When implementing the following Adobe Media Server Hardening Guide item, is it possible to substitute a hostname or subdomain for the value instead of using the domain.I would like to use something like:application.xcompany.comInstead ofxcompany.comRestrict which domains can connect to a virtual hostIf desired, you can restrict which domains are allowed to connect to a virtual host. By default, connections are allowed from all domains.Open the rootinstall/conf/ams.ini file.Set the VHOST.ALLOW parameter to a comma-delimited list of domains that are allowed to connect to the server. The default value is all.If a value is set, only the domains listed are accepted. For example, VHOST.ALLOW = example.com, example2.com allows connections from the example.com and example2.com domains. To allow localhost connections, specify localhost. trying to record through a sound board (allen and heath) adobe has been recording fine for over a year and suddenly will not record. checked all connections and tried other ports on soundboard. is there any option in the program itself that could cause this? if so what can i look for? if not do you have any other suggestions? thanks

My laptop has recently been updated and I now used windows 1o but for some reason that website does not work anymore despite the fact that I have put adobe flash and made sure that it was on. I was wandering if there was something I could do a bout that.thank you for any help that I get.

I have downloaded and installed Adobe Media Server Starter on my Parallels VM Windows 10. It is a requirement for a college course that we learn how to work with it. My problem is I have a MacBook Pro, hence why I use Parallels. I have followed multiple instructions to try and connect to localhost from parallels but when I put my admin and password into form and put localhost as server address it does not work. What is the correct way to work with AMS using Parallels?

Hi folks,We are running AMS 5.0.14.We noticed that when streams are switched, frequently, this will cause Live Packager application to output old segments.  Within our organization, we call this incident a "Live Packager looping issue".  When this occurs, the video seems to play old segments in a loop.  This requires that Live Packager be manually restarted.  After the restart, things work fine.  As everyone is moving away from Flash we are depending on Live Packager more everyday as a result we are seeing more and more of these issues.I have researched the logs that we output and have identified a few key items that I need help with to pin-point the cause of this issue.  In the log snippets that follow, the actual stream switched at 11:27:42:Live Packager Logs:2018-02-20 11:27:44 28061 (s)2641173 f4f:hls - NetStream.Play.InsufficientBW -2018-02-20 11:28:36 28061 (s)2641173 f4f:hls - NetStream.Record.NoAccess -2018-02-20 11:28:36 28061 (s)2641173 f4f:hls -

Many are migrating their flash application into javascripts. Qunado do you think to bring rtmp over javascritps? Is it scheduled? Should we start thinking about leaving Adobe Media Server?

The Authentication Add-In (used to authenticate Adobe Live Media Encoders connecting to FMS) will not install with Adobe Media Server because it looks for Flash Media Server and does not recognise Adobe Media Server.Is there a workaround or a new version of the Authentication Add-In?

1. We are currently experiencing what appear to be disconnects from our AMS server when in excess of about 1200 rtmp clients connect. Network engineers believe network congestion is a non-factor, as we are using 256kbps streams. Are there connection limits that need to be increased in the server’s configuration files? What could be causing the dropped streams?  We are using AMS 5.0.1 r1076 Professional.2. We are unable to load the multicast configuration tool. When loading the page, it just shows up as a dark gray background with no UI elements. Right-clicking displays “Movie not loaded…”

I have a virtual directory (Storage Area Network) in 'C' drive as well as in "webroot" folder in Flash Streaming Server. What do I need to do to make RTMP videos work from SAN directory on Flash Streaming Server. It works fine for http. RTMP from vod -> application folder works fine. I have done a lot of research and found out that we can use virtual directories for streaming videos. I am unable to find steps on how to use it....Thanks

Hi,I'm having an issue with a 10 minute limit on HTTP live streamed VOD files on my licensed AMS 5 on AWS server.I checked that the key is in the rootinstall/conf/ams.ini file.# License key for Adobe Media Server# For example:#    SERVER.LICENSEINFO = XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX#SERVER.LICENSEINFO =I can play back more than 10 silmutaneous streams via RTMP streaming, but can only play 10 minutes in HTTP live streaming. Players will build a player that goes from 0:00 to 10:00.I think i have some license problem.I found same problmes in this forum, but there is no answer...10 minute HLS limit on licensed AMS 5 server I am using AWS Marketplace: Adobe Media Server 5 Extended in Tokyo region.Thanks
