Lightroom Classic

I use masks to blur parts of my images, and in 99% of cases I use them inverted. Older version memorized this and the new version does not memorise the fact I used inverted mask just seconds ago, so for every new mask I have to additionally click on invert checkbox, which together with the fact I have to use masks now and create new ones with additional clicks, slows down my workflow.  Please include Invert option to be remembered by Lightroom mask from the previous usage of the mask. 

I discovered that when saving JPEG files in Adobe LR, banding began appearing on smooth color gradients, even at maximum quality. I've been using Lightroom for 10 years now and I still love the program. I don't do many VFX tweaks and barely use photoshop for event photos. But I would love if Adobe can allow you to choose and adjust polychromatic film grain, not just monochromatic. Film doesn't have monochromatic grain unless it's B&W. Also would love a Halation effect. Something that you can adjust color, brightness, bloom, softness, etc. Does anyone else want this?

I’d like the option to display flags (Pick/Reject) and star ratings while using Full Screen / Lights Out mode in Lightroom Classic.   Right now, pressing F disables the "I" key info overlay, which prevents seeing critical culling information while viewing images distraction-free.   Suggested enhancement: Allow the "I" key (or a preference toggle) to show flags and star ratings in Full Screen mode, similar to how it works in Loupe view.   This would significantly improve culling and review workflows by combining a clean viewing experience with essential rating visibility.

Problem:   When I export more than 11 photos, my computer will be slowed down significantly. This might not be a problem, when I export just one folder, but in order to separate photos from an event of different people, I need to start several export processes and also have to wait for them to finish. Additionally, I cannot work on anything else. I usually have a lot of photos around 20.000 to 60.000 in one catalog. They are distributed/organized in several folder by date and by events. My usual process is to import all my photos, sort them, discard them, edit every photo, export those in different folders. An export of around 1000 photos (32MP) can take around 1/2 hour up to 1 hour easily. I want my computer to work on them, when I don't use it.   I have a decent computer (AMD Threadripper 24 cores, 64GB RAM, NVMe SSD 2T, NVIDIA Geforce RTX 2060 Super), which needs to work on 45MP Photos in RAW.   What I need and probably other users as well: I need to queue an export

Why don't you help us out and incorporate logic inside of Lightroom “auto” to disable vibrance and saturation adjustment on profiles other than your native profiles like Adobe Color and Adobe Standard. The vibrance and saturation adjustment for “auto” was designed to work only with the color matrices of your native profiles. This may not seem like a big deal to you but you try having to click a preset that sets vibrance and saturation to 0 1500 times.  No this is not something I do this is something every single one of your users does that's using a camera matching profile or calibrated profile other than your native profiles. Over and over and over and over and over and over again thousands of times. Thank you!

I use Lightroom Classic for high-volume professional photography and regularly cull several thousand images in a session.My workflow is to remain in the Develop module with the Crop tool permanently active. I move rapidly through images using the Filmstrip, adjusting the crop where required before moving immediately to the next image.I use Lightroom's Secondary Display on a calibrated 27" monitor, which displays the current image full-screen. This means the large central image area in Develop on my MacBook is largely redundant, what I actually need on the primary display is the Develop controls and a much larger thumbnail Filmstrip.Currently the Filmstrip can only be dragged upwards to a fairly restrictive maximum height.It would be extremely useful if Lightroom allowed the Filmstrip to be resized much further, or offered a Develop workspace consisting primarily of a large thumbnail browser plus Develop controls when Secondary Display is active.As a real-world example, my normal workfl

I would like to request a shortcut key for the Object masking tool.   Long-time user here; I've recently found that the Object masking tool is wildly useful. Not only for selecting objects but also to mask tedious details. It's improved considerable over the years and is now intelligent and accurate! I often use it instead of the brush tool and having a shortcut key would really expedite my workflow!   Thank you for your consideration.

All too often Lightroom shows a message like this one: That is of course not helping. After so many years on the market the developers should please finally include information about what went wrong, and where. Such errors are shown frequently when I attempt to move a series of images to another directory. It is also common to see the very same operation succeeding short after, without any action undertaken.

Wish is to have the ability to zoom into all images shown in Survey View to a specified zoom value, e.g. 100%. E.g. use Z as shortcut. Panning via Spacebar + Left Mouse would be essential in such a mode too.Reason: Survey view is useful for culling images quickly. However, as I often use a luck shot approach in sub-optimal lighting conditions I want to be able to quickly select a group of images in Library mode and set the zoom to 100% to find the one which is sharpest. Then I would mark this one for keeping and be done quickly with the rest. The Compare option kind of does that but only allows 2 images to be compared and that seems unnecessarily tedious when going through dozens of images.

