According to Adobe online documentation one is supposed to be able to "Scheduling automated maintenance restarts" for Flash Media Live Encoder.  The documentation leaves much to be desired. Adobe Flash  Media Live Encoder 3 * Scheduling automated maintenance restarts I'm seeking a more detailed explanation on how to accomplish the task of "Scheduling automated maintenance restarts" of Flash Live Media Encoder on the Mac, since I can't get it to work based on the limited documentation available online. I have located the Startup.xml file that is used when the application is launched.  On a copy I added the time I want the restart to take place and saved the file.  When launching the application based on the new changes Flash Live Media Encoder errors out and then defaults to the factory settings.  Destroying my Startup.xml file in the process. The documentation talks about a "my_profile.xml" file, but I can't locate this file on the Mac.  Maybe the my_profi

     I have a 64 bit system, operating system 7, and on firefox.   I can get Fox News, but I cannot activate the videos that are offered on the right side of the page.  I click on it, it jumps to the main screen but remains black with no audio.    How can I activate the videos?

Hi,Weve been running AMS for about 6 months now to stream meetings live. Recently I tried to login into the web console and it was not taking my admin credentials.I have full admin rights to the server itself (Window Server 2012) however I cannot login to the AMS console. I tried to reset using the AMsadmin tool in a privledge command line and that was no help, I also tried to reinstall and set a new password and it does not take. I even did a complete uninstall, restart and reinstall however the password I even set with the installer does not work.Has anyone had this issue?Thanks,Dusko

I cannot find any truly fully function example code for an IP multicast player. I need to modify the code to work with our webcasting system. Does anyone know where the code is? Hi,I'm in the process of developing a realtime video chat application where multiple users can send video streams simultanuously. The number of users receiving the streams can be very big, e.g. 10 broadcasters and 500 receivers, each receiver should get all streams.I use RTMFP connections to an FMS and streams are published in P2P multicast groups by passing the groupspec to the NetStream constructor. Currently I'm having problems with audio/video synchronization and video stream 'jumps' (not continuous). From what I read on other threads, this is related to the fact that there is not enough upstream bandwidth for sending the streams. So my questions are:How to calculate the required upstream bandwidth on every peer for the given example of 10 broadcasters and 500 receivers (is it 10*bandwidth of one stream)?What settings (on NetStream, Camera, Microphone etc.) should be used for best results and how to adapt them based on the number of broadcasters?I hope my questions make sense!Thank

Hi,I've noticed different behaviors at reproducing two kinds of AMS HLS Streams. Consider the following two approaches:(a.) on-the-fly mp4 segmentation into .ts files, out of the HLS Apache module;(b.) offline pre-packaging, by hlspackager.exe tool from Adobe.I need to know what is currently the most robust and long living solution.We are planning to use flowplayer + dailymotion hls.js plugin on client side, to support the AMS/Apache HLS Streaming on all compatible Browsers.Now, the approach (a.) results in video reproduction with no sound demo, this is likely due to issues with transmuxing mp4 to HLS Stream.Approach (b.) instead works just fine! demoand It does not seem to depend on the m3u8 manifest meta infos, as the fragments produced by approach (a.) and referenced correctly in a m3u8 manifest result in reproduction with no sound.Solution (b) is just not optimal because it doubles storage need and complicates the publication workflowIs there any way to have a working on-the-fly mp

EDIT: I have rewritten most of the post so it represents real problem.I have enabled AllowedHTMLDomains and AllowedSWFDomains, set my domain to it.Now if I connect to the server with Flash player which support only RTMP streaming everything works as expected. Hi,I have some trouble getting mp3 streaming working through HLS VOD. We have a system where agents connect to record themselves reading a script (audio/microphone only, NO VIDEO) so it can be analyzed for phonetic fluency to assist in hiring those with good English ability.This system has run for about 6 years on Windows Server 2003 w/ MacroMedia Flash Media Server 2.x without any recording issues.Recently we had to eliminate Windows Server 2003 from our datacenters and needed to migrate to a new set of machines. We migrated to FMS 4.5 on Windows Server 2008. We have not made any changes to the client-side .SWF code that performs the recording since this product was first deployed.We are having a problem where 15-30% of recording attempts get cut off after about 15 seconds even though the flash applet indicates recording is still continuing with our microphone level indicator. Hello,in our solution, we use AMS 5.01 for authentication and management of our input streams, which we sort into some playlist played on one output stream, which is then transrated (Wowza is usedfor this), then pulled back by AMS and published to Akamai, YT etc.Everything is working fine, except one thing - after few minutes of publishing to Universal type of Akamai channel, some of the levels are unexpectedly dropped and disappear from the Akamai manifest files for HTTP streaming.I first thought there is a problem on Akamai side, so I discussed this problem with their support - from their logs, it seems that our stream throws unpublish event at some point, so their logic discards it. There is nothing in our logic which could cause that and nothing in our logs about such behavior of the given stream.For example, I push streams:somename_500@1234567somename_1000@1234567somename_1500@1234567and after 2-3 minutes, the first stream throws unpublish on Akamai side, the other two stays. We are getting issue with both HLS and HDS playback on Apple Devices. We wanted to play the .mp4 files as VOD. The same is working on Windows desktop, mobile devices, Android phones. But HLS is not playing in iPhones, it loads the entire stream/segments in buffer then plays. And in case of MacBook, HDS stream on Strobe Media Player plays only audio; screen goes black and sometimes shows green blocks.We are at AMS 5.0.3.Please help fixing this critical issue.
