allow a contextual click on an image (or thumbnail) to copy the image file name. So the pop up window would display the option to copy the file name to the clipboard. And maybe even better, add a key command to do the same thing.   I can’t tell you how many times I have to select an image, use Command + R to find original, then click on it, then hit enter, then Command + C just to get the file name into the clipboard- would be in the thousands!   Yes, I know I can go to the Metadata tab in the sidebar, open it, select File Name field, and copy that, but also being able to do it in one step would be a time saver. Hi,   I often use Super Resolution + Enhance Details to counter diffraction effects in pictures shot at narrow apertures, it's really good at that, pretty amazing what comes out if you use it to upscale and enhance, and then downsize the output to original size.    I realise this is very much a first world problem, but having an extra checkbox in Super Resolution dialog window where we currently have: - Raw Details (on/off) - Super Resolution (on/off)   My suggestion would be to add one more option that will downsize output to original size, maybe something like: - Downsize to original image size (on/off)   Saves a few clicks but the value added is that this makes it more obvious right from the UI that Super Resolution can be used in this way, to a great effect

I use a lot lightroom for tethering fashion catalogue.  I think that rulers in LR is a too poor tool.  Rulers should be more thin and we can only move a couple of axes. I can see it in library but disappear while i try to crop the image (it would be the most useful situation to use them) Also i really miss the possibility to overlap an image as reference for setting rulers and crop all pictures right. 

Hi everyone   Since upgrading from Lightroom CC to Lightroom Classic CC a few days ago, in the Developer mode, the color/brightness of the grid lines is medium to dark grey. They are very hard to see now on any photos. Before the upgrade the grid lines were more like white or a very light grey.   How can I change the grid line color/brightness to a light grey or white color?   Thanks Michael

File > Auto Import > Auto Import Settings forgets the previous setting of Add To Collection and always displays it unchecked, even when it was previously checked. Tested on LR 12.1 / Mac OS 12.6.1.   To reproduce:   1.Do File > Auto Import > Auto Import Settings.   2. Check Enable Auto Import and Add To Collection, selecting an existing collection.   3. Verify Auto Import works by dragging a photo into the watched folder.   4. Do File > Auto Import > Auto Import Settings and observe that Add To Collection is unchecked (bug).   This bug has been around since time immemorial, but the original bug report appears to have gotten lost. First, let me say I've used Lightroom since it was born, so I'm well versed in LR Classic. I have an iMac and MacBook Pro both running Big Sur with LR vs 12.1. I do not have this problem on the iMac, but on my MBP, I'm having a problem using the new content aware tool and the spot removal tool. In previous versions, the sample area and the fixed area were well defined, with the sample area having a slightly heavier line around it. Now, I can barely see an edge to what I'm selecting to be “fixed” with either tool. After using the spot removal tool, I can barely see either the fixed area or the sample area (yes, my cursor is over the icon), so I can't very easily move the sample area to improve what the tool did. I've zoomed in, but that's seems to be even worse. On both computers, I have the Tool Overlay set to Auto — I've tried each setting with no difference. Please, does anyone have a solution to get my edges back so I can see what I'm selecting?

Request for change   In the Object Masking panel, add a button to execute the mask creation as opposed to the mask creation occurring upon mouse release. This could allow for complex object selections without resorting to multiple Additions. This is not a request for the Done button coming back, this is a request for basically a start button being created.   Example workflow, currently   Image has, say three separate objects to be in the one mask, objects are not near one another. Create an object mask Using the mouse define the first object to be in the mask. These days with high bust rates used more often, culling has become quite a chore.  I notice that in OM WorkSpace, there is a facility that selects a number of the sharpest images in a burst series of like images.  If this can select say 5 of the shapest images in a burst of 20, that reduces the culling workload by 75%.  I would think this a very worthwhile feature.

The ability to search for similar photos and videos within our own Lightroom or Bridge folders. Our phones can do this, as well as countless other apps. Could you please finally implement this simple feature into Lightroom Classic? Even across all of your software, including adobe bridge? It will be very useful to everybody. Thank you so much! Not everyone managed to properly keyword tag their photos unfortunately.  