How do we change the hotkeys in Lightroom?  The current W and Shift W are backwards, Masks, at least in my experience over the past 7 years using Lightroom, are 99.999999999999999999% used more than using the white balance tool, which gives the wrong color most the time anyways.  In 7 years using lightroom daily, I think I’ve used that white balance selected maybe once or twice.  But every single photo I need to use the masks and when simply pushing one button for the other tabs but requiring to hover my pinky over the shift and remember to hold shift before pushing W to get to the masks is insanely annoying.  So we need options to either change it ourselves, or the developers need to swap this.  I can’t imagine most other photographers or editors are constantly using the white balance dropper tool thing every single photo when they copy paste the settings and VERY rarely is it off slightly on the rest of the photos in that set, but masks on the other hand are almost always off and nee

If I have an ordinary collection with a custom order and I add photos to it, they appear at the end, as I would expect. I can immediately drag the photos to the desired position in the custom order.But if I have a published collection with a custom order and I add photos to it, they appear in a separate section, New Photos to Publish. There is no way I can immediately drag them to the desired position in the custom order. I must first republish the collection, which correctly places the new photos at the end. Then I can drag them to the desired position in the custom order, where they will stay the next time I republish.Likewise, if I modify a photo, it jumps to the Modified Photos to Republish section. Next time I republish, it will be restored to the correct position in the custom order. However, during the remainder of the editing session (prior to republishing), it is not in correct sequence but is off in a separate section, so I can't do things such as advance to the next photo in

In the next version of Lightroom could they implement a better spellcheck? The spellcheck currently in Lightroom3 does not work as well as spellcheck seen in Photo Mechanic or the basic spellcheck used on a Mac.Also could they make the caption box larger or the ability to increase the size. The current caption box is to small and makes it hard to see what is being typed?In a nut shell could they make the next Lightroom more like Photo Mechanic in terms of captioning and adding metadata ?

It would be great if LrC had a spell checker.  It should notify the user of spelling errors in text fields in the Book module and for title and caption fields in the Library module.  Maybe make the spell checker activity an option in LrC Preferences.  Irony: This “Request a feature” text box has a spell checker!

Several of my Clients are trying to move their Smart Collections Workflow from Lightroom Classic to Adobe Bridge. I frequently create colections that I sync publicly and I enjoy that feature much.  However, if I need to watermark images in a collection before I sync them publicly, that capability is not offered in Adobe Lightroom Classic.  I must first watermark and export the entire collection to a folder on my desktop.  Then I have to re-import that watermarked collection back into Lightroom and from that batch, I can create a publicly synced, watermarked collection.  Adobe, if you're listening, PLEASE GIVE US THE ABILITY TO WATERMARK PUBLICLY SYNCED COLLECTIONS DIRECTLY OUT OF LIGHTROOM CLASSIC.

As a photographer, I work across multiple genres—including composites, focus-stacking, timelapses, and multi-camera shoots. The single biggest flaw with Lightroom's current sorting system is that when I return to an old set of images months down the road, it is impossible to remember why I originally applied specific labels or stars.Currently, if I change the text names in a Color Label Set to fit a new project, it breaks the labeling on all my past work, turning them into "Unknown Labels." I am trapped between breaking past organization or being forced to use an overly rigid system where I can't remember what my own color codes mean.What I am requesting:Permanent, Per-Image Label Metadata: When I name a label, that text name should be permanently stamped into that specific image's metadata. If I change my labeling workflow for a new shoot tomorrow, my old photos should still retain their original, readable label names so I always know why they were marked. Custom Color Wheel Picker: T

Lightroom Classic already displays the pixel dimensions of an image, for example 8256 × 5504. Please also automatically display the corresponding total megapixel count beside those dimensions.For example:8256 × 5504 — 45.4 MPMore importantly, the megapixel count should update automatically after an image is cropped so the photographer can immediately see how much resolution remains.This would be particularly useful for photographers evaluating cropped images for large-format printing. Currently, we have to calculate the remaining megapixels ourselves even though Lightroom already has all the information required to make this calculation.It is a small addition that would make evaluating image resolution and print potential much faster and easier.

Please add an option in Lightroom Classic's Crop tool to display the physical dimensions of the current crop in inches or centimeters, calculated at a user-selectable print resolution such as 300, 240, or 200 PPI.Ideally, while cropping, Lightroom could display information such as:7200 × 4800 px | 34.6 MP | 30 × 20 inches @ 240 PPIAs the photographer moves the crop boundaries, these values should update live.An optional inch/cm ruler around the crop area would also be extremely useful.This would allow photographers preparing images for fine-art and large-format printing to immediately understand the effect of a crop on the final printable dimensions without leaving the Crop tool or manually calculating pixels, megapixels, and print size.Lightroom already has the pixel information necessary to perform these calculations. Providing this information directly in the Crop tool would make cropping for print considerably faster and more intuitive.
