Lightroom Classic

Lightroom Classic's latest 10.3 updates got a better performance. But we still have a 1-2 sec waiting time when clicking on the next image in the Develop Mode(even when using the latest hardware), this may be because it will take time to load the preset and adjustment panel. It would be great if it can preload next 1 photo(or even previews 1 photo) when editing current photo. This will make the Lightroom Classic much faster when editing.

When a virtual copy is created, the initial develop history includes only a "Create Virtual Copy" history step with a timestamp. I'd like to see the develop history of the parent as well. I'd envision seeing the entire develop history of the parent plus the new "Create Virtual Copy" step. This is particularly valuable in cases where you switch the copy to the master, then delete the old master. This triggers a needless loss of develop history.

Over the last few months I have developed a technique to display my high quality photographs using Lightroom, an Intel Compute Stick and a Samsung TV. I'd like to make some suggestion to all of you to improve the process and results. Please respond with an email address so I can supply more information.

Hi ! I would suggest to add this metadata in LR Classic in order to filter images which are "NOT synced with Lightroom" or "which belong or not in, a collection". Maybe add a line in "catalog menu", there is allready a line "synced", but not the opposite. In case this exists allready, pls help. I didn't find any post on thge subject. Thanks Emm

Hi, Dear Adobe Team. Something that I think is missing in Lightroom, if added, would change stuff for the good for photographers. 1., I have seen in profile there is now the option if you shoot raw to get the camera profiles and choose from what they would look like, I don't know if that is using EXIF data, well if it were ​that something like that, I'd say should be added is the jpg Preview, for example if you shoot a raw image you must edit unless you do Jpg+RAW, what's if you can shoot RAW and then have an option in Lightroom Classic, to choose Jpg Preview Settings and will apply the same camera adjustments to the image, Like let's say fix exposure but now if it is too overexposed or under you can change it ,or noise Reduction you take it off now VS a Jpg File and then you can bulk apply Like presets. The Gain would be that if you shoot raw but don't have time to edit but can't shoot RAW +JPEG that you can edit images super fast and get exactly what the camera would make and don't n

Once you have only a few watermarks, then LR can do a fair job now. However I am real esate photographer, I manage all my photos in LR and export photos with different company's logo as watermark. Now I have more than 100 watermarks in the file, it will become very touble and wate a lot of time.   Can Adobe consider to improve it ?

I use the 'Destination Folders' function when importing images. When I do not delete previously imported images from my memory card, the number of folders (different dates) in LR shows starts to pile up. This then starts to takes soo much time to render all thumbnails, as all folders are by default expanded. I would love to see a toggle to see all folders collapsed - which is a setting that's then remembered for the next import.Then I would only have to 'open' the most recent folder (date) and leave all other folders as is.Another optimization would be to show the latest images at the top. I currently don't know of any sort option 

In Lr please make shutter speed info BIGGER. For example, write the fraction like this 1/125, not like it is now.

I had a problem with a HD. I manage to recover most of photos but totally out of structure.  It would be awesome for me if when i go to the catalog and try to locate the deleted files Lightroom could search the metadata of the files and match the date and hour of the files. This would be a huge help. 

This concerns the slideshow module in Lightroom Classic. Previously, when new folders were added to my catalogue, and I wished to view them as a slideshow, for the first time there was a delay while the slideshow previews were prepared, but for any subsequent viewings, the delay was minimal.   Following the latest version of LrC a few days ago, every time I wish to view a folder, there is a lengthy preparation time. The only way to avoid this is to use fn F to view a manual slideshow using the arrow key to move forward. I want to let the show progress automatically with a standard display time.   Your Help Team have told me that this is now standard in the latest version of LrC. This really is not acceptable in a supposedly professional application, and a very backward move. I use LrC daily, and need to view my photos frequently. I cannot wait 2 minutes or more before each folder starts to play. Please address this issue as soon as poss

I would love to be able to use LiveView while also tethered to Lightroom.

In LR Library module, Grid view, if you filter on a KW (Keyword), it does not show you images that are burried in collapsed stacks (see screen shot attached). As it stands, the only way to find these images is to turn off all the filters, select all photos in the catalog, then Expand All Stacks (thereby erasing all the hard work done collapsing some stacks and expanding others) then re-filter on the keyword. I would like to see an option or some means that will either a) show all images that match the filter regardless of stacking state, or b) once a filter is applied, click something to "expand all stacks containing images matching filter" Thanks -- Dan

In my Photobooks, I always add a thin border around my pictures. I'd like to have this option in the Book Module. The same options as in the Print Module (image settings - inner stroke chosing color) would be perfect.

Just got iphone 6s. One new feature is "Live Photos" which while taking a still picture also takes a 3 sec movie. When imported into Apple's Photos app each Live photo becomes 2 files, a movie file and a normal picture file that can be edited. In lightroom the imported Live photo file is only a movie file, which can"t be edited. Can this be changed in a future update so that importing also gives a normal still picture file and a movie file?

Gestures on the touchpad are currently notsupported in nearly all Adobe CC Apps, Photoshop being one of them. On Windows10, there is no way to scroll diagonally on a touchpad, nor can you use a"pinch to zoom (in/out)" gesture. Scrolling is limited to horizontaland vertical, but only one dimension at a time.I'm using a Surface Book 2. With its touchscreen, I am ableto use these gestures. On the touchpad however, this isn't possible. My workflow is heavily slowed down by this. I've been using aMacBook before and all gestures were supported - why isn't that the case on Windows?Microsoft provides precision touchpad drivers for many devices. These drivers create a greattouchpad experience on any device using them. It's the way forward for Windows10 laptops. I would love being able to use these gestures. I'd love to get the ability to use 3D LUTs in Lightroom, now that those can be created in Photoshop cc 2014.

When trying to migrate my Photoshop Elements catalog to LrC the list of supported catalog file types include only up to PSE18DB, while my catalog is a later version, PSE19DB. My LrC version is the latest. 10.0.  Do I have to wait for a new version of LrC or is there a way around this?

The menu command File > Import Develop Profiles And Presets and the "+" button in the Develop Presets panel are incorrectly greyed out when there is no photo selected in Develop, and the menu command is greyed out when you're in Library.This needlessly confuses users. A typical scenario: Install LR on a new computer, start it, try to import presets. Why can't i import directly from iCloud to LR Classic CC?

[Update: Color labels for folders were added in LR 7.4 --John Ellis]I find it difficult to navigate folders and collections in the LH panel. To some extent this is because I (unwisely) chose to use similar naming conventions.If it were possible to allow users to "Colour code" folders and collections it would make navigation much easier and also give me another way of "cataloging" photos.My suggestion would be a small colour indicator, rather like the online/offline indicator but round instead of oblong.

I would like the ability to have password protection for each Collection I make. This would be especially useful when syncing them to LR Mobile and then emailing links out to people.

Sometimes I use slideshows to export jpgs with border, or with filename overlay, via option/alt-clicking on "export pdf" button so it becomes "export jpg." This works fine when I have two or more images selected, but when I have one photo selected and I export jpgs from slideshow, my entire filmstrip gets exported (even though "use: selected photos" is visible, and it says below that, "1 selected." If I create a new collection with only one image, then I can export just the one, but it was suggested on the LR forum that this might be a bug. It would be helpful for me to have the ability to create single image slideshows without having to create a new collection.

In LR Classic the Radial Filter mask can be modified by clicking on "INVERT" (which is always backwards in my mind).In Photoshop Camera Raw the Radial Filter can be modified by clicking on "Inside" or "Outside".The terminology in PS is much more logical. Could LR Classic be changed please