A very simple thing. If I am in Library module and I press "R" to resize a picture Lightroom goes directly to Dev module, perfect.I would like to see the same thing as I hit "Y" in Library to see an original image vs the developed one.    Thank you

is there a way to hide the panel arrows. the arrows still take up spaces after the panel is hidden. it would nice to have a shortcut to hide the panel arrows if one is familiar with the shortcuts to hide the panels.

After I import my photos to LrC I rate the potentially good ones with one star and assing color labels to them based on what I want to do. Green is HDR merge, Blue is Compositing different images together, then when I have spent some time tweaking the image, but still think I can improve, I'll give it a Purple label. When I filter for a specific rating, or more often a color label, I sometimes find stacked images. HDRs, Panoramas, or images I stacked myself, virtual copies even. If I then change the rating or the color label on the main image on the stack, nothing will happen to the other images on the stack and vice-versa. If I have a filter so I only see a color label or a rating, I won't see the images on the stack which have a different label or rating to the main image on the stack. I have attached an image showing the behavior as of now.   I understand this behavior, and I agree this should be the default way. I love the Library>People function which makes our lives a lot easier.   It does a great job most of the time but I often have to review or rename incorrect suggestions. It is a lot faster to drag and drop the image or a multi section of image to the correct person in the "named people" Pane vice retyping the name.   The biggest issue is that on a long list unnamed people (when scrolling is required), the Named People pane disappear making it difficult to rapidly drag and drop and also brakes the flow of the list.    Suggestion: In the People window, we should have the ability to pin the "named people" pane so it remain visible when the Unnamed People is scrolled down or up. This would afford the quick drag and drop capability from the unnamed people to the named people pane.

In Lightroom classic:    I beleive that you should be able to keep (or maintain) the exact window position within the "import" - after you add+label+ and clear the "Quick Collection" folder     

Hi, does anybody know a software, plugin, script or action to convert meta data presets from Lightroom Classic (.lrtemplate) to meta data presets for Bridge/Photoshop (.xmp).   I could do it manual with picture by picture, but I'm to lazy to convert 170 Lightroom presets. This way I also get the GPS data better into Bridge, which doesn’t works so wasy.   An allroud converter for any Digital Asset Management software would be great.

it would be great if the channel swap option was included in lightroom classic. this would eliminate the need to use photoshop and we could get out there faster to take pictures. 😉 that would certainly make all infrared photographers very happy. so please please dear adobe programmers make it possible.Best regards Marko

LR mobile sync is extremely slow. Giving me an option to sync locally would be excellent. And I'm sure very useful for professionals travelling in areas where internet is limited/non-existent or expensive and time consuming.Come on Adobe. If this is designed for professionals this slow sync and data usage issues on global data roaming....? It simply isn't practical. The product as is can't be recommended as is.(please also add keywords, ratings, labels to app functionality)Thanks!

Good morning.   I assume that I am not the first person to make this suggestion, but it would be very helpful if a user could select a set of images and then export the metada for those images (or selected metadata fields) to a list in Excel. This would greatly simplify the process of completing the list that must be submitted to the copyright office when registering photos for copyright.   I was actually surprised to find that this is not a feature in Lightroom. In my day job, I work with a cloud-based content management system in which we store Word docs, PDFs and Excel files. And in addition to being able to edit, download, copy and paste, etc. we can generate a list of records in a list view, which will contain only the fields of metadata that we choose and then export that list into Excel.   Thanks for your consideration.   Al

I'd love to see the Premiere Pro Lumetri color adjustment possibilities in Lightroom and Photoshop. For example the curves: luminance vs saturation, saturation vs saturation and so on. This makes it so easy to desaturate the less saturated areas of an image for example. I just don't know any tool for this in Lightroom or Photoshop. Lumetri color is the perfect tool set for adjusting the colours. Please add this to Lightroom and Photoshop!
