Premiere (Beta)

Hi Beta community -  we have added new functionality to Team Projects in beta, which allows you to share media with your collaborators using cloud-synced directories like Creative Cloud or Dropbox. Google Drive and other cloud providers may not work. As long as you have shared the storage location of your media with your collaborators, they will be able to use and contribute to the cloud-shared media in your Team Project, from within Premiere Pro & After Effects.    For Creative Cloud a directory can be shared though https://assets.adobe.com/files and for Dropbox it can be either shared through https://www.dropbox.com/home  or DropBox app. All collaborators should have edit permissions on selected directory as shared folder and File Syncing should be turned ON in Creative Cloud Desktop App for all collaborators.   Click on 'New Team Project' . In new Team Team Project dialog, there is a new entry for Media.   Enable the copy media settin

I'm wondering if we will ever see a Sensei feature or something of that vain where you can have Premiere scan all your connected computer drives and such and it could relink your media faster in that scan than having to manually search for it everytime. I'm sure this would be a godsend and a massive timesaver for many editors.

In this case drag and dropping clips in the timeline doesn't work:1. snap in timeline is not active2. the sequence has already been created3. dragging multiple clips into timeline4. when I see the icoon that show that I can't drop the clips (the hand with the sign), my selection of clips is gone (not in the project panel)I have found the same bug in Premiere v14.7.0 (build 23)I have not found the bug in Premiere v14.0.4 (build 18)I have no idea when it first occured.

I am having serious issues after updating premiere this morning. I keep getting an error that says "GPU frame upload error" that occurs before the dreaded "A serious error has occurred and Premiere Pro must shut down" message appears. I am running the Beta on a M1 Mac Mini.   Additionally, my MOGRT files are split where they push part of the image to the other side of the screen.

Hi!I just upgraded my premiere pro beta program from (beta) 14.8 to (beta) 14.9. Now i'm not able to open the project i've edited in 14.8. And when i reinstall 14.8 i'm not able to open it. It says that it was saved in a newer edition of Premiere pro. Aparently there is no newer version, the problem is that i can't even open it in the previous premiere pro (beta) Anyone solved this issue?Regards, Fredrik Lindé

Hiya,I have 2 main computers and a new mac mini m1 that I'm running the beta apps on, which I plan to use full time when ready. Everytime I go and test, I have to log out of my other devices. It would be great if beta apps were not counted in the device count so we can still use our main systems and run beta apps simultanisouly on other systems without the need to keep logging in and out of computers. It's a small but very helpful request. Keep up the great work and looking forward to the AE M1 release.

If I start downloading something (to my Downloads folder), my audio track in the timelime immediately. It won't come back until after I restart the whole progam (and I'm not not downloading something). Anyone else experience this?

Steps to Reproduce every single time:1) take 2 clips on the timeline2) apply Morph Cut between them3) Wait till it's done analyzing -- Morph Cut has to be present4) try grabbing the beginning of the first clip to trim it and drag left or right (or just place the cursor and press shift + T to enter trim mode -- hanging will follow

Hi, I'm having consistent crashing on this beta 14.9.0.37 when opening certain recent projects while other projects seem to be fine. I'm reverting to 14.8 for the problematic projects. Thanks.

When you play the sequence with continuous scrolling set to on the audio waveform continously blinking as the playhead goes further, I know that it is caching and if you play that same piece again it won't be blinking anymore but this kills the point of the continous scrolling, and more over if you change the timeline scale of that same piece and start play it the audio waveform will blink again until it is cached

The beta update for January 11 seems to be crashing like crazy. I have the beta feature of New Captions enabled and whenever I open a project it generates a crash instantly. Is there something wrong with this update?

The new Premiere Pro Beta for M1 does not import RED files? After Effects Beta on M1 can do it - why is that so? Tony  

Trying to move points of a mask becomes a pain because there is giant delay and overshoot after you've moved a moue holding a point of a mask that is applied to a transform effect

I switch in the After Effects to cinema 4D Render even there is no need for the composition for that so that MoGRT would warn me That it will operate via the Dynamic Link.because I find it is more responsive and freezes less often as well as it renderes faster in MEncoder. And I found that lately in the Premiere Pro Beta 14.9 specifically (as the directX replacing OGL was introduced in the what's new) that Media Encoder Renders and stops and waits alot as long as The Media Encoder Is focused and I'm not doing any other activity in premiere or on windows in general (this goes for that same MoGRT Exported NOT as Dynamic link) and with the dynamic link it renderes as expeted -  only stopping and I try to playback something in PP 

System info    Application: Premiere Pro (Beta) v14.9.0.41    OS: macOS v11.1.0, RAM: 16.00 GB, CPUs (logical): 8 Premier crashes when editing 4K mov files, 25 frames. All I'm trying to do is watch and cut/delete content. It was working fine on HD content with same file format, but with 4K it's not handling it, well I think that's the cause. 

In the latest Beta build, we have added support of RED files from Komodo camera. Please try out your RED workflow in the build and let us know how it works.   Thanks Brajesh

After render and replace is complete the resulting video is defaulted to default media placeholder instead of a video that's been placed

Just some tracks. All tracks play in finder and other apps.The wave form appears and the playhead moves. If I go to PPro consumer version, all my labels are missing soI'm no further ahead trying to make my movie.  PLUS sometracks dont play there without even a message below.     

Ive been editing a short film and my Premiere pro BETA stopped working today..Now when i try to finsih the film it wont open in Premiere BETA nor Premiere Pro regular.Which means ill have to start all over and lose 5 weeks of editing. How can i get Premiere BETA to start workin properly again so that i can finsih project amd not miss my Tuesday deadline?

Hi everyone, We're excited to announce the Beta release of Scene Edit Detection in Premiere Pro! Powered by Adobe Sensei machine learning and AI technology, Scene Edit Detection automatically detects the cut points in a single video to facilitate per-clip adjustments, such as color correction and reframing. To use the feature, right-click on a clip in the timeline and choose "Scene Edit Detection" from the context menu. This feature is available in 14.3.1.24 and later (downloadable via the Creative Cloud Desktop application).  Known issue: running Scene Edit Detection on long clips (in the 1hr+ range) can result in system crashes. We're aware of the issue and are actively working on a fix. Screenshots: 

In the latest Beta build, we have improved export performance. on MAC only for H264/HEVC formats. In our testing, we are observing 10 to 20% reduction in time across various projects.   Please try it out and see if you are getting these gains. Also, in case of any issues, please let us know.

Does anyone else notice that the audio sounds terrible and different than what it sounds like in the sequence? I have never had this issue with the exact same workflows in the regular Pr Pro
