Photoshop Elements

Hi I have been using Photoshop Elements 12 Editor for several years now. Whenever I try and save anything it crashes. Anyone have any ideas on what I need to do? I tried to contact adobe and the virtual chat said 'We didn't find a supported product in your account'.  Cheers!Suzi

We are happy to announce the release of Photoshop Elements 2021.2!    Build: 20210304.m.156367     After the update is installed, verify the build number by choosing Help > About Photoshop Elements.    Fixed issues in the 2021.2 update Application crashes while using touch pen with tablets.  Application crashes while using the crop tool.  Application crashes sometimes during exit.     Apply the update in one of the following ways:  Click Install Now or Install On Exit in the update message displayed in Photoshop Elements Choose Help > Updates (when the update message is not displayed)

Is the organizer rebuilt when there is a new release of the editor?  The build numbers are different, so it is unclear if the organizer was recreated also.

My catalog and backup are stored on external hard drives.  Unfortunately one crashed and when I opened up Elements 2020 my catalog was gone.  I still have backups on another external drive, so I restored my catalog, but I accidentally restored an old backup.  That backup does not have all the keywords that I want.  How can I restore the most recent catalog?  Do I have to uninstall Elements 2020 and reinstall it? Thanks.

Hi, Just seen the promised Photoshop Elements 2021.2 Update has been released today. No new features, but some important bug fixes - including the one for using touch pens and tablets 🙂 Thanks Adobe! Updates for Photoshop Elements and Camera Raw Edit: Looks like only the Editor application gets an update (moves up to Build:20210304.m.156367) while the Organizer remains at Build:20210126.m.155261 aka 2021.1

Hi, especially for photo editing I bought the Acer Spin3 laptop because of the possibility to work with te touchscreen and stylish pen. Unfortunately Adobe Elements 2021 crashes when I use the touchscreen or stylishpen. Does someone know why or whats a possibility? Thanks a lot!

Getting this error message  "This app can't run on your PC.  To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher"  This is only happening with Photoshop Elements 2021.  I had no problems with Premeir Elements 2021 .  I have updated to the most recent version of Windows 10.  My computer is less than 1 year old   have also tried to install while all antivirus software and firewalls disabled. What do I need to do?

This is the 2nd time this has happened. I use PSE 21 on Windows 10. I use A LOT of styles and have probably over 100 loaded in PSE. However, each time an update has happened (which has been both times since I have upgraded to 21), EVERY SINGLE STYLE was deleted from my PSE. Reloading every single style one by one (since I don't know any other way to do it) is VERY frustrating and time-consuming. Is there a way to keep this from happening other than to just not do any further updates? Or is there a way to reload them in bulk? 

I have catalog of 20k pictures and glancing through I have broken thumbnails for a small percentage (1-2%).  I tried the "rotate 4x" and "update thumbnail" tricks to no avail and when opening the file with PSE Editor, I'm informed they are corrupt. Fortunately I have backups which look valid (I can preview & open using Windows Explorer).  Would I simply replace the corrupt file with the good one by copying the good file on top of the corrupt one?  One of the files from the 4 circled has long file name that ends with "UTC)", what is that?  Windows 10Elements Organizer 19.0.0.0Core Version: 19.0 (20210126.m.155261)

In an Albumhow can I move photos around that are out of place?

Is it possible to have lost an entire catalogue?  When I open Elements 13 I get a message that the catalogue can't be found.  In fact, I can't find the catalogue anywhere in File Explorer.  All my picture files are still on my external drive, where they were save, but the My Catalogue seems to have vanished.  If gone, can I just creat a new Catalogue and import everyting into it, or will that create some conflicts?

Sometimes while working on an image, I want to use components of another image.  I drag the PSD file onto the desk top.  It appears in the layers side panel, but I don't know how to expand/extract the individual images (layers) it contains.  Is this not possible?  I've a ttached an image.  Can I expand the first file to see the layers? Mike 

I had been using Elements Organizer on my laptop with pictures stored an external HD.  I have since installed a 1T ssd in the laptop and want to move the pictures to the SSD.  I also use Ond=e Drive and would like to have them backed up there.  I backed up with a Full Backup and wanted to restore to my C: drive.  I chose the Pictures folder and Camera roll.  Not the files ocation seems conveluted and shows as, "C:\users\bille\onedrive\pictures\cameraroll\users\bille\onedrive\elements online\1948 04 01"  did I choose the wrong location to REstore or perhaps I should not have chosen to retain file structure.  I would like to simplify things. can yo sugges how i can correct this?  Thank you 

For the last few years I have used Lightroom 6 and Elements 12 with no issues. I upgraded Elements to version 2021, and it seems that Lightroom would not transfer images to Elements 21. After waiting some time I get a message that lightroom cannot open Elements 21. The after the message Elements opens and the image is transferred. I have re-installed both Lightroom 6 and Elements 21 but the issue continues.Have I got settings wrong or has any one else seen the issue?Geoff C

Just bought the new fuji xe4 and having difficulty importing images (raw) from camera to PSE 18. Being told that the images are corrupted or PSE doesn't recognise them. SD card has been formatted. Any help would be appreciated

Hi folksThis is annoying.I bought a new Windows 10 pc and tried to install PSE 2018 on it, my second installation with the first on the old pc.It said some elements didn't install and referred me to a link which didn't go anywhere.I persevered.It seemed to install so I tried to update and it said my licence had been revoked, because the original wasn't official.It was clearly official enough for me to use for the last 3 years!Every link I try on Support goes nowhere.All I want is to update my official copy of PSE 2018 on my new pc and update it (think there was a Camera Raw update). As far as I can see, I am allowed two pcs running PSE 2018.Can anyone please help?Brian

I bought Photoshop Elements 2021 to replace my old version Elements 10, but had a bad surprise: I cannot print my pictures in the size A3+ and I have not a lot of other settings I have in Elements 10. Do you know why? Thanks

I know this is going to be simple (ie I'm being stupid)  but somehow I've managed to compress the workplace option bar  "Quick" "Guided" and "Expert" such that they aren't visible !They are there but only identifiable by a "small bar" located where the "workplace fucntion" should be.Probably best "explained" by ref to attached screen scrape.Any suggestions as to how I get the normal workplace back?(Closing/restarting the app doesn't change anything, invoking from Organiser doesn't help. Have tried clicking/double clicking the thin bar, nothing happens unless I hit one of the hidden functions which is then activated, ie I can switch between "Quick" "Expert" etc but by trial and error !)

I purchased the Photoshop Elements 2021 software on Amazon to download to my Mac.  I have tried for days now and can't seem to get it downloaded.  When I signed into Adobe and started the process to redeem...it asked for a Code that was 6 spaces - and my order does not give me a 6# code.  Only a long serial number? 

Can Photoshop Elements 2021 add canvas by extending background? I have selected Canvas Size, made the appropriate adjustments including selecting background as the canvas extension color but when I click Edit the Fill Selection choice is not active. What am I doing wrong?

Hi,    I'm creating a Slide Show in Photoshop Elements 8 (using Windows 10).  When I attach some audio clips to the slides (using mp3 files), I notice a fading of the sound in several clips.  My voice sounds sufficiently loud for a while, then it fades a bit.    The fading does not seem to be there in the original mp3 files.  At first, I thought the cause might be the "fade" transition I was using between each photograph.  But, when I changed the transition between slides to "none", the problem did not go away.    I can boost up the sound in Audacity, and re-import, but I wondered if anyone in the Community might have an easier solution.

Currently using elements 18. If I download the latest ACR version 13.2 will I be able to use the enhance feature Thankyou
