Lightroom Classic

I am backing up my lightroom catalog and it's been 15 hours so far. Is that normal for a catalog with 170,000+ images on lightroom? Should I restart my computer or will that corrupt the catalog?

Further I initially had around 160,000 photos; now I have 390,000 photos.How did this happen and how can it be repaired?? 

I have just updated to Lightroom 15.4.1, since up dating when I open the masking option I go to people and I get a message no people found, even though the image is a portrait. This now occurs on every portrait I use the masking option.

I’m editing a folder that has 240 photos. They are slides from about 40 years ago that I digitized by taking photos of using Valoi easy35. I hadn’t realized how much dust was on them so I’ve been using the Remove tool with Use generative AI and Detect Objects selected. Because it takes a long time to run, some photos taking an hour or so, I’ve been working on it over a couple of weeks or so. Several times I’ve exited Lightroom and backed up the catalog. After I finally got through the slides I went back to the start to see if I’ve missed any. There are a number of ones that I specifically remember fixing certain blemishes, but were there when I went back a second time.

LrC v15.4.1 Windows-11:   I am trying the Auto-Stack ‘by Visual similarity’ on a folder of images with many images I consider similar. Why am I getting the message- “Current slider settings doesn’t allow Auto-stacking”? and the [Stack] button is greyed out. Although the previews suggest that stacks will be created. This message appears for any position of the slider- except for the far right end when [Stack] appears but result is “0 stacks,...”Something I am missing? 

I have Lightroom classic 15.4.1 .  I used the find duplicates application to create stacks of  duplicate photos.  The stacks of duplicate photos were displayed.   I then selected the option to remove duplicate photos from the hard drive.   Now it would appear that the "duplicate application" has become unresponsive.  "No duplicates found " is shown on the main Lightroom screen. In addition the photo catalogue is no longer connected to Lightroom.  The thumbnail of the Picture file has a small black/grey exclamation mark by it.    My photos are still all on the computer’s hard drive.     HELP !   How to I return Lightroom to its usual state and reconnect it to the photo catalogue?

I have a large keyword hierarchy with several layers of parent levels and subcategory levels.  After catalog upgrade my keyword structure is in disarray, with keywords scattered into various levels parent to their correct placement in the heirarchy.  They aren’t merely duplicated outside their proper place; some keywords have been removed and are missing from their proper place in the hierarchy.  I understand that keywords can appear to be “misplaced” if files are imported from an old folder that was improperly moved outside of Lightroom control.  This seems different.  I may have done something wrong, but I don’t know what it was.

If you edit a keyword in Lightroom Classic (like adding synonyms or changing the keyword's export settings), all photos with said keyword are synced - even photos where keyword sync hasn't been activated.Lightroom version: 15.4.1Steps to reproduce:Open a catalog that is synced to Lightroom cloud. Activate keyword sync in LrC settings. Activate keyword sync on a selection of photos in the catalog (but not all). Choose a photo which doesn’t have keyword sync activated. Make sure that it has one or more LrC keywords. Find the chosen photo on Lr Mobile / Cloud and add a few random keywords to it. In LrC, edit one of the keywords of the chosen photo by adding a synonym to it.Expected result:Lightroom should sync any photos which have the edited keyword and keyword sync activated.Actual result: Lightroom syncs ALL photos with the keyword, regardless of whether they have keyword sync activated or not. I edit a photo, go back to Library grid, open another file for editing, when I enter Develop module loupe view what appears to be a double exposure appears. Problem is resolved by quitting LR and reopening, but returns after a few additional edits. Mac M2 Mini with Graphics Processor ON; Sequoia 15.6.1 

Hi y’all! Having issues with generative AI (Clone stamping, denoise, and masking) across the board and have been having issues for the last week+. Whenever I add an edit, it doesn’t necessarily “stick” in that it’ll read with an error message and requires refreshing. I’ve resigned on getting the clone stamping tool to work and will just do what I need to do to get a gallery out in Photoshop, but I have a set of images that need the denoise tool and some custom masks. I’ve re-rendered multiple times and exported but the images will not export with the masks. Feeling incredibly frustrated and wondering if anyone has found a fix for this? I’ve tried restarting the app, my computer, logging out and in, editing in the proper order of operations, refreshing/updating the masks, and checking for updates. So far, nothing has worked. Has anyone experienced this and was able to fix? Additional details: Currently running on LRC 15.4.1 and do not have any additional available updates. Is it possibl

라이트룸 클래식 사용 도중에 인물 보기에서 이름이 지정되지 않은 인물을 이름이 지정된 인물 쪽으로 드래그 앤 드롭하려고 하면 라이트룸이 응답없음 상태가 됩니다.조금 기다리면 종료되버리거나 강제로 종료 후 다시 실행해야 합니다. 윈도우 11을 새로 설치한지 1~2주 정도 되었습니다.모든 소프트웨어와 드라이버가 새로 설치된 상태입니다. AMD Ryzen 7 5700X96GB RAMNVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 12GB

Hallo,   trotz aktueller Version 14.2 funktioniert bei mir in LightroomClassic seit mehreren Tagen das Kartenmodul nicht. Ich bitte um Hilfe bzw. Aufklärung!

Tried to submit problem, after being told I was over the limit several times so I edited like crazy. Then upon "Submit" it went away. Now what ?Edit

When using the denoise or enhance features, it would be great if the filters selected in the Develop module would continue to stay selected. Currently, if I have a set of filters - like hiding rejected images, or specific color tags - and then decide to enahnce or denoise an image, whenever Lightroom finishes processing, it resets all of my filters back to showing everything.   If I've already rejected an image - or 100 - I clearly don't want to see them, and don't want to have to keep clicking the desired filter after every single enhancing/denoising process, just to get rid of the clutter. Sometimes, I can batch enhance or denoise, but other times I need to do it one at a time , and repeating this process for 100-200 images, for example, wastes a lot of time and is incredibly annoying. 

I cannot use Lightroom Classic. Every catalog I try opens in the background. All apps and graphics driver are up-to-date. I'm operating Windows 11 on a Sky Tech gaming machine. I have spent many hours online with several different Adobe techs have been unable to solve the problem. One seems to think that the catalog is corrupt, but I have tried multiple catalogs--backups and new.

I’ve been trying to upload 2 different books to Blurb from Lightroom Classic with no success. I had successfully uploaded on e month ago so I know it’s possible. Same version of software -- the latest  There are no issues with length of book, photos or size of files, etc. So I’m baffled. I rebooted my google fiber and Netgear modems as well. I see there are reports of similar bugs  but no clear solution. Have asked Blurb in meantime. Any update on this kind of thing. Someone seemed to have gotten somewhere by telling Blurb and also allowing full disk access. Will look into that. Let me know how to do that! Think in Settings. Thanks. Mary - July 25, 2026

LrC 15.4.1. MacOS 15.6.2  When LrC is opened for a longer period of time the upper tool bar locks up. I can't hide LrC or access any other tools. I've had to force quit LrC a few times.
