In the adobe instructions it say the following:livestream%i?adbe-live-event=liveeventnote: The applications/livepkgr/main.asc file expects this value. Flash Media Live Encoder uses the variable %i to create multiple stream names: livestream1, livestream2, livestream3, and so on. To use another encoder, provide your own unique stream names, for example, livestream1?adbe-live-event=liveevent, livestream2?adbe-live-event=liveevent.But what if I am NOT using Adobe Flash Media Encoder...  If I am using another encoder such as the Elemental do i need to send multiple streams named Stream1, Stream2 and so on.. And do those streams bitrates need to MATCH what i have in the m3u8 file???Or can I send ONE stream to AMS?

Does Adobe Media Server allow streaming to a web page in a form other than flash? Due to the changes made by several browsers, it has made my end users experience less than desired so I need to move away from it.

My employer has many licenses of Flash Media Server 4.  This tech uses Flash to live stream, but in light of the modern push, and Adobe's discontinuing Flash by 2020, I need to know how to proceed.  I work for a public education system and most of our elementary, and some of our middle schools use this software with Wirecast to broadcast in school news shows.It is becoming increasingly difficult to launch the live stream due to browsers beginning to disable Flash, or simply not allow it at all.  Does Adobe Media Server broadcast live to HTML 5 players?  If not, will AMS broadcast live to HTML 5 players?I am looking at alternatives, but the complexity of setting these up is not something I desire being forced to endure.  I couldn't find a direct email for support for our product and I am well aware that it is most likely out of support as it were.  Knowing Youtube and Twitch are using HTML 5 players, I need to work now on a solution for our schools so they

Hi, I am trying to play my .m3u8 file with jw player demo. It's playing when I am choosing Flash Render Mode. But not working for HLS stream. They are asking for set up CORS headers .Can anyone guide me about Cross headers ? flash media server ,provide property Microphone.names that retrieves an array of strings reflecting the names of all available sound capture devices. is there is any property that detect output device attached to system so i can select which one to play back sound. for example:- i need to play back mp3 file in flash. but i have more one output device installed in my pc. the question is:- is there is any way for falsh to list all (or detects) audio output device installed in my pc then let me pick one of them to play back sound by selected output device? thanks ...........plz don't late to replay me

Hi guys and girls.I am currently setting up a Elemental Encoder to send Adobe HDS stream to AMS5. I am having a VERY hard time figuring out what information i need to put into the encoder. I am able to send a regular RTMP stream to the AMS successfully. But I need to setup multi bit rate encoding. I am not an expert so any help here would be helpful. I have included a screenshot.What I am most curious about is what am i suppose to place in the destination field and the HTTP push field? (Basic PUT, PrimeTime,WEBDAV)I have exhausted my search for help with this.

We purchased adobe media server from the aws amazon and configure it but user could not run video smoothly.  Some time it is not opening the 1 mbps internet bandwidth.  Also please let me know the function so that video could not be copied.

I want the client application to make / record clips from the played video and save them on the server. I have some idea of netstreams and know netstream.publish is used to save recorded video on the server. All the examples i find are of recording from webcam, i haven't found a way to set the streamed video as the source / input for the netstream to publish.Help in this regard is greatly appreciated. I've got a license and need to rebuild my streaming server, but don't seem to be able to find a download link for version 4.5..  Can someone point me in the right direction to download the software?

How do you handle streaming MP3 content in AMS?  I've read the f4packager does not support packaging MP3s directly.  Is the best course of action to then transcode MP3s to support playback?  What is best practices for best scale?

Hi I'm  a complete novice with the Adobe Media Server. I'm currently signed up to it for the 30 day trial, but I require it for a specific purpose, and if I'm not able to do achieve what I want I'll have to cancel my subscription. I work a lot with Captivate, the eLearning authoring tool. Most of the projects that I design are very video heavy. I find if I upload the videos straight onto Captivate, it causes a lot of problems, particularly with tablets, as the output file from Captivate is much too big. So what I started doing was uploading the videos to Vimeo and simply embedding the Vimeo video into the Captivate project. This works perfectly. One project I worked on was originally 180MB and after doing this I reduced it to 3MB in size!!The only problem is that for several reasons (privacy etc.), I don't like having to upload everything to Vimeo.My questions is whether I can replicate exactly what I'm doing with Vimeo except using Adobe Media Server?I also want to know how easy/

I am trying to update Adobe Media Server 5 and the update is asking for the serial number. I enter the serial number, which has been verified by adobe customer support, and I get an error that the serial number is invalid. Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

Hi All,       I have 2 questions:     1. Can I upgrade my AMS from previous version(5.0.2) to latest(5.0.14) use old License and SN?     2. If I don't upgrade my AMS to latest version, Can I upgrade  dependent libraries for apache module (mod_hlshttp.so)?               the reason is that,  I upgrade the libs (libcares.so/libexpat.so) to latest by yum install, but they are conflict to apache mod_hlshttp.so dependent libs..               SO, Can I delete mod_hlshttp.so dependent libs  directly and use yum's libs?      I 'm here waitting for your help...
