Photoshop Developers

I can see in the API docs how to trigger an action file, and it shows fonts, patterns, brushes as optional inbound parameters. Can I also include my own parameters that are referenced in the action file? Can these actions include javascript files - is that supported? I'd like to do a number of customizations - smartobject, text, color replace that I can combine in one action, but I would need to pass it parameters to do so.

Hello,I am trying to implement Photoshop Api(Auto tone feature) for last few days in my React Js App. I have implemented the api following the docs, I still I dont understand that how to input/upload a image to the api and get the processed image successfully. I just want to know the full procedure. The documentation seems hard to understand.Thanks

The current api and batchPlay both cannot save or load act files for indexed color mode.  Where could I either post a bug report or track an existing one for getting this feature supported?

How do I apply to Adobe for a private TIFF tag? The TIFF 6.0 standard recommends emailing devsup-person@adobe.com, but htis email no longer exists.

Hello,I've been writting scripts, CEP extensions and now I'm migrating my plugins to UXP, the thing is that with CEP we had access to .JSXBIN files which helps a lot with the security, now with UXP we only have .JS files that we can secure with obfuscation. I have two questions:1) What is the best way possible to secure our UXP plugins code?2) I've been using "obfuscator.io" and JSDEFENDER (https://www.preemptive.com/products/jsdefender/online-javascript-obfuscator-demo/)Which could work the best?In the past I used obfuscator.io and either way, I got cracked... So what are yout thoughts about this securiy we can do these days?I appreciate your time.

Hi. I was looking to build a Photoshop plugin using the Photoshop API to speed up the banner resizing process, however I noticed Adobe may have been working on a similar tool? (Banner Ad Reflow): https://developer.adobe.com/photoshop/api/demo/?ref=bannerreflow However I can’t seem to download the plugin so wanted to understand what is happening with Banner Ad Reflow? Is it still adobes intention to release the plugin eventually? Was there a particular reason why development was stopped/paused? Any thoughts you can give would be super helpful to me. ThanksTom

a new function, layer.merge() is added since photoshop API ver23.but the documentation doesn't have enough description of how to use this function.https://developer.adobe.com/photoshop/uxp/2022/ps_reference/classes/layer/"merge" in this doc is missing sample code and the parameter descriptions. and I cannot find any photoshop-UXP code examples which use this new function layer.merge() .Does anyone know how to uselayer.merge() ?the API reference doc says that all layers to be merged need to be selected before they are merged.I understood it as all merging layers need to have its property, 'selected" to be true."layer.selected = true"but after layers selection, how can I execute layer.merge() to merge the selected layers?

As an Adobe enterprise user (i.e. you work at a company that has an Adobe enterprise account), permissions for new developers are set up at an organizational level.   To access the free trial, you will need to use a personal email account as your Adobe ID. The reason is because your organization has an Adobe contract in place that requires permissions from an Admin at your company. Once you determine via the trial access that the API works for your team, we can work to set up an official contract and set up permissions with your company’s administrator.   - The Photoshop Team

I am using scriptlistener to record some scripts.  It is of course filled with this stuffvar id41 = charIDToTypeID( "Vrtc" );var id42 = charIDToTypeID( "#Rlt" );I can figure some of it out. But I some I can't. In this case I am not sure what" #Rlt" means or if there are perhaps any other options that migh be used there.Is there a reference somewhere to all of these codes?  Or is this just magic?TIA
