Yes, exactly. With the stock setup (right from factory), I was already able, after install CC apps, to select Nvidia processor. It was indeed the default. However, Photoshop crashed soon after (not immediately, but once an image is opened and I simply zoom or pan a little). Thinking the nvidia driver was the culprit, I spent days trying to update it, rollback to a previous version, re-install all drivers... to no luck. I contacted Adobe support that eventually suggested to disable all GPU acceleration. That was not acceptable for me so I keept looking. After learning how to Optimus system works, where the Nvidia driver output buffers are directly written in the Intel frame buffer, I realized the Intel drivers could be responsible for the crash and tried to install their latest version. At the time (5 or 6 weeks ago), the *installed* drivers were version 24.x, and this was the last available version on Dell update. However, by going to Intel web site, I was able to download a newer version. They explained on the download page that .zip drivers were not offered anymore because some sanity checks needed to be made before installation and that was only possible with the .exe. I downloaded the .exe package, tried to run it, but it complained of not being able to run on my system where customized drivers were installed (that is correct, the Dell drivers are customized for their hardware) However, I knew that I preferred to lose the Dell customizations rather than being unable to use PS and LR so I tried to hijack the system by using 7zip to extract *from the exe file* (right click --> extract to folder blah). After doing this, I was able to point the device manager to these extracted files to force the upgrade and.... it worked! I saw no degraded performance or functionality, except for the missing Intel Control Panel that I did not use anyway. I could then select Nvidia card in PS and LR and they haven't crashed on me since that day. Pardon my weird English, but my mother tongue is French Hope this helps Best Benjamin
